My stay at this hotel was very nice and quiet. You have a gold mine in the train car that is attached to the hotel. If someone would open that up full time and run it as a restaurant/bar, you could be making money hand over fist.

The bed was so comfortable. I have no problems. I am not one to stay at a place like this, I am more use to a Motel with just about everything you would need. I was very pleased with my stay and would stay there again.

I have never ""walked out"" on a hotel before. Our initial room had not been cleaned /smelled of smoke (non-smoking room). A tricycle?!!?!? was sitting outside my room. I waited in the lobby 10 minutes listening to the associate and manager argue over a paycheck before helping me. They gave me another room. It had an ashtray in it, NO shower curtain, and water in the tub was streaming out. I left the and asked for a refund. They didn't care about our dissatisfaction. I have also never given a publicly accessible negative review. I have never been more dissatisfied,

Convenient located near Virginia Tech campus, and willingly took pets. Decor is vintage 1973 Holiday Inn. Convenient, clean, near Virgina Tech Campus in Blacksburg. Near shopping and restaurants. Staff is friendly; free breakfast buffet. Pet-friendly (no size restriction on dogs), which helped us with our 110 lb. (well-behaved) dog. A very good value for the price, and the pet friendly aspect is much appreciated!

The staff was very helpful when I brought to their attention a broken fixture. It was repaired immediately. Very nice room, comfortable and nice, soft towels!!! Will definately stay there again.

I was very pleased with Days Inn Blacksburg. Price was decent and the rooms had been nicely renovated. The breakfast bar was good as well. There was a sports team staying during our time so it was a challenge to keep it stocked but the staff did a great job. It actually had some hot items which many places don't have. The only draw backs we had was that we were unable to leave the room when the cleaning crew came through so when we arrived back late at night our room looked just as we left it and we had to call for clean towels. Also, the entrance to the hotel/parking lot was a little wierd, had to make sure we didn't miss it. The guy at the front desk was great; friendly, helpful, just what you would hope for at check-in. We were able to go between our room and our friends room next to us. A nice feature for families.

Felt at home. A little to quiet. Staff was exceptional at resolving problems. Renovation set up blocked our view.

Excellent /friendly staff. Very nice breakfast / clean and nice decor in reception and dining area. Dirty bathroom/poorly maintained facilities/ rug needed vacuuming. Mentioned condition of room to staff but told them it was liveable. Was informed Ramada was being changed into a Days Inn and the rooms would be the last to be remolded. Over all we were happy staying there for the night. Great staff.

We only had to stay one night. It was not clean. The paint and wallpaper were peeling. The Ramada in Blacksburg gives a nice first impression, but then hits you with the sobering reality. The lobby is attractive. The people are pleasant. But then you have to go your room. The "non smoking" room smells like a chimney. There's dirt in the shower. The former occupant's soap is still sitting in the shower. The room decorations have not been upgraded since the 70's, and they haven't aged well. The walls are paper thin. As the neighbors are leaving their rooms and going to their cars, you get to learn more about them than you ever wanted to. This was a very poor experience. I'm glad we only had to stay one night.

Near my destination. Questionable security. While I was away someone broke into my room to use the phone. I was charged for a phone call I did not make. Noise from AC was too loud to sleep. There is a no chance that I or my associates will stay in this hotel ever again.

Good location, easy access to 460/81 and to downtown Blacksburg & VT campus. Dirty; outdated; trash and old furniture scattered around the grounds. Not what I expected; rooms were dark and dank; steam shower (great if fall or winter) but dirty (not so great); bring Lysol; staff very nice; need to fix the ice machine before VT football season; ran out of variety of food for continental breakfast (didn't seem to restock); adequate if you are into no frills and don't mind rooms decor stuck in early '70s.

It had a very nice continental breakfast. The smoking room. We had asked for a smoking room, but it smelled so bad that I could not sleep. The headboard was coated with nicotine and the room in general was very dirty and very out of date. We changed to a non-smoking room the next day and it was a very nice clean up to date room and I had no complaints about that. My husband and I found the bathtub to be very tiny with no room to move around.

Jacuzzi tub/steam shower. Jacuzzi tug /steam shower didn't work. This is the fourth time I have stayed here, and the first pleasurable, it is much cleaner than 3 months ago, make sure you ask for one of the renovated rooms. They still do not have maid service.

Very economical, service was good, delivered everything it advertised. There were no down sides, this was a $65.00 per night motel and delivered above those expectations. This is a hotel with a very economical rate, for business travel it is a very good choice, rooms were clean, baths were equipped with whirlpool & steam units, high speed wireless Internet, had a work out facility, continental breakfast, and a very friendly staff.

The shower curtain was nice. This hotel was dirty and unwelcoming. This hotel room was not welcoming or comfortable. The bed sheets looked like it came from someone's house and was not "hotel appropriate."

Lobby was newly renovated and nice. The room was the pits! I would not recommend this hotel. The room linens were dirty and the beds were very uncomfortable. The room was in dire need of new beds, carpet, paint, etc. I was unable to sleep thinking of the bugs that were surely crawling around!
