This hotel (if you can call it that) was much less than expected. The room was dirty and the bathroom was so nasty that I didn't take a shower the next morning.
Date of Stay:
August, 2008
Front desk check-in person was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was basically what we expected for a 1-star. The gentleman at the front desk when we checked in was extremely pleasant and helpful.

Older Motel, in need of restoration or maybe demolition. Very friendly and competent staff. Room was very cold, draught from the outside facing door and window was horrible. Did not like the "door to the outside" arrangement. This is an older style designed in safer times, needs better security and restriction to access of guest rooms.

This was the worst room I have ever stayed in. The first time i used the toilet it overflowed. The water tasted terrible, the coffee pot never worked right..the floor was damp, there was a huge space at the front door at the bottom of it that let in cold air, the room had a smell to it. We were so upset by it that we didnt stay for the breakfast which was to be free..how much you would get to eat was something else since the ticket they gave was was for 3 dollars and some cents. But after the experinece in the room we didnt want to chance the food. It was raining that night..water was everywhere along the outside of the room doors.

The Days Inn Columbia room was fine, average motel room, but the bathroom was very small, there were missing and chipped tiles and I wasn't convinced it was clean. Price was cheap, free breakfast was good.

Pool. Bar next to pool with heavy drinkers. Lawn not mowed, dirty rooms, cracks in ceiling, cracked tile, someone else's clothes left in room, broken lawn furniture, musty.
Date of Stay:
November, 2008
Clean and comfortable and the staff is extremely nice. The bathroom is tiny but who cares? I use a hotel to sleep and shower, this was fine. I would definately stay here again. I love a hotel that has a restaurant and bar. Perfect.

We stayed here while visiting our Mizzou student. The room was mold infested. Bare wires were exposed at some outlets. Carpet was worn and dirty as was bed linens and bedspreads. Breakfast was a joke - as was the bar. 5 for a drink and breakfast was sparse and cold when served. Reported our displeasure and called the manager - no return call. My advice - spend a little more and find a real hotel concerned with it's image.

Good bed & shower pressure. Roaches behind stool, very dirty, AC shooting water. Would not recommend to any one.

Because the hotel was wonderful. the Front desk was helpful. He was really nice. I lost my little breakfast card and he made my another one very quickly. the breakfast was no 5 star but was good. the waitress was nice too. over all i plan on staying here again.

We were supposed to stay however after seeing the outside of the facility we wanted to see our room before making a commitment. The room was terrible. Carpet was stained. Holes in the drapes. The bathroom looked like it had never been cleaned. The room smelled of mildew. Holes in the walls. Stains in the ceiling. Both beds were sunken in the middle and hard as a rock. The front desk was very nice and refunded our money.

It had a roof. Glasses stolen, hair in tub, no towels, and lights did not work, remote broken, cold breakfast with dirty tables, room smell like pot. I was very disappointed in this hotel. We arrived and had long hairs in our tub. The vents had a layer of fuzz on them. The lights next to the bed did not work. The remote did work for the first hour and then again the next day for a little while. We got up in the morning to find that the same person that was working the bar was waiting tables by herself with about 50 people. We sat down at a dirty table with sugar and salt spilled all over it. Don't plan on eating here you get a spoonful (literally) of eggs and you can see through both bacon strips. The toast would have melted the butter if it was warm. I went to the desk to let them know that the server needed help but the gm and the desk person was not there. I returned to the dining area and he was bussing the tables, not cleaning them. We went to the game and returned to beds made, tub not cleaned and my friends reading glasses had been stolen. We turned the room upside down to try and find them, we called the desk and they wouldn't be able to check anything till morning. We checked in the morning and the person cleaning the room had called in sick. I wonder why? Oh yea and while were sleeping our room reeked of pot for about 2 hours, you can open the window above the door but it makes for a noisy night with all the traffic. Do not stay here, I repeat do not stay here. There is a dreary inn that is much cleaner, saver and nicer close by. When we checked we came out of the lobby and 2 guys rolled out of their car and said, you couldn't find anything else either huh.

Looking at other people's comments, I think this hotel is bi-polar. The staff is nice, but the rooms are awful. Dirty carpet, stained linens, rooms that badly need more work. Yuck. I'm not that picky, but this was just not a good value. It should be 35 a night.

Free breakfast with room. Room a little old. Ok hotel.

Was advertized as a 3 star motel, had to be the nastiest lodging facility I have been in.Room smelled, faucet leaking, looked like the most recent renovation occured in the Nixon era.

The people there were marvelous--friendly, helpful. The property was run down--damaged furniture, rusting sink drain, damaged shower surround. The property needs a face lift. However, the friendly, responsive staff and comfy beds and pillows made this a great stay. There was even breakfast and a pool. We go to Columbia several times a year.

Room was fully stocked with everything needed for my stay. Pool was one reason I picked this Motel but pool was closed. Friendly staff, room very comfortable, plenty of towels, soap, shampoo. Was away from the street and there was no road noise. Slept very well. Free hot breakfast was only three choices: cereal, eggs, bacon, tators & toast, or biscuits and gravy. Had a bar in lobby, with a live band on weekends. Free breakfast coupons good for drinks in bar. Did not go there, myself.

Nothing. Was not allowed to have heat. We were informed at the desk, that we could not have heat in our room, the other customers wanted air conditioning, and they could not provide both.

Convenient location. Overpriced for quality. Hotel was run down. I felt that it was over-priced for quality of room.

After reading the reviews and seeing this is travel agency's top pick I decided to stay here. The room was not that great and it was in bad need of remodeling. They don't seem to take that good of care of the room because only a couple lights worked in our room. I would find somewhere else to stay in town. Fortunaltly I was only passing through to sleep or else I would have been really mad. Travel Agency needs to re-think giving this place a top rating.
