The smoke alarm was disconnected (from the ceiling) and left setting on the desk. The bathroom door wouldn't close because the door was not cut right after they installed the bathroom tile - it scraped across the new tile. Old furniture that had holes drilled in the top where a TV or remote must have been bolted down. Phone didn't work, they did bring up a new phone. Will not stay at the Days Inn in Grinnell again.

Morning front desk staff person was very attentive and nice. First room - mold smell. Second room- bad beds, needed some vacuuming. Overall, I was not real impressed. Other than the front desk staff, who were very friendly and the morning breakfast which was adequate, I had the following overall concerns- Room cleanliness. Hot tub cold and pool area needed cleaning. Hallways loud, could hear doors closing and people walking and conversing. Smelled moldy and dirty in places.

The rooms were clean and restful, we spent two nights and it was nice to be able to come back to a quiet clean room after a long hectic day.

Everything was upgraded- bedding, shower had rounded curtain to make it pretty big, massaging shower head, etc. Mold on shower curtain. All in all, it was a very nice hotel. I would definitely stay there again.

Hotel was very nice, a pleasant surprise after driving all day. Staff was exceptionally helpful. Only complaint was the refridgerator was not very good. Right off the highway and close to food and shopping.

Not a thing. Poor service, dirty rooms. I will never, ever, ever stay here again. The people were rude, the hotel was run down and the rooms were filthy.

Breakfast was fresh and good. Tub needs mat; it was slippery. It was very nice for the price. Clean, pleasant. I needed a first floor room and they got it for me. Sheets were peach-colored! Just an example of little touches one usually doesn't see in a budget motel. Will stay there again.

"Poor service. Misleading website, not all rooms have fridge. Told 9 people can stay in 1 suite (as long as some sleep on the floor) Not all Suites have Sofa Sleeper. Dirty pool. I would not let my dog stay here, which is allowed. This was my first time staying here, and last. Now I know why there was no problem finding a parking spot near our room."

Unfriendly; inadequate facilities. Not a very good value for the money. No smoking rooms are right next to smoking rooms and so very uncomfortable in that regard. Air conditioning cycles off in the evening and temperature control is not good for restful sleeping. Bathroom door scraped against the floor and was so loud getting into and out of that it awakened our room and those on either side.
