They gave me smoking when I wanted non-smoking. No internet service, a hotel worker told my husband, it might work in the lobby. Lots of unsavory people around, with glazed and watery eyes. My mom and sister got a key to a room that had people in it, so I was nervous all night. Lots of banging around outside during the night. I might never stay at a Days Inn again!

Location. Coffee machines in room not working nor the 2nd one, thin bath towels. Friendly people running hotel, but it do need to change or clean carpet and add better towels. I did not like the smell of the carpet. Fresh fruit like the Comfort Inn can be added and less sugary cold cereal.

Bed was so hard you might as well have slept on the floor and the pillows were pretty much non-existent (hard and flat). Luckily I had brought a can of Lysol for my road trip. The shower ran out of hot water after 2 minutes and was also full of hair and dirt in corners. After a 17 hour drive we took a couple of hours nap and then left for another hotel as I started to get a head ache from the smell of mold. Asked for an ashtray and the staff was unable to provide me one. (I did have a smoking room) Asked for a phone book and they did not have one. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Corporate Days Inn needs to look into this place as it certainly does not meet their standards.

The Days Inn Franklin in Franklin, VA was very convenient for us, being only 3 miles from the site of an event I was teaching at. It was also less than a mile from the exit ramp off VA Rte 58. The rooms were comfortable, there was plenty of hot water and the staff was friendly. The continental breakfast was small but fresh and requests for more coffee were quickly taken care of. There were quite a close by eateries considering that FRanklin is a small town. We would stay there again.

Right off the Free Way. Room dirty not really clean, coffee stains on coffee cups. Not the greatest place for the price. My wife was walked in on while the staff was sleeping. Wasn't the cleanest place. Didn't meet my expectations.

The room was in disrepair, flies were everywhere, and the stinch was unbearable. We asked for a non-smoking room while online, and they stated we ordered a smoking room. I had to wipe the toilet down before my child could use it. There was duct tape holding the door together. We felt unsafe and refused to stay in those conditions. I would not have dared to have my children stay in that place.

The Days Inn Franklin will not be on any future destination lists for me. Upon entering the room, I was kind of shocked. The floors had not been vacummed. There were stains on the bedding. The refrigeration did not keep anything cool at all. All of the drawers were broken on the nightstands and dressers. The hotel was under construction (they were repairing the roof). Twenty minutes after bringing in our luggage and settling down, the power to the entire hotel went out and was out for close to 2 hours! The whole street was out of power. I know this wasn't the hotel's fault, but the desk clerk again was very rude when I walked down to talk with him. Needless to say it was 90 some degrees outside and it was hot without power! You couldn't even go out to get something to eat because the power was off in every gas station, every resturant, everywhere! The men that were performing construction on the hotel, also had rooms at the hotel. On the evening of the first day, they decided to hover around our car outside drinking beer and blasting music in one of thier vans (which we could hear over our tv that was turned all the way up!)And on the second night they smoked cigarettes on the second floor balcany, flicking ashes on all the cars parked below, as well as throwing pizza on our cars. Again no help from the desk clerk. On the second night we decided to go to the hotel pool for a couple of hours. The pool was not that clean and we didn't stay long due to the poor behavior of the construction crews yelling profanities at myself and an underage female child (my niece). Long story short, I was not impressed with the sevice, cleanliness, or ability to handle situations from this hotel. I don't recommend this hotel at all!

Nothing. Everything. First room had broken door lock and ants. Second room was not cleaned to normal standards, noisy. Desk staff spoke English, but not helpful. No parking place near room, had to park in unlit back lot. Bathroom light did not work. They came to fix it. As soon as it was turned off and back on, it didn't work again. No one available to fix it. Breakfast was a joke. Out of milk and Orange juice. Maids tried to clean room at 8 am. Totally overpriced for lack of quality.

I had a very pleasant stay recently at the hotel. The room was very spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The view from the side (a field) is less than desirable, but overall it was a nice stay.

Close to freeway, bowling alley, Wal-Mart are near. Rooms were not that great, didn't think you would want to take your socks off and walk on the floor. Not that good of a place to stay just seemed run down.

The room was very dirty with bugs and holes in carpet and bedspread.
