i stayed at this hotel last week and housekeeping and maintenance leave much to be desired. desk clerks(both young ladies) are awesome and very helpful. as i am visually impaired, i required help to get my breakfast(nice fare) and they always were willing to help. first day-no light in closet area and never repaired during whole stay-4 nights-even though i notified them immediately. burned out sunlamp and no plug in tub. while not serious issues for me(don't need light), could be for next guest. housekeeping was terrible! a newspaper(even though i asked them not to leave one-can't see it to read it) and the trays from my breakfast were left on the floor inside my door (which i almost tripped over) two days in a row! looked like trash cans were emptied and fresh towels were put in-that's all! even went without coffee the last day. hope the "maid" was repremanded. would not stay here again. om a positive note the bedding was great and it is very quiet for being next to the college.

Front desk was very helpfull. Room left something to desire. One of the chairs had a nasty stain on it. The room smelled very musty I don't know if it is standard practice or not, but refrigerator was unplugged and took forever to cool down, and one of the lamps was unplugged, and when I plugged it in, the plug wouldn't stay in the outlet. Other than that it was a pretty decent stay. Alot of water pressure in the shower. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, I slept quite well. The room was quiet and didn't hear much road noise.

Everything about the stay was good. The only thing I was disappointed with was that the room we were given has a smokey smell to it and there were cigarette burns on the tub and furniture in the room. That was disappointing. I realize now that I should have said something then.

Friendly staff. Wireless internet not accessible from all rooms. Walking distance to University of Oregon. Helpful staff, decent breakfast. Wireless internet in lobby but no accessible from all rooms. Good value.

On the whole, the place was okay and the price was good. The jacuzzi was lukewarm, and one of cut her foot on a valve.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The mold in the bath tub and the breakfast. I would recommend the Red Lion because it is close to the Portland airport, the room is very well appointed, the staff is very friendly and efficient.

This motel is really stark, which is okay if your budget is the main concern. It is wonderfully located, close to the U of O, and across Franklin Blvd. is""Market of Choice"", GREAT for delicacies of all kinds. Staff is friendly and helpful. Ask for extra blanket(s); the heater in room is VERY noisy as it cycles on and off. Good drive-by ""Dutch"" coffee place 1/2 block away. I got 2 nights as package and saved about 200 dollars over regular flight without hotel! Very quiet, esp. in rear rooms.

Just OK ...Drunks in stair well at night not good etc. No discount even when staying the whole week. no AARP discount.

Centrally located, clean and quiet. I'd have preferred to be further away from the college but it did not have an impact on my stay this time. Prices in this area because of the school are out of line with larger metro areas.

My husband, son and I stayed here 2 nights. The staff was friendly, room clean and comfortable about what we expected for the price we paid. We walked to the campus and could take a footpath to the stadium. So the location is great. Currently the street in front of the hotel is torn up for construction of new transit line so getting in and out is a little difficult. We stayed here on the weekend when the construction workers were not working, so I wonder what the noise is like during the week.

There are two sections a newer one and and older one. We were in the older one. They have attempted to update but have cut corners. The carpet had a big stain the breakers popped off for the airconditioner. The shower head was good. The continental breakfast was very limited. I will not stay here again. I would rather drive a little more than waste my money.

The staff were excellent. They were so friendly. We needed to change rooms because the first one smelled smokey, and they changed us immediately. I guess just the first room smelling like smoke when it was a non-smoking room, but again that was taken care of. The front desk staff were so helpful. We had to call twice to get directions, and they were more than happy to help. The room was clean. The front reception area and breakfast area were spacious and clean. They had coffee/tea 24 hours and breakfast started early and had a great selection.

They were family friendly and animal friendly. The toilet area was small with no fan. The room had easy access from my vehicle, was children and pet friendly, with a friendly staff.

Bed was very comfortable. Filthy carpet, peeling wallpaper, a huge dried former wet spot on a chair. They told me it was going through a renovation, however, I can't imagine that cleaning the carpet and filthy upholstery would have hurt them any. They offered me a possible other room for my second night but I wasn't sure it would have been any better. When I asked about another room I was told they were full.

The security of the building was great and the location was perfect. The ants crawling all over the room was unacceptable and the employee's response to my complaint was even worse. The room itself was conveniently located and there was great security features of this facility. The front desk staff was polite and accommodating. Upon entering our room it was discovered there were ants. We mentioned this to the housekeeping staff and she was very abrupt and rude. She cleaned it off however the next day they were back and were dropping from the ceiling and crawling on the bed. As we returned late we decided to just go to sleep as we were checking out the next day. .

Close to where I needed to be. Hotel staff not very helpful. I ordered a room for 2 adults and 1 child. I called the hotel ahead of time requesting a room with either 2 beds or a king if that is all they had. I arrived at 11:30 PM and he told me I was the last to check in. My room had 1 queen bed and 3 of us. He finally brought me a roll away but then wanted to charge me $10 for it. My son had a gymnastics meet the next morning at 7:30 and had a horrible nights sleep. The reason I didn't get my request is because they had a cheer leader comp staying there and they needed to get 4 to a room so no doubles were left by the time I got there.

Close to where we needed to be. Put in smoking room that was so bad we had to leave w/o refund. Hotel was probably okay. The smoking room was like walking into an ashtray. We had to leave w/o recourse and find a hole in the wall hotel but at least it was clean and fresh.
