Luckily we were only at the hotel to sleep. The decor was uninteresting. The pool was "nasty" to quote a note that was left by the staff at the front desk. Things started off on the wrong note when there was no micro/fridge combo as stated on the Orbitz description of the room. I asked for the problem to be rectified and the front desk staff actually suggested that we use one of the hotel's refrigerators in what I would assume is a common area. This, of course, was unacceptable and the only other solution was to put us in a suite for an extra charge which I finally agreed to pay even though I felt they should have just given us the suite (especially considering the hotel was virtually empty). The suite was passable as far as cleanliness goes. It had a full kitchen, living room, bathroom, and one bedroom with a king size bed. There were a bunch of little things like a broken lamp, a towel rack that fell off the wall when a towel was pulled off it, and weird blemishes in the carpet that made the whole thing feel uninviting. I can not recommend this hotel and will not return.

The room was updated. The staff was not very friendly and that is unusual for the Albuquerque area. The breakfast was well done and we had to ask for coffee to be made. The hotel seemed understaffed.

Checked Days Inn for $** and HI Express for $**. Decided to save money. Hotel was OK, breakfast not. It ends at 9:00 on Sundays. We got there a few minutes before nine and there was not much left. Juice machine was dispensing the syrup only. Very dirty tables with nobody trying to clean up. Had much better experience in HI express next door.

There was nothing fancy at this hotel. New carpet was being installed, and things were generally pretty clean. The bathroom had no mirror, which was highly annoying, but there was a mirror in the room.

Friendly people. The pool was nasty both times I stayed. People were nice, rooms were o.k. but pool was not clean. We were not able to play in pool due to that. Otherwise everything was o.k.

I'm not a fancy guy and I'm not picky about my hotels as long as they are reasonably priced and reasonably clean...so for me to take time to write a review to warn fellow travellers takes a really bad experience. First off, when I got to the hotel, the lobby doors were locked and no one was around for about forty minutes. There were two guys smoking and listening to music outside in a car...eventually one of them came around and unlocked the door and told me that he was the desk clerk, but that he had been away, "talking with his manager next door". Right. The lobby was "under construction". This meant that the floor was dirt and concrete and a few random, uncemented tiles to trip over. There was a sofa present, complete with some snoring unconcious guy who smelled of booze. The manager took no notice of him. The whole place reeked of paint and construction chemicals so badly that it would have been a huffer's delight. I had specifically booked this hotel because it promised a no-smoking room. I was told that my room "was a smoking room beofore now, but it just got painted, so you won't smell any smoke". It was so bad that even though I couldn;t get any money back from travelocity, I opted to pay double and find another hotel. Now, like I said, I'm a frugal guy who is usually happy with your average 50-60 dollar per night hotel...so it was really, really that bad. I ended up in a little no-brand-name hotel on Central Ave. in Albuquerque and that was better! Those of you familiar with Central Ave. In Alb. know this is not a luxury strip, by any means...so that'll give you an idea of what was preferable.
