It was good for just one night.

Location! Serious updating and maintenance required. The best thing about this motel is the location and the friendly staff. There was an additional $6 a day parking fee required at check in. We were anticipating less than plush accommodations, so we weren't too terribly shocked by the 70's decor, however this motel needs major repair. A few of the most serious issues were the mold on the bathroom ceiling and general cleanliness of the bathroom lead us to decide not to use the bath/shower during our stay. The toilet flush mechanism was broken. The temporary paper clip repair had to be reattached in the tank every 2nd to 3rd flush. The concrete hallways smelled and the location near a fire station was noisy at times. Beyond that we enjoyed the excellent power of the AC and it was very pleasant when all the lights were off.

I have never stayed in a place where there was a sign on the counter that stated no refunds after 15 minutes (I wish I would have taken a photo with my phone). I was put in a smoking room and after trying for two days, they would not allow me to change -- stating it was full even though the parking lot was relatively empty. The room had a horrible smell, bed sheets/blankets were stained (I slept in my clothing), the bathroom was filthy, there were wrappers on the floor by the bed (yup, a condom wrapper), the towel rack fell out of the wall when I took the towel off; the TV had a rainbow of colors on the picture; the overall experience was not satisfying. Overall, a wrecking ball would be in order for the complex. The online photos are OLD! I changed my ticket to leave a day early and went home; I couldn't face another day! I cannot believe Days Inn would allow this place to be a part of their franchise!

The hotel was very old and not clean. The wallpaper was stripping and the room wasn't well kept. The location is excellent. You can walk to a lot that Charlotte has to offer. We were only there passing through on our way to a further destination. We walked down the street about 1/10 of a mile to have a drink or two and felt relatively safe. The hotel attendant was helpful in giving us directions to several bars/nightclubs. The bed was ok... new linens would have been nice. Parking is 6.00 more and you can park directly in front of your room in most cases. It seems odd to have to pay extra to park in THEIR parking lot (the pool is in the same parking lot). Overall, the hotel is dirty and needs improvement but it is 1/2 the price of every other hotel in the uptown region of Charlotte. I would recommend this hotel if you are on a budget (or just don't like spending 150/night on a hotel) and need a place to stay 1 or 2 nights but nothing more. I would have hated staying here more than one more night. Happy Travels!

While the location was great and the staff was nice enough the rooms are little to be desired. They were run down and not very clean , but you do get what you pay for.

The fact that they actually put the 3 parties next to each other. The rooms were run down, bathrooms needed to be redone! Overall the hotel isn't all the bad for a one night stay, the neighborhood gives it a questionable status. Loud music at night due to the nightclub and the empty lot next to it. The fixtures in the room need to be upgraded/replaced.

Yes, the hotel is a bit run down, yes it could use a major renovation but for the price and location - you can't beat it! Walking distance to nightlife and restaurants and close to the light rail. If you are in town for a few days and just need a place to crash - this is great. If you are looking to relax in a nice, comfortable, luxurious room - this is not it. The staff was great - everyone was so nice!

Although I did not expect a five star hotel for the posted price, I would expect that a facility billing itself as ""City Center"" would spend a little money for upkeep and maintenience. The rooms were fairly clean, but showing their age and lack of upkeep. Parking is also extra, should be included in room prices.

Over all I would have to say it was a good experience! The check in and out was easy and no problem. The location was great!! It is just the room was run down and showed it's age. In addition needs a real good cleaning. The hotel needs up dating. But you can't beat the price and for one night you could push through it. So, no complaints here.

There was nothing to like about this hotel. The rooms were unclean, the door locks were broken. This hotel was the worst hotel. This hotel was in a very unsafe place, doors had play in them, the secondary lock had been broken 1 before, and the current lock was already loose. The room had an odor and I was not willing to stay at this hotel for my bachelor party. So we had to go else where.

Great location but horrible hotel. Very dingy and old. Our towel rack kept falling off the wall so was the toilet paper holder in the bathroom. There was hair in the bathtub. They give you an iron but no ironing board. Def need to update the bedding very itchy. Staff was very friendly and helpful though. I suggest you only stay here if it is your last resort.

Well, the room was not nice in decor & they ran out of extra towels the first night. Had to wait until next day for more towels. The noise level was awful due to being across street from the Fire Station. Also, personal things were disturbed by housekeeping while we were out. We WILL NOT be staying there again!

Days Inn Charlotte Center City, Charlotte, North Carolina was OK for staying 1 night for a concert. I was surprised at check-in to discover that we had to pay a $6 parking fee for the night. Overall the room was clean....the bathroom was a different story. The bathroom needed repair. Cracked ceiling and tiles. Did not appear very clean. Walking distance pretty much to anything in downtown Charlotte which was a huge plus.

Nothing. Unsafe, locks broken, badodor, play in door.

This hotel was dirty and run down. They wanted to charge me 15 to check in an hour earlier than the scheduled time. I wouldn't stay there again.

Great location and value. If you need a cheap place to stay in Downtown Charlotte, this should do just fine. The room we were in definitely could have used some TLC (wallpaper hanging, tub needs recaulked).
Date of Stay:

The beds were comfortable. There was mold and obvious previous leaks on the ceiling. This hotel meets the need as a place to crash, however, the neighborhood did not seem to be the safest area and the room smelled like mold and had some obvious mold and leaky ceilings.

I lodged at this hotel after getting an internet price. The hotel is situated in a great place downtown, but the room was very nasty and dirty and the room service was atrocious. The linens were smelly and the bathroom was unbearable. Lots of improvements are needed before I would ever consider lodging here again

This hotel was very nice and clean and convenient!! Me and my girlfriends went to Charlotte for the Aggie-Eagle Classic and the after party we attended was literlly next door!! Which was great, we were able to just walk over instead of having to drive!! And we were in our high heels, so obviously it was literally less than .25 miles away!! We really thought it was great!! The only suggestion I have for this hotel would be to upgrade their outside appearance. When we pulled up I thought it was going to be a roach motel but it wasn't!! But other than that it was all good!! So I would def recommend a friend to stay in this hotel!! Enjoy!!

The location for what I went for. Bathroom was in poor condtion. Location was great, staff was friendly and helpful, bathrooms needed a lot of work.
