I'm pretty laid back and easy going and I understand that it's hard working in customer service but I only had 1 out of 4 workers at the desk actually try and be nice to us the entire time we stayed there. They misquoted our price when we checked in and when we checked out there was no apology. On top of that I was greatly disappointed with how one of the workers treated an "international" guest that had a question; he treated her as if she was five and gave a very arrogant tone of voice to her and used very disrespectful sign language. But the maid staff was nice and did a very good job of keeping the rooms neat and clean. And the hotel now offers a complimentary breakfast. On the down side it is located down town so be prepared to shoo away beggars if you walk anywhere from this hotel. And parking will cost you $15 a night. To me the customer service is what makes the Hotel a pleasurable experience in the end and this staff was completely rude to me and the rest of the people I came with. And this isn't the first time we have had problems with this exact same hotel. I would not recommend staying at this hotel until they do something about their staff at the service desk.

my most important requirement was to have a pool, theirs was not open. the overall look was dirty looking, the balcony door wouldn't open once we opened it we could not shut it. we had to go to the lobby a second time because our key cards didn't work

I have stayed in Days Inns before, and have never had a huge problem with any of them. But I feel compelled to review this particular location. It is in disrepair and I would not recommend it. I stayed here for 3 days, and members of my party experienced leaky ceilings dripping on them in the middle of the night and rooms that reeked of urine so bad they had to change rooms. On the less egregious side, my room had burned/bald spots worn through the carpeting, stained upholstery on the chairs, washed out color from a TV obviously past its prime and about to burn out, and a balcony door that did not open. The staff and service were fine, they just don't have much to work with. The lobby looks good, but the rooms don't reflect a similar upgrade within the last 3 decades. Peeling wallpaper, mildewed shower stalls and flickering, faulty lights await in the guest rooms. The cafe advertised as reopening in June 2007 has not, and a sign on the door says it has been closed indefinitely, so don't hold your breath for it to make a comback nearly 2 years later. The neighborhood, while conveniently adjacent to MARTA, the world congress center, acquarium and other downtown spots, is sketchy and I would not recommend walking unaccompanied at night, or even walking accompanied at night. My advice: Spend a few dollars more to stay somewhere a little more updated and comfortable.

The distance from the aquarium, New World of Coca Cola and Centennial Park and the low price made it quite satisfactory. Room needed new carpet and chairs but it was clean and neat, the linens were fresh. The front desk at check in and the second day were rather snippy and not friendly at all. But the staff on duty the evening of the second day and on check out were very friendly. It would have been nice to know up front that they charged 15.00 per night to park at the hotel.

I attended a conference at the Hyatt and this Days Inn hotel location was available at a good price and the perfect location. I felt safe walking to and from the hotel at all times of the day and early evening. There's even a great sushi place a block away. The hotel price was good, but the decor in the building is best described as "worn." The carpet needs to be replaced, the walls are beat up and scuffed up, and the elevator doors are scratched. However, the hotel staff, without fail, was friendly, helpful, and engaging. I'd stay there again just to interface withe the staff!

Free wireless internet, comfortable beds, free continental breakfast. Clean and comfortable, friendly staff and quiet.

I booked a room 2 nights with a online travel website after reading the not-so-great reviews of this place , i was a bit skeptical, but it was in my price range. After my 6 hour drive to the hotel from my home i was pleasantly surprised at how nice the loby and front desk looked. newly re-modled i suppose. there were only 2 clerks for the 10 floor hotel, but they were both so friendly i didnt mind waiting in the 5 person line of people. the line moved quickly and i was able to get in my room quickly. *thumbs up* i was on the 9th floor, the room was very clean and the view from the back of the building was wonderful, yes there is a parking lot below but there is also space between the buildings so you can see further out into the city scape. beautiful. its very conveniently located, only 6 min away from the place where the concert was held. i dont care for Atlanta's plight of one way streets but thanks to pre-planning and having printed MapQuest instructions to everywhere we did just fine. the Contental breakfast includes danishes of all sorts, doughnuts, english muffins, bagels, w cream cheese-jelly-or-butter, apples, bananas, cereal, and milk, orange juice and coffee. If anyone decides to stay here at the Days Inn in Downtown Atlanta i highly recommend it. its PERFECTLY priced and you'll be happy with your stay! also, there is a REALLY nice Italian/pub restaurant 2 blocks away, Max Lager's American Grill and Brewery, i walked there in the rain, its not far at all, and they serve WONDERFUL fresh brewed beer and hand tossed gourmet pizzas, its a nice place, a bit expensive (dinner for two, 50$, but The Swordfish special was delicious!

