I've stayed at this property several times while attending the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee. From the hotel, it is a pleasant 15 minute riverside walk to Old Sacramento. The hotel is spotless, inexpensive, nicely appointed for a budget hotel, and offers a decent complimentary breakfast. All in all, a super value. The only negative is that the staff can be cold and even a bit surly at times. In the middle of our stay, a staff member pounded on our door at 11:30AM, telling us we needed to leave our room immediately. We had a multi-day reservation and the error was theirs. I also witnessed unwarranted surly behavior toward another guest at breakfast.

We stayed here based on the recommendations on this site. On the plus side, we found the room to be very clean. The seemed to be recent renovations and the marble in the bathroom was a nice touch. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. On the minus side, the noise from the freeway and the trains is noticeable but easily solved by turning on the air conditioner and using it as white noise. We came down for breakfast at 8:30am and most all the items were gone. The make your own waffles was a nice touch and better than your average shrink-wrapped breakfast you usually find in an economy hotel. Folks should realize this isn't the Ritz Carlton and set expectations accordingly. Overall this hotel is a well-run, excellent value.

We used this place for a base while looking for relocation sites and it was a good experience.

Location to all areas I needed to visit. Nothing. I plan on staying there again in June 2009.

The staff was more than helpful, giving us great restaurant and touring advice. Room was immaculate. Free breakfast was great. The issue we had at all was the in room refrigerator froze our food, as it was turned up too high - it thawed back out quickly. I would definitely stay here again! Very good value! Wish we could find more hotels like this!

This hotel is definitely ideal for the price and location. The rooms are comfortable, all basic ammenities are available and the staff is courteous and friendly. Would definitley stay there again the next time I visit the Sacramento area.

The staff was very friendly. I stayed at this hotel because it was inexpensive and close to the airport. I had stayed the previous week as well and would stay again.

Had stayed here before when it was Capitol Inn. Has since been completely redone. Rooms clean, beds comfortable, lots of pillows. Breakfast basic, except for cook your own waffles. LIked availability of computer. It was great for looking up directions, checking e-mail, etc. Had a great time. Would stay here again. Could have had a few more choices on TV, especially Disney Channel for kids.

This hotel appeared to be recently renovated. The rooms were really clean; the bathroom nicely appointed with Granite walls that utterly silenced the bathroom to the room at large. The location was good--close to downtown but on the main route to the airport.

The spacious room layout and the fridge, microwave & coffee maker. The showerhead leaked creating a low-flow situation making it difficult to rinse out thick hair. It was a great place to stay the night after a concert at the Arco Arena. The room was spacious and well laid-out. The room contained a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and a hair drier which all came in handy. We were able to snack on our left-overs from the mexican resaurant next door after the concert. It was close to the best experience possible on a budget.

The room was clean and freshly painted. It was very quiet at night. The location was convenient. it was nice to have breakfast choices: the usual packaged rolls, cold cereal, fruit, juice, coffee, and some great do-it-yourelf waffles.

Hey, I was tired, the room was clean, warm and comfortable. For the price, what else could I ask for? The only problem was that, when I checked into my room, there was no remote for the TV. It took about ten minutes and two visits from the staff to produce a working remote. It may sound petty, but those ten minutes were valuable when all I wanted to do was fall into bed and be numbed by the tube. Otherwise, however, not bad at all...

Friendly desk clerk, very clean room, computer in the lobby to check in for flight. Bed was a bit stiff, not just firm, but stiff. We stayed one night before our return flight the next am and found the hotel to be very conveniently located close to, but not directly next to, I-5. The room was quite even though there was loud construction on I-5 (the motel 6 is across the street right next to the highway and seemingly blocked much of the noise) and the room was very clean (recent remodel?). A few of theTV stations had poor reception, but that did not concern us. I would definitely stay here again.

The only thing I didn't like was the extrem long way to Old Downtown. And in addition the area you have to walk thru looks quite rough. When it was dark I decided to take a cab back to my hotel. With just $ 9,- that was ok. Next time I would look for a closer to down town one.

Location. Tight parking lot. Information about local open food store from the lobby check-in person would have been most helpful since we arrived so late.

It is small, but nice. I had a non-smoking room and although the room did not smell of smoke the non-smoking hallway did. It wasn't much of a bother, but I thought it very strange. The night staff was very friendly and the rooms were comfortable. For such a small motel the room was comfortable and larger than I thought it would be. It was a short street ride to the Capital.
