The Days Inn in Chester is inexpensive but dirty and shabby. Don't expect much in the way of cleanliness beyond fresh sheets and towels. Our non-smoking room had a faint odor of smoke, the place was dusty and worn and definitely had seen better days. The bathroom was small, dirty and without a fan. The beds were rickety and not well attached to the headboard so they rattled when you moved. However, the room was spacious and included a small desk, microwave and refridgerator in addition to the usual dressers and closet. The front desk attendees were helpful.

The big, comfortable beds and hot water. The lobby smelled funny.

We stayed at this hotel the night before we flew to Hawaii. We parked our car in their front lot for a daily fee while we were on vacation. The front desk hotel staff were polite and pleasant. There is nothing special about the hotel. The exercise room is in disrepair. Somebody broke their nordic trak bow flex machine. Bummer. The shuttle to and from the airport was efficient and we did not have to wait more than 30 minutes. Both drivers were polite and talked to the passengers in the front row seat. If you are looking for a four or five star hotel, then do not waste your time. If you are looking to save a few bucks, then this is the place to stay. We only slept in the room and showered the next morning. We looked at the pool and had no intentions of diving in. We did not use the restaurant.

I was visiting my husband before he left for Iraq, so we were looking for a quiet place to spend time together. This place was so dirty. There were roaches in the stairwells (the elevator wasn't working) and in the freezing cold indoor "heated" pool. The room was nasty, the entire 5th floor reeks of smoke and everything in the room was stained yellow. The window was about to fall off its track, the drawers were broken in the dresser, the lamps were falling off the walls. After our first night we had to practically BEG for a refund which they still made us pay for 2 nights although we only stayed one. Oh but not before the guy at the counter messed up and charged my debit card for the FULL amount AGAIN!! So then since it takes 7 to 10 days for a refund to go back into my account, I had no money left to spend on our tour of Philly. Also, there is nothing around this hotel, not even a gas station! It's in the projects and when my husband and I tried to go to a little bar across the street we were asked "for here or to go" when we ordered our drinks because we obviously weren't welcome there.

the Days Inn Chester was quite comfortable and they were very accomodating. The staff was helpful and concerned for our comfort. One issue was I saw a cockroach our second day there that freaked us our a bit. The room was very spacious and comfortable. There were a few rerstraunts near by. Mostly fast food. We were close to the highway and didn't have far to drive to get to the hotel. The elevators were right off the lobby so we didn't have to walk far from the door to reach them.

Location. Needs some updating. We went to see Barack Obama speak at Widener University. We only had a 10 minute walk to the event, from the hotel, so the location was great. The rooms were comfortable, there was a blanket with a burn hole in it and the mini refrigerator was very old but functioned fine.

We had to wait about 45 minutes for the shuttle driver to pick us up from the airport - at midnight! When we reached the hotel, it was very dirty and not maintainted. However, the staff was friendly and we had no trouble with the shuttle in the daytime. I would not stay here again.

The bathroom was not clean, tub had a ring, and they failed to remove the stain, the mattress was lumpy, and hotel had a funny smell.

The attached diner (not part of the hotel) has good food at a low price. Elevators need maintenance. Adequate for our purposes, which was mainly to find a place to sleep after a long car trip.

Don't waste your money, for * you can stay at a much better place. I had a 2-day lay-over in Philly in route to Charlotte, and decided to stay at a cheap place because I knew I would only need a room to sleep in, not a party-type hotel with all kinds of pampering. However, I DID expect BASIC services such as reception clerks to speak understandable English and take a shower before coming to work. Then, I get my room (6th floor), so I stand and wait for the elevator, and wait, and wait. After 10 minutes, one of the 2 working elevators arrived, so I happily entered along with my 2 heavy bags, which I obviously couldn't drag up 6 flights of stairs. I asked for a non-smoking room, but got a room that REEKED of cigarrette smoke and probably pot, too. Then, I take a shower and try to dry my hair, only to have the entire hair dryer unit fall out of the wall on my foot. Finally, I want to watch a little TV before bed...well, at first the TV and remote both worked, then after about 15 minutes, the remote didn't work anymore, then the TV just stopped working completely. Ok, so I just want to get some sleep, but the heating unit is loud and goes from hot to cold.....I just wnted morning to come. When it did, I jammed out of there......

