I´m living in Shanghai and last week stayed at this hotel. The cleanliness of the place was't really accurate. However, this just happens talking about the dirt, because the last day, my 500$ mobile phone disappear from the drawer. It was my spanish phone and I´m not really using it in China. That's why I didn't take it with me. With no time to report to police because our flight, I just had to trust hotel security staff. After a week, the only answer I've got from them is that, after watching the video recordings, 6 people had entered to the room. All were house keeping staff, and no one saw any phone. Draw your own conclusions.

1. The hotel provides continental breakfast which has a variety of choices. It has a mixture of Chinese and Western food, including fruits, vegetable, eggs, bacons, pancakes, fried rice and Chinese dumblings, among other choices. 2. The hotel is within a walking distance from Tienmen square, Forbidden city, Wonfungjing business district where you can find many shops and resturants. 3. Subway stations are also within walking distance (either in the Wonfungjing street and near the Tienmen square. You can walk to Tienmen square through a couple of small parks. 4. The hotel is very quiet, but the room is small. The room is clean, but not spotless. I would rate the room as a three star or less, but the location is a 5 star. If you want a budget hotel just to spend the night, this will be the place for you. The staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, epecially those in the business center. There was one problem for this hotel. It is located off the main streat and it was difficult to find for the TAXI driver. Make sure you print out a map and phone number of the hotel. Once you arrived there, you can ask the front hotel for business card for the hotel which includes phone number and a map. Other information: cost for a ride to the airport is about 90 to 120 rmb ($15 to $20 based 6.7 exchange rate). We went to a bank in Wongfujing district to get some local currency. We also went to the great wall by hiring a taxi (500 rmb).

Excellent breakfast buffet and super location next to Forbidden City. Slightly slimy shower. I would definitely stay at this hotel again because of its location. It is centrally located between the Forbidden City and the main shopping district. We walked everywhere and occasionally took taxis to other shopping areas or evening restaurant outings. Days Inn Forbidden City provided us with an excellent hotel location and affordable price. A very good value.

The location of the hotel is excellent for most tourists visiting Beijing. Forbidden City is a five minute walk away. Metro's are very close. Staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay at this establishment again.

I stayed at Days for 7 nights in February 2009. and I must say, I'm very impressed. It is well located, being half way between Forbidden City and Wangfujing Street (about 10mins walk to either). And as per all reviews I have read, the taxi driver had difficulty finding the place, even though I had the name, address & location map in Chinese. I would give this place a 4 star rating. The room was very clean, with a modern bathroom; and the free broadband in the room was a major plus. The reception staff were always willing to help out, and there was always at least one staff member available that had very good English skills. The buffet breakfast was very good yet slight pricey, but it was convenient. The next time I stay in Beijing, Days Inn will definately be at the top of my list of places to stay.

This hotel is in a very convenient location, a short walk away from Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, the subway, Wangfujing Street and the Donghuamen Night Market. The staff speaks English and is friendly and helpful. Our room had an in-room safe, 2 little bottles of water / day, hair drier, shampoo, toothbrushes/toothpaste, soap, lotion, great towels, an alarm clock, a good air conditioner, an internet connection and the TV had a few English channels. Off the lobby there was free access to the internet in the business center (with fast connection speed). We stayed 4 nights and it was quiet every night except one. Our room overlooked the area where they kept the bottles from the restaurant, and one night was bottle collection night. That was not quiet. The only other negatives were that there weren't many drawers to put clothes in, and the beds were on the hard side - but we found that to be true at several of the hotels we stayed at in China (we stayed at 7 others). They did have a restaurant, but it was a bit pricey for the breakfast buffet (we didn't eat there any other time). I would recommend this hotel if you don't need 5 star treatment, but just need a nice clean place to spend the night.

Was a suprise after I check in to find out that the rooms are horribly small and the worse was it given a basement room more look like a shelter then a hotel room. Shouldn't be given a three star hotel and worse it kept mentioned is an American manage resort but it was purely manage badly by the Chinese. Suggestion to online travel shouldn't have this hotel under the list as it will only bring the image down

Very good location if you want to do all your site seeing around Beijing. 5 minutes walk to Tianamen east station and Tianamen square which leads you to the Forbidden City(palace museum). Very friendly service and clean.

My friend and I went to Beijing (this was my 3rd trip there) to run the Great Wall of China Marathon. A friend of mine from Ireland recommended this hotel and knowing how particular she is about everything we decided to try this hotel. We were so very pleased. It is located a short walk (10 minutes or so) to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square through a very charming hutong area filled with little restaurants, art galleries, and shops. We had a simple clean room with 2 single beds, the rates were extremely cheap for Beijing (especially that area), and we liked the courtyard style of the hotel. The restaurant was ok, nothing special but Beijing is so full of fabulous food that it really didn't matter. We will stay here any time we go back to Beijing.

The Days Inn Forbidden City isn't your best choice for a hotel in Beijing. My room was in the basement, and the carpet was wet and moldy in spots. I was moved to another room, which was slightly better -- but even then the door key never worked, and the hotel had to call housekeeping to let me in each time I went out and came back.

It has great convenient location. AC worked well. Nice shower and nice pillows. It was clean. Room was small. Friendly and helpful staff. Loved the location. Very convenient. Loved the large shower. Everything worked well in the room. Mattress could be a little softer but all the mattresses in China were hard. This was the best mattress slept on during stay in China.

The staff was super friendly and always very helpful. The location was incredible and I could not have asked for a better room. I only wish it was a little cheaper. It is a little expensive for Chinese standards, but moderate for American standards. Overall, it was a great stay!

The location of the hotel is very good. In the Centre of Beijing. The rooms in the hotel are small but functional. Everything you need is there. The relation between price and quality is good. The service of the personell is excellent.

Good choice for travelers on a budget. Clean rooms, restaurants and activity nearby. Hotel breakfast buffet had cereals, juices, congee, pancakes, rice & vegetables. There is also a small business centre room.

Central hotel with nice facilities. Though the rooms are quite small and there wasn't enough light. Close to the hutongs and some good shopping.

The hotel is good, rooms are nice. Location is excellent. Only for a hotel that opened less than a year ago, getting run down very quickly ! Quite interesting fungus growths in the bathroom. Not as bad as some Chinese hotels but still.
