needed a place to stay for the night, clean room, comfortable bed for the night.

Location close to outlet. Unrepaired wall and door damages. Comfortable, clean and roomy, only that there was not enough towels and bath tab was partially damaged and not repaired.

They must have made some improvements! Rooms were clean, staff was very pleasant, the continental breakfast was fresh, hot and available. The rooms are a good size and the pool area looked nice. There wasn't much within walking distance but for a low budget business traveler, more than adequate.

This is the worst hotel i have ever stayed at! The hotel is old and in very bad condition. The staff is rude. Not a safe place!

The ceiling in the shower had a large hole in it which exposed a large amount of mold. I let the desk clerk know and he said it had been like that for years saying "Yeah, our maitenance guy just never fixes it." There were cocaroaches in the bathroom and I found a spider in the bed...I'd have to tell anyone to LOOK ELSEWHERE!!

Quiet and great. Nothing I did not like. It was great. It was in short distance of my destination.

We stayed here because it was close to a concert at the Coors Amphitheater. Low price reflected the condition of the tub and shower, which had cracked tiles and black mold. Bed ok, nice and quiet, friendly staff, but wouldn't stay again because of the mold.

We were visiting Coronado Island and it was the closest least expensive place we could find. However, it was right by the freeway with lots of night noise. In addition, they are putting in new beds and origionally gave us a room full of the old beds and remodeling materials, so I had to go and exchange. The area is very poor and it made walking at night kind of scary.

It was not far from the places I wanted to go. Lack of working Internet. A good non-luxury place near restaurants and attractions in southern San Diego. The rooms are accommodating and the front office staff tries to please.

The desk clerk was very rude when I checked in. Hotel staff did not provide another cover when asked. I do not recommend this Hotel until they hire new staff with better personality and customer service.

The hotel check-in was fast and front desk personwas friendly and efficient. Room included microwave, cable TV,refrigerator, a very nice couch, and a small work desk. Everything worked and the room was very clean. Only problem was that there was a Cal State work crew which blocked the parking lot with their trucks at night. This is expected to last for the next three to four weeks. The crew also took up many of the rooms so the hotel was virtually full. The freeway exit puts you right in front of the property and it's only about 15-20 minutes to San Diego and 3 miles to the Mexican border. Other than that, it's a good value if you need to be in the area soutth of San Diego.

They staff was friendly and went out of there way to find me a play pen for my son. The hotel was perfect. The hotel desk clerk advised me there was no notes on the account and they had already given away the last roll away bed. I was happy the hotel was able to find me a play pen for my son to sleep in.

Hotel was too far away from SeaWorld and San Diego Zoo. Told the desk my phone didn't work, they said they would change it but never did. Had to call from payphone. Hotel not in greatest part of town if fact it isn't in the city of San Diego it's between National city and Chula Vista

The hotel staff was very courteous and flexible, it was clean and convenient for us. I personally do not like the energy - saving light bulbs, they are dim at first. A clean and convenient hotel with great amenities, including fridge and microwave. Perfect for a stay in south San Diego county. Staff was extremely courteous and eager to please.

The good: it is easy to find and get to, friendly staff, and most importantly the room was clean. The bad: Our first assigned room was still being cleaned. The second room turned out to be already assigned, and we were asked to switch 45 minutes after settling in.The pool was ice cold, the beds were hard as rock, and there was NO continental breakfast the next day as advertised. It was a clean place to sleep, but that's about it.

Convenience of hotel location. Hotel was a bit old and smelled like a smoking room even though it was supposedly a non-smoking room. My whole suitcase smelled like cigarettes!

The bed was comfortable and it was quiet at night. There was no battery in the smoke detector, and one of the light fixtures did not work. The hotel in general was comfortable and clean. Everyone was friendly, we felt very relaxed and had a good night sleep.

"Our room had no screen in the bathroom -- and no window! It's just a sort of vent -- vertical slits that open and close with the turn of a knob. The room was extremely cold and there was no way to secure our room. Also, they ""run"" every patron's license plate and don't disclose why (many hotels do this because they receive a fee if they are able to turn over guests with a warrant for their arrest or a parole violation)."
Date of Stay:

The front desk staff. The room, specifically the bathroom. There is graffiti on the bathroom and the door jam. The grout on the bathroom floor tile is dirty. The closet shelf is coming loose. There was gum on the information card. The knob on the bathtub took an extra ordinary amount of effort to turn on the water. An older of weaker person would not have been able to use it. Outside there were open containers of some kind of plastic. This facility was not close to the usual experience I have had in the past with this chain.
Date of Stay:
August, 2006
It was dirty. This hotel was disgusting. There were stains all over the wall. The bathroom area was disgusting and looked like it hadn't been cleaned. The upkeep of the rooms was very lacking. I felt like I was in a sleazy motel that rents by the hour instead of a Days Inn.
