We love Hilton Head, but haven't been there in two years. This trip we were not prepared for the BARRAGE of island wide soliciting at every possible location....hotel...walmart...and every restaurant. They are trying to promote the island and we didn't care how much money they could save us because we already had our family vacation planned. They would stop you here and stop you there. You couldn't let your breakfast settle before someone would walk up to you in the parking lot. We were there for a relaxing vacation and didn't want to be bothered by some smooth talking salesperson.

We paid on travel website and had the hotel reserved. Paid in full and everything was ok... When i got home i realized the guy at the front desk had charged me AGAIN and had OVERDRAWN my account. It has been almost one week and my money still hasn't been credited to my account even after i called and explained what had happened and the guy told me it would be taken care of promptly. I would absolutely never ever stay here again. horrible horrible service. They had a nice pool. Thats the only nice thing i have to say.

I needed a hotel for one night and I thought this was a good option. It was a Days Inn which is pretty reputable company, in a nice town and a good price. I didn't want to pay for a room for just one night. The room seemed fairly clean but the upholsterd chair was filthy, the bedspreads seemed old and the room smelled fairly musty. I was traveling with my kids and didn't plan to be in the room except to sleep so I thought I could deal with it. I had an issue in the room other than those mentioned and called to front desk for some help. I was basically told "too bad, so sad." What I found really funny was the sign they had sitting on top of the T.V. stand that said how dedicated they were to customer service and making your stay as pleasant as possible. BULL! I unded up packing up my kids and checking out at 10:30pm. I probably would have just spent the night and delt with the problem on check out the next morning but it was the ultimate lack of respect and care from the staff that lead to my departure.

Days Inn is close to Palmetto Dunes resort with access to local shopping outlets and resturants and just a turn off 278 to get to the beach. The rooms are a bit dated and the a/c takes a while to get going good, but the beds are soft and the linens are fresh. The rooms were so affordable through Orbitz that i couldn't have been more happy!

Conveniently located. Outside entrances, outdated furnishing and decor. Located conveniently to businesses and restaurants. Although the outside is new looking and the grounds maintained, the room was a typical 80's style roadside motel room, small, tiny bathroom, window AC. No luxury or character, but clean and sufficient for a one night business trip. The bed was comfortable and there was complimentary high speed internet access, which was convenient.

Clean rooms, good location, great price and friendly service just to name a few. We had a good stay. No musty smells,no bugs and the hot water was HOT. Even the bed was comfortable.

The staff was very helpful and friendly while we were there. The rooms are older but very clean. We didn't use the pool but it was very clean. The rooms all have outdoor access but we felt safe. In good part of town very convient to everything in Hilton Head Island. We feel it is an excellent value for the money and well worth the stay. With the price being so affordable you can have extra money to enjoy other things there. There is a putt putt course right outside the hotel that is really nice.

The location was great, close to shopping, restuarants and the beach. The rooms with only a king size bed are very small. Rooms with 2 doubles is average for that type hotel. Use caution when booking through Orbitz - confirm what you are really getting with the hotel before you pay online through orbitz.

Near the Holiday Inn on although not on the ocean. Close to most attractions. Musty hallway, viewed 3 rooms, picked this one, one other was smoky, another AC didn't work. My room was fine and worth the money. This hotel is fine although the Days Inns are not kept up like the Marriott's or other brands. I had to check 3 rooms before finding this one. It was not smoky smelling like the other one, and theA/C worked. It was well worth the money, but my advice to you is look at the room before you agree to stay in it. The guy at the front desk was very helpful and allowed me to move to another room before I unpacked my car. The pool was nice enough to eat a sandwich at one of the tables and sip on a beer.

I stayed here for business. I attended a conference that was hosted at a near-by 'resort hotel' on the island. The resort rooms were very expensive as it was right on the beach and had all sorts of resort amenities. I decided to stay at the Days Inn because it was much more cost effective and I knew I would only be sleeping at the hotel - It was fine for my purposes. Nothing fancy, but it serves the purpose for just needing a small room (not new or fancy) with a bed and a quick bagel/muffin continental breakfast. Would not recommend for a 'family vacation'.