I was shocked that there was no vanity area just the bathroom space. Bed was comfortable and the room atmosphere was soothing. I was disappointed that the pool was not open at the time posted but the front desk was very helpful in opening the pool eventhough it was an hour late. Also, the hotel provided free access to their computers with internet access for hotel guests.

None. Room was unclean. If you're picky about comfort and cleanliness, don't go to this hotel. The elevator was broken, the night staff was indifferent and had no sense of customer service. The carpet was stained and unclean, the room was smelly, the curtains were filthy and the bed linen was not on par with what should be hygienic. I'm glad I only spent a night there.

It was 14 degrees outside, and I had no heat or hot water for over 2 hours. They took 10 dollars off the inflated bill. The next morning when I showered before my international flight, I still had no hot water. When I complained again to the front desk, I was asked for my credit card so they could refund my entire stay. They never did! I received the bill only days later when I returned to the country!

I waited 2 hours at the airport for the shuttle to no avail. I called the hotel and the personell spoke so poor English that I couldn't understand them. I called my daughter to come pick me up and I doubled up in their room..... for the one night that I was there....

Convenient. Location. Friendly people. Convenient, because it was right off of a major highway.

We were disappointed in this hotel. The mattresses and foundations were stained giving a very dirty appearance. They were also very uncomfortable. There's a restaurant next to the hotel at which I found a large hair in my food. The shuttle service to the airport in the morning was the one redeeming feature for this hotel. We would not stay there again.

For being labeled Days Inn Hotel Chester Philadelphia Airport, it wasn't that close to the Philadelphia Airport. It was about a 20 minute drive with no traffic. Once entering the hotel, the staff was very friendly. Upon entering the elevator, it was apparent that upkeep of the hotel was not a high priority. Scratchings and writings in the elevator can be overlooked from time to time, but should still be addressed. Getting into the room, it appears fairly nice. But the reason most people stay in hotels is to get a good nights rest. The bed had an old spring mattress for which I cuold feel the springs when lying down. And the airconditioning was a thermostat on the wall, and one vent that had to be directed toward the bed, and even so barely hit side of the bed. Needless to say, I was fairly underwhelmed in this Days Inn. The room was hot, the bed was uncomfortable and the appearance of the hotel outside of the room was uneasing. Take it as you will, I would not recommend this hotel to others.

The room was spacious and had some nice amenities. The area was not particularly safe, it was in a run down part of Philadelphia. This hotel is fine for a traveler who just needs a place to flop, however it is priced two high for this. Parking is an issue, the first evening we had to park in a handicap spot and the second evening we had to wait until a spot opened up. The staff however was very friendly and helpful. The hotel did have a fairly good place to eat. I could not recommend this hotel to the casual or business traveler.

Pleasant and convenient. Parking problem and language barriers with staff. Our stay at the Chester Days Inn was very nice, it was near our exit and not difficult to find. The young man who checked us in was not very friendly, however, the rest of the staff were very nice. The surrounding area was not very appealing and I would not recommend venturing out on foot very far from the hotel.

" The hotel was really good for the price. There is a clean and inexpensive restaurant attached to the hotel. I traveled with my 3 children ages 12, 7, and 19 months, they all enjoyed themselves, the room was big enough for them to run in. The pool is very cold- there is no sunlight , since it is in the basement. Down side, the water would not go down fast enough in the tub. The bathroom did have a funny smell. The electrical equipment in the gym was not working. However, we enjoyed the points of interest in Philadelphia :) "
