We absolutely loved the location. It is a very short walking distance from a Metro station, with a few places to eat, and we felt safe in the neighborhood.

It was convenient to the hospital. Accessibility to store for convenience foods. Clean and convenient, but i find it unconscionable to have to pay one third of the cost of the room in order to park one's car in their lot.

Great Hotel,,, just 2 things need to improve ,, not good with the small details , ex. our room had no coffee or stirrers , when brought to their attention,, fixed immediately... Also do not stay in a business room,,, no airconditioning in bedroom... BUT ,, would stay here again and recommend to anyone ,,its a great hotel

I've stayed here three times over three years for a total of about 9 days. This hotel is in a pretty safe area near a grocery store and a major pharmacy chain, and a few blocks from the Van Ness metro stop. There are several restaurants very close by. The hotel staff has been fine. The rooms are kind of junky, though (broken lamps, sketchy TV remotes, badly-attached fixtures, etc.). On my most recent visit there was a 1-inch gap between the door and the door frame, so I could see people walking down the hallway. There was a hair on the bathroom wall. I was traveling alone and wanted to do it cheaply, and it was acceptably safe and smelled OK, so I kept going back, but its not a great place.

Good hotel, good location. Would recomend.

I was nervous about this place from reading the reviews. Let me give my take on the place. For the price, it is unbeatable. Metro station 2 blocks away which is an easy walk. My family felt safe walking around the area. The hotel staff was friendly enough. The rooms are small but clean and the beds are comfortable. If I paid for a five star hotel I would have expected more, but for the price I was very plased. If I go back to DC I will stay there again.

Well located in a nice area, close to the subway and many convenient shops. The staff were very friendly. Some of the facilities needed up dating. My room was nice and quiet.

Hotel is next to a burger king, italian rest. and close to the metro Van Ness, CVS Pharmacy, Starbucks, Taco Bell and KFC. It is also close to the Zoo. Very safe day and night. The hotel is secure and we felt safe in the neighborhood. The hotel was small and a bit old but everything worked and the staff was very helpful. Tip for the traveler: learn to use the metro. The metro from the RR Airport will lead you to the Metro Center and then to Van Ness metro station. I will be a $3 ride instead of a $25 taxi cab fare. Do not go on the Interior Building Greyline Tour cause it's a rip off. Visit the Union Station-its a great big mall. Wear running shoes is the best choice.

The hotel ad upon reserving it said "special, free parking". When I checked out I was charged 15 per day. I had no proof on my printed itinerary that the parking was supposed to be free. BEWARE!

Nice location a few blocks from the Van Ness-UDC Metro station. The hotel is a little old and tired. There was a short black curly hair in the bed when we checked in. For the location and price still a good stay.

Inexpensive, comfortable, close to public transportation. Nothing. Clean rooms and comfortable beds.

Nicely located within 2 blocks of Van Ness metro station, this was a typical Days Inn establishment. Only minor gripes were no internet terminal available (though they had wifi) and the staff could have been friendlier. However no real complaints and would stay here again given it's price and location.

I stayed four nights at this budget minded hotel that satisfies basic accommodation needs. A good place if you're not spending much time in your room. This is not the place for a romantic getaway. Cons: --The business class room I had reserved was not available upon my arrival, I had to put my belongings in strorage the next morning in order to move to a business room the next day. (They were very apologetic and the online travel agency has made good with discount code for a future accommodation). --The in-room safe was atttached to wallboard and fell from the wall!(They did not charge the $/night fee and they do have safety deposit at the front desk.) --The in-room high speed internet was not working part of my stay (there was high speed internet available in the lobby w/o privacy). --The in-room refrigerator was noisy (luckily I am not a light sleeper). Pros: --The business class room has more space than the standard room, offering a work desk. --The room has plenty of electrical outlets, which is not always the case even in expensive hotels. --Very clean room, including bathroom. --The microwave and refrigerator are a great resource. --Relatively safe area. --They promptly shipped a fedEx package w/o extra charge (I had all forms filled out with charges to account). --Good location with very easy access to Metro. --The staff was very friendly and accomodating to the expections of a 2 star hotel as is rated by the online travel agency.

I was impressed with the security that the hotel has. It is an older hotel but still very nice. I felt very safe at this hotel. I felt safe, and that was important since I was traveling alone and I am woman. The Metro is right down from the hotel, a two minute walk. Only one of the workers was rude and not help full. The rest of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Very easy to get there from BWI and National.

I checked in and went to my room and was immediatley disappointed. The location was not in a good neighborhood and the place was very dingy. I checked out with in 30 minutes and went to another hotel, however still paid for 1 full night. I would not suggest this hotel to anyone I know.

Nearest location to business meeting. Stain on carpet. Great location near American University. Room was really nice for the money paid. I didn't like that fact that we had to pay 22 dollars for parking in their garage.

The hotel was a good hotel. The room and lobby was nice. Parking was behind the building and it cost * for 3 days which wasnt that bad. The location was about 3 blocks from the metro and it was easy to get around. The hotel was next to a college and houses. It was a safe location and there were several fast food places to eat around the hotel. The metro was only 10 minutes to the White House. The only negative was the check in time. I got there about 12:30 and they told me my room wasnt ready. I came back about 3 and they told me it would be another 5 minutes. I would recomend this hotel.

Great combination of price and location. The hotel is in a great location and close to the metro and the price was ideal. The hotel was not fancy and could use some clean up, but the room was clean and the cleaning service through the week stay was fine. I would go back if given the chance.
Date of Stay:
May, 2009
The hotel was close to the metro in DC and several good restaurants. The room overall was way too small and the pillows were very uncomfortable. The hotel was in a great location but overall it was small and seemed outdated.
