When I saw the room that I purchased, I decieded to upgrade to a room with a jacuzzi, thinking that room had to be better. I was wrong. The sheets had holes in them and was fitted to the bed with safety pins. The fold out bed was broke and (NOT JOKING) sagged in the middle REAL BAD. There was somthing on the carpet by the sink that looked like droppes of blood. The Jacuzzi did not work right. The TV remote did not have batteries. I put batteries in the remote, just to find out that the remote was broke. That was bad enough, but when we took a shower, the water went from cold to HOT and honestly I think my daughter got a first degree burn on her foot. We use to live in Roanoke and were there visiting family for a family reunion. I had stayed at Days Inn before and never NEVER had problems till this time. When I went to complain about the room, There was no one there. The next morning, all I wanted to do was get my stuff and get out of there. I could have stayed at a 4 or 5 star hotel for less. NEVER.... will I stay there again.

Nothing except the pillows. Everything. Started with a disgusting lousy falling apart lobby. Dirtiest room I ever been in. Coat hanger holding by one screw on the wall.

I was in the area for a college graduation, which led to most hotel rooms being booked. In a nutshell-DO NOT EVER THINK OF STAYING HERE. I almost thought I was on a movie set for a building that was on skid row. Issues: crumbling walkways, railings hanging off, holes in sheets and towels, leaks in toilet and showers-and the best part...spiders in the room. By the way, this is across three different rooms, so it wasn't an isolated incident. Bottom line, don't let the price fool you...IT"S NOT WORTH IT. Hopefully soon this place will be shut down soon. Move on to the next option...

The Days Inn Civic Center was a bargain but the room was in terrible shape. The air conditioner struggled to cool and the commode rocked when you sat on it. We had to ask for an iron and ironing board which was a desktop model about 2 feet long. On our second day, we returned to the room and had to call for towels. They took the used ones and left no replacements. Needless to say despite the bargain we will never stay again. You get what you pay for

That I only had to stay one night! I feared for my life. Hotel is not in a nice part of town. Poorly lit. Very noisy. Deteriorating structures.

We travelled 5 hours to get to Roanoke to find that when we attempted to check in (just after 5PM) that the first floor had not been cleaned. This was not told to us immediately the staff actually issues a dirty room. when we asked what was going on they said that there were a lot of people there the night before. we had a new room issued and when we went to it, it did not look clean either. the coffee pot was dirty the floor not cleaned, not enouph towels were in the room. the curtains needed repair. patch jobs in the ceiling in the bathroom left me to believe that the ownership did not care about anyone experience in this location. When discussing this issue with the service desk, the clerk started to act upset that we said something, like it was our fault that his hotel was absolutly unacceptable even under 2 star ratings. There was no attempt to do the right thing at this locaation, we called travelocity and got good service to be relocated to another hotel, this location was bad from the start. We were going to the civic center but it was worth staying in Salem vrs at this hotel. It turns out that the reservations cost less, with beter service and clean rooms after we left this hotel.

Once I arrived and went to the room, I canceled the reservation and found accommodations elsewhere. The room was shabby looking, towels looked used, unclean surroundings, bed covers looked cheap and uncomfortable.

This place refused to give me a receipt upon checkout! The carpet was threadbare, there were flying insects in the room, the towels tore when used, the TV had no sound whatsoever, and it's in a very unsafe area! The front of the place looked rundown and I should have turned around then, but it was late in the day and I was from out of state with nowhere else to go. Sleeping in your car is better than paying to stay here!

We were within walking distance to the Roanoke Civic Center, but if not for that we would not have stayed here. The room appeared clean but smelled bad, and the bathroom smelled worse. I did not even want my child to walk around the room without shoes on. Cable TV was fuzzy--will never stay here again.