I booked a non-smoking room in advance, but to my chagrin the frontdesk representativet said that it wasn't "available" when I showed up. Only when I questioned them about the point of having a reservation (I remembered a Seinfeld episode about rental cars when I said that) did they upgrade me to a suite? The rep did it with reluctance and sounded condescending at best. Besides, the breakfast area is crowded since they have just 1 toaster. I wasn't overtly pleased to say the least!

After checking in to hotel, I noticed the rooms did not at all compare to the exterior picture. The room was very small, smelled musky and damp, the matress protector had SEVERAL hairs embedded in the fabric. I was offered a different room and also found it to be in the same condition. The mattress in the first room was very lumpy, a line all the way across the bed. I asked the person at the front desk to have the maid put on a new mattress cover as I thought that was where the lumps were coming from. She did change the pad but stated that mattress was lumpy, not the pad. The mattresses in both rooms were completely worn out and did not appear sanitary. I spoke with the manager about reversing the charges on my credit card and he said he could not since it was booked through ORBITZ. The manager did make a phone call on the hotel phone to ORBITZ and allowed me to speak with a representative from your company. The person I spoke with told me that the charges would be reversed on my credit card, and then he placed a call on another phone line to the hotel manager as I awaited on the line also. The hotel manager stated that ORBITZ had requested him to reverse the charges on my bill and it would be done. I appreciate the amount of time that the ORBITZ representative spent assisting me and also the respect. Another item I would like to mention, I don't understand why anyone would decorate a room with a blue and brown printed bedspread, a bright orange chair and ottoman, green (worn out) carpeting - the color combination was awful, but I could have put up with the colors if the bed has just been clean and comfortable. I really feel bad to give such a negative review, and hurt anyone's feelings. I would just hate for a traveler to find the same concerns as I have - it could make the trip very unpleasant. Thankfully, I was able to enjoy my weekend, knowing that I would not be expected to pay for a room in which I could not possibly sleep. Thank you ORBITZ! I can't respond on

Service good; breakfast buffet had nice variety, food fresh; pool clean; room looked clean but was very musty and bed very lumpy. When I reported the musty smell, clerk at desk seemed concerned and made a note to check it out.

When we checked in, the front desk help had the reservations all confused. Even though we had paid in advance through Travel agent, we just knew that they were going to end up charging us again. We begged for paperwork showing there was no additional charge but they INSISTED that they could not give a receipt because we had booked online. ?? We understand that people make mistakes, but we actually saw this one coming and even asked for the manager at the time, who came to the desk and told us not to "worry about it." Well, we just got our credit card statement and they DID charge us a second time. The hotel is ok but interactions with several front desk personnel were less than satisfactory and would keep us from ever staying here again.

It was very easy to check in and check out of this hotel. Nice location and relatively clean accomodations. Could use a spa outside next to the pool. Otherwise, stay was enjoyable and staff was very helpful.

Very close to good restaurants, and they have free breakfast. They have smoking rooms. It was great for the price and a weekend stay. Convenient locations that is close to entertainment, golf, shopping, fine and moderate dining.

This hotel was great for the price. The rooms were clean, comfortable and up to date. There is a nice pool, fitness room and laundry room available. Next door to putt-putt center. Excellent location.

We arrived at the hotel and the woman at the front desk was extremely nice and willing to help us. The room was very damp, smelled like mildew. The first night we did not have too much of a problem. The second night, however, we had to move our room because we had one of our other friends meet us. When we got into the 2nd room we noticed it was infested with cockroaches. I went to the front desk to let them know I was leaving. The woman who was there, not the same as the night before, was extremely rude. She had no reason to be that way neither I nor the people I was with acted out of place. I would not advise anyone to stay at this hotel.
