It has always been very clean and friendly staff. We enjoy the lounge there also. Road noise. They have upgraded this Days Inn and it has always been a favorite stop for us in Dubuque.

despite calling ahead to confirm internet worked (we both brought laptops) the signal in the outlying room was too weak. They put us in a room closer to lobby and signal was ok - but AIR Conditioning not working (they knew it didn't tell us til we called to ask why no cold air). 88 degrees out. Asked did we want a fan or to be moved to back building as air was not working well in the first building. We had to have internet connection. We were offered $50 off the total stay as an apology. They provided a fan. I travel extensively - I have NEVER found a bug in bed until this trip. Two small bugs found IN the sheets. Horrible, horrible, horrible. When checking out I inquired about the $50 credit. Because we had pre-paid manager said there was nothing they could do - I said...that's what we were told last night because WE HAD NO AIRCONDITIONING. Manager said, you were with Orbitz so the total was already lower! What does that have to do with anything I asked. So you have nothing you can provide us for staying at this hotel despite the promise of a $50 credit. No - she said - nothing I can do - I said no gift certificate nothing? You put us in rooms without internet or without air conditioning despite our specific needs/requests. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANY PROFESSIONAL TRAVELER STAYING THIS MOTEL.

The price was right and the overall experience was pleasant and comfortable. They had no refrigerator, but I didn't expect one. The Hotel was very clean and well kept up. The breakfast was adequate and fresh. The management that we met were very friendly and pleasant to talk to. We were very pleased with our stay and can not find one negative thing to talk about.

Big bed and decent breakfast area. No AC and area wasvery noisy. The room was okay but the fact that there was no air conditioning made it very hard to fall asleep on a hot night. Also the live band was nice except that they were right outside my room and I could hear them until 1:00am.

Right off US 20 as you enter from Illinois. Has a friendly pub, with some food available. Free breakfast each morning. Taditional motor lodge set up. Rooms were fine for the money.

The Days Inn Dubuque was a disappointment. First of all, this hotel had NO HEAT to turn on - I was told by the front desk that the heat will not be turned on until sometime in October!?!? I did not like the fact that I could not control the temperature in my own room, and quite frankly, most indoor places need heat before October. The rooms were fair, but it was obvious from the scent that this is not a non-smoking hotel (even though our room was supposedly non-smoking. the saving grace of this establishment was the breakfast, which was pretty good. I did not use the outdoor pool - brrr!

On my recent stay at The Days Inn Dubuque we arrived at 2:30pm to check in. Check-in time begins at 2pm which suited our needs as the event that we were going to began at 4pm. When we arrived at the hotel we were informed that our room was not ready. It would not be ready for another 30 - 60 minutes. This would not allow us the time to relax or freshen up before our event. I asked if we could at least get the keys so that when we returned from our event we could just go right to our room. I was informed that they could not accomadate us for that either. When we returned after our event we were able to complete our check-in and go to the room, which was pleasant and clean with close access to the lounge and breakfast room. It was convenantly close to the main road through town but a little confusing getting off the highway and getting to it. Overall, I would probably stay there again but if I experiance the same problem of getting my room when it was supposed to be ready it will be my last visit.

At first I was not pleased at all. When we got to the hotel the young lady at the desk was not friendly. When we arrived to the room it was very clean. However the air conditioning was not working. Since I have Cystic Fibrosis, this became a problem for me breathing. We called downstairs and the same young lady told us to keep trying to turn it off and on. If it did not work in 10 minutes, then call her back. We had to call down in 10 minutes. We made sure we stayed polite as possible even in the discomfort. When someone came to our room for maintainence, this was when we were surprised. The owner, himself, came to our room and brought in a new air conditioning unit. He stayed until he made sure it was working. He was very friendly and apologized for the inconvenience. He also stated the young lady was new and still had to learn a few things. He offered to take us down to the restaurant and buy us all sodas until the room became cool. I would recommend this hotel because of the management and owner. Because of him, we had a more pleasant stay.

Location close by to hospital where we were going t o visit a relative. There were no door mats to catch the winter track-in. The hotel served our needs very well. The rooms were comfortable & the breakfast was very adequate with food being continually replenished.

Great location and price, friendly staff, also there is a free ride to the dog track, nicely done over all. There was a light that shines in room right above door also the bedding sheets came off bed old or just need replacing from use. Ok hotelbut didn't get much sleep from lightI couldn't shade out and bedding falling off when Iget in the bed but was nice not to have to drive to the casino that wayI could have a few drinks to relax all about the vacation.
