Large room, good bed and good wi-fi. Bathroom was very small, mildew on shower walls, non-working stopper in sink, brownie crumbs under table. Overall, not a bad hotel. Everything from the building itself to the sheets on the bed seemed fairly new, so that's a plus. The staff were very nice. On the minus side, in my particular room, the bath/shower had been cleaned too quickly a few too many times and starting to mildew. And someone missed the brownie crumbs under the table.

The room did not appear to have been cleaned. We had no hot water to shower in the morning. The free continental breakfast was awful. I would have rather stayed anywhere but here!

Location was convenient. Chlorine in pool much too high. This was an adequate place to stay for a one night sleep over. The pool was clean, but the chlorine level was so high, that my children's eyes had to be repeatedly flushed with eye wash after swimming for only about 45 minutes and their faces were visibly red with chlorine burns. The room was clean and reasonably comfortable. Breakfast left a lot to be desired.

They got our reservations wrong. We reserved a non-smoking room and had the paper from Travel online to prove it. The girl at the front desk said she didn't care, it was sent to them as a smoking room and she had no others available. She was too busy with her own personal business to be bothered with us. We let and stayed at another hotel.

Conveniently located and excellent quality for price. The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms have lots of space and are very clean. We would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through the area.

Basically the management needs to go back to hotel management school. There is no attention to detail in this brand new motel. No breakfast room attendant; you have to ask at the front desk for supplies. No tea bags in the rooms or in the breakfast area as they had not been on the supply truck. Apparently the Super WalMart around the corner where I finally got my tea from is too far to drive. The window to the pool had a sign advertising a local event from two months previous. No information about the Carlsbad Caverns in the lobby attractions rack. Why else would you be staying in Carlsbad? The evening clerk could not give us directions to the motel even though we on the main street of Carlsbad less than a mile away, and the next evening when our son called she insisted there was no one registered by the name he spelled out for her. The sign out front says "free WiFi in every room" but not in room 222. No one from the day shift office staff knew how to get it working. The room carpet had a big black stain in front of the sink from the oil rig workers boots, and the overall carpet color looked blackened. The maximum pool capacity is 18. The breakfast fare is very child friendly, Fruit Loops and Frosted Flakes, jelly doughnuts, toaster waffles and syrup, white bread, butter and jelly. No yogurts, peanut butter or tea. High definition video camera is only in the lobby to thwart any robbery of the front desk. A large empty lot for truck parking with easy access and escape routes to a back road opens directly to the end of the motel walkways and the parking lot. No cameras out there.

This hotel has the most comfortable beds I have ever experienced. The room was clean and quiet. A microwave and refrigerator were included with the room. Staff was pleasant and efficient. I would definitely stay here again.

Hot tub. Was given smoking room. Not good business. Okay if you need a place to stay for one night.

A plus for us is this place is the closest in the area to Carlsbad Caverns. The caverns are actually 20 miles away from the town, so coming from that direction, it was nice to see the sign we could settle in after a long drive. On the flip side, be aware most mid-range eateries are at the other end of town.

The staff was great and the pool was nice. The breakfast was a little blah, but it was free. If I were traveling back to Carlsbad, I would use this hotel again. It was clean and the staff was very friendly.

The directions to the hotel were totally wrong!!! They should really think about revising that. We checked in and were given a room. I needed one that was handicap accessible and ended up with one that was on the second floor with no elevator - it was hard for my father to manage the stairs. I reserved one that was non-smoking and got a smoking room. Both my father and I had issues with that but the manager claimed I didn't reserve a non-smoking room eventhough my confirmation showed it. When we first went to our room the door was not shut and it was hard to close and with an outside entrance we were really concerned about that. The beds were not the most comfortable and the bathroom barely gave room to sit on the toilet or get out of the shower. When I complained to the manager he stated they were the best in Carlsbad ---I highly doubt that! I would not recommend a Days Inn to anyone not even my worst enemy. The stay totally gave a bad vibe to the trip.

The pool was indoors & heated with a hot tub. The continental breakfast was not one of the best I've had. The room was clean w/ a mini-fridge & a microwave. It also had a coffee maker. The pool/ hot tub was pretty nice since it is indoors & heated. Convenient location for Carlsbad Caverns visitors. Be sure to bring a hairdryer; the built-in one in the bathroom is a joke!

The woman who checked us in at the front desk wasn't as nice as she could have been, but the rest of the staff was quite pleasant. The cleaning women were very nice and did a good job with our room over our 2 day stay. The room was large and comfortable, and the bed was nice and soft with clean sheets. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate. Several different kinds of cereal were offered in addition to biscuits and gravy, toast, apples, muffins, and frozen waffles. Coffee, juice, milk, and water were also available. The hotel is located at the southern edge of town, and is very convenient to Carlsbad Caverns. Its in a safe area, and we felt right at home there. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Clean environment, indoor clean saline pool, nice hot tub!

Over all, this was a convenient hotel though there was a slight problem checking in. The thing that bugged me was that the little bottles of shampoo and lotion had obviously been refilled instead of replaced. I'm all in favor of saving money and keeping plastic out of the landfills, but it makes you wonder of they were skimping on things I couldn't see. That being said, I will say the sheets and towels were clean and fresh and the bed mostly comfortable.

Very friendly staff. My three children and I stayed two nights. We got lots of rest at night and the free breakfast was the best I've ever had. The kids had a blast in the pool. The rooms were very clean.
