Date of Stay:
August, 2009
Stayed and this hotel in mid August for 3 nites and various things were wrong but due to the price figured I couldn't complain too much. However on the 3rd and last night of our stay upon returning to our rooms we found that the doors had been forced open at the bottoms and there were very large gaps between the door and jam about 8-10 inches were you could actually see into the room. Upon entering the room I found the only thing out of place were pizza delivery brochures on the floor. After getting my wife and children settled down because they were quite upset, I immediately notified the front desk and was asked if I wanted to check out. This was not a option due to most if not all hotels in the area were booked and in was already midnight. I was told that the manager would be back in the morning and I could address it with him. They did not offer to send anyone from maintenance to look at the door and I had to spend the nite in front of the door in a chair so that my family felt somewhat secure. I talked with the manager the next morning who told me he was sorry and that this was a common occurrence in the area and that it was pizza companies hiring people to deliver brochures and the people they were hiring were teenagers and questionable people. He mentioned people getting arrested, a new Florida law, and police response times. I asked him to come look at the doors to which he declined telling me he would get maintenance to check it out after we checked out. After checking out, I called the corporate office and voice my complaint hoping to at least recoupe this portion of my stay. I was told that the hotel had 10 business days to address the complaint and if not I was to call them back with the case number. 10 days came and went and I called the corporate office who told me that they had gotten a response from the property. It was identical to what the manager told them and that they were standing behind the property and there was nothing they could do for me. I wanted to share this experience in hopes of people reading this review can avoid the same issue. While I understand things happen, if the hotel knows this is a common problem, I would think that they would hire a security guard to walk the permisis in hopes of detering this. I know -I know you get what you pay for and my advice would be to pay more and stay somewhere so you have more concern for you security and safety. I would definately not recommend anyone stay here especially if you are traveling with women and children.

The overall standard of the hotel was horrible. Vomit was in the parking lot, next to my car. Our room was describe as poolside and in past experiences when I have stayed poolside, it was actually poolside not in a courtyard, 150 feet from it. The pictures of the hotel were very deceiving and misleading to the quality and cleanliness of the hotel. The hatch in the interior of our door was broken and with a two year old that can unlock the bottom door and open it, it made us feel very unsafe because proper upkeep to the hotel seemed to be extremely unmaintained.Ants were in the bathroom in the sink. Would never recommend it to anyone.

Close to restaurants & attractions TV didn't work & Pool needs some repairs The hotel is clean and has a pool. Staff are friendly. There is a game room and a small mini-mart type restaurant in the hotel, however, I have only seen it open once.

All in all it was a nice stay, maid service was really good. The shower was hard to turn off and on and the TV reception was not good. I would stay there again, but a few things should be addressed, there are repairs that are needed, at least in the room we stayed in.

The room was barely passable, atleast we had clean sheets on the beds and very tiny but clean bathroom. Lamps were broken, furniture was not dusted. No breakfast was provided, but not even a coffee pot or fridge or microwave were provided!!! The price was good, but they charged us extra when we arrived for Park Shuttle service which we DID NOT WANT TO USE!!!!! We did not go there for the Parks, and told them that at the desk, but were charged anyway!!!Choose another hotel!!!

I have to be honest, i applied the " you get what you paid for" saying, prior to arriving. We decided to go to Orlando spontaneously, just 2 weeks before being there, so we searched for something cheap. @ under $40/night on international drive and close to everthing we had planned, i thought there had to be a catch. Rats, roaches, meth lab, or something, right? I was very surprised and happy with the hotel and its staff. They were very gracious and kind. One thing that i appreciated that made our stay was that, (we used our own personal pillows and bed dressings), when we returned from our day out, they had made the bed up with our stuff. That was nice. If youre going to Orlando and Wet'n'Wild, Universal, The Holyland Experience, the International Dr strip, and a whole lot of other parks and things to do are on your agenda, Days Inn for the price we paid was great. Now it aint no 4 or 5 star resort, but if you dont plan on being in your room 24/7 and plan to be out and about, its what you need. Plus youll have more money to enjoy Orlando. Days Inn on International Drive gets my thumbs up.

The room wasn't very clean, the phone didn't work, the fan in the bathroom didn't work and the air conditioning struggled to keep the room a little cool. In the door was a half inch gap between it and the doorjam where it appears that someone tried to break in. On the positive note the king bed was very comfortable and the shower power was awesome!

Convenient for the place we were visiting. I didn't see anything I didn't like. For the price, I would recommend this to my friends. It was quiet and the beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was clean which was what I looked at the minute Iwent in.

Wedid not have the security. We will not stay there again. In the past we have been pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms and the friendliness of the staff at other locations in Orlando. Next time, we will travel a little farther and stay at a tried and true family place.

We stayed at the Days Inn International Drive Orlando because we just wanted an inexpensive hotel to crash in while visiting Disney World. The hotel was old but clean and quiet and the staff was friendly and helpful. But it is about a 15 minute taxi ride to Disney World and the taxi costs 42.00 to get to Disney World (they have to pay a 12.00 fee to enter) and then 30.00 to return to the hotel. So in hindsight we possibly could have gotten a Disney hotel right at Disney World for about 125.00 per night (which about equals the cost of this hotel plus the taxi fees). The Days Inn International Drive does have a free shuttle service to Disney World but it only leaves either at 7:40 a.m. and the next one is not until noon. Then the last shuttle returning to the hotel at night is at 10 p.m. so if you catch it you miss all the evening parades and shows at Disney since they all start about 9:30 or 10. If you have your own car it is an easy drive to Disney world from the hotel and parking at Disney is 12.00 per day. So having your own car would make staying at this hotel worth it. I think parking is free at the hotel.

Excellent location to walk International Drive attractions. Nothing unlike. Very good location, friendly staff. Nice little store on-site. Booth in lobby for See Orlando discount tickets was a big plus! Lots of good advice from them. Would definitely repeat at this motel!

Clean room, comfortable beds, everything I needed. My friend was upset the remote was broken, but we didn't ask anyone to fix it. They probably would have if we did. Incredibly convenient for where I was going. I will definitely stay here again the next time I need a hotel in Orlando.

We attended a convention. The beds were clean and comfortable. It was convenient to various restaurants. It was a good location for family activities. There was a dirty washcloth hanging from the shower when we arrived. We requested additional cloths. The toilet seat was too short for the size of the toilet. There were no tissues. It would have been nice to have a coffee pot in the room and a little refrigerator. There were times when you could hear the people in the next room. Please alert people that there is a small additional resort fee that has to be paid on arrival

Excellant location. The room was clean and the bathroom was clean. It wasn't fancy but it was great for the price and location.

Arrived at room with the door open and tv on. Only half of the lights in the room worked - very dim. Room smelled like urine - other guest were obviously on drugs or drinking - hanging out on balconies - It was a very frightening experience. I refused to stay at location - Was very upset after a very long travel and had to find another location to stay. Very inconvinienced.