The only good thing about the place was the location; close to Americas Mart. There was chewing gum in the floor that you stuck to every time you walked over (right at the foot of the inner bed), a sticker the size of a pop can on the television that had obviously been there several weeks; compacted dirt behind the bathroom door a quarter inch thick. Fortunately when you go to shows, you don't have to spend much time in the motel room. As I said, the ONLY good thing was the location for what business we had. It really was so nasty, the health department should have been called, and I may send them a note about it now that I'm back. For what they charge per night, they really could afford to do a better job cleaning. It also needs to be updated, decor is very drab.

This hotel is located very close to some very nice restuarants and the MARTA line, if you're coming in from the airport and don't want/need to rent a car. The room was comfortable, but I've been in closets larger than the bathroom. However, to be fair, it was just the toilet and shower in the one room and the sink was open air. Still a little small. Also, while the hotel has WiFi, I had some problems connecting with it. Overall though, the breakfast is good and plentiful. It was a good stay. Will go back if needed.

Excellent location within walking distance of food & entertainment. You have to pay extra for parking, which is not included in the room fee. Nothing much to look at, but an excellent value and great location make this a hotel to consider. Unfortunately, they charge extra for parking.

I booked this hotel to attend the SEC Championship game at the Georgia Dome. The hotel is in a great location. We walked to the dome, maybe 10 or so blocks. The parking was gated and felt safe. The only issue that we had were with the beds. They were the hardest beds I think that I have ever slept on. It almost felt like sleeping on plywood. However, it was clean and a good value for the area.

What I would expect of this level hotel. Proximity to the convention center, CNN, the aquarium, great restaurants, and Centennial Park and the low price made it quite satisfactory. Room needed new carpet, some repairs to bathroom plaster, but it was clean and neat, the linens were fresh, the air conditioner did not have a mildew smell. There was a lovely well- mainitained outdoor pool. The staff were helpful. The airport shutle made a regular stop at this hotel; no need to schedule a return trip. The restaurant was closed for renovations; it will be convenient when it opens again.

For the most part, my stay was just fine. Though the hotel could use some upgrades, it was clean. I was dissappointed at the fact that the only dining place inside of the hotel was closed 'indefinitely', and the room did not have a refrigerator. The staff was neither overly cordial nor rude. They provided assistance if necessary. If you don't plan on spending most of your time in the room and you really just need an acceptable place to shower and sleep, this is the place for you. I would stay here again. You get exactly what you pay for.

Proximity to important locations. No restaurant/lounge. Room was clean and comfortable, although beginning to look worn. Everything was in good working order, including elevators.

We stayed at the Days Inn Atlanta Downtown over the first weekend in April. Most things we experienced were very standard with a Days Inn hotel. Certainly nothing special from the staff or the quality of the room, but that's what we expected. This hotel is in a great location, which allowed us to walk to many of the sites in downtwon Atlanta (CNN, World of Coke, Olympic Park, Phillips Arena). We didn't use the outdoor pool because it was cooler outside, but it didn't look like a body of water I'd want to be in. But again, it provided exactly what I expected. If I'm on vacation in downtown Atlanta again, I would stay there again. It's a very good value for the money.

Very convenient location. Walking distance to Dome/Congress Center area. Accommodating staff & very clean rooms. 24 hrs restaurant attached to hotel...good food. One may be able to avoid parking fees by parking on the street, behind hotel. Only ""complaint"": mattress was too firm.

The hotel is close to some of the main tourist attractions in Atlanta as well as the subway. The rooms are clean and the staff friendly.

It was close to my concert venue. Rundown. Seemed very old. Rooms had stains on carpet. Chipped furniture. Expensive parking.

Easy walking distance to CNN Center, GA Aquarium, and Olympic Park.Rooms need a face lift. Shower (head) could be used for a removing paint rather than a relaxing shower.Front desk needs to go through soft skills training on how to be friendly to customers.
