The hotel staff was very friendly and the room was super clean. The hotel sign was down, due to construction I think, and we had a hard time finding the hotel. Our room was very clean and it was a nice place to stay with a comfortable bed.

The employees are VERY nice, but the room was upcharged * for the marathon and NOT worth it. It was dirty and in ill-repair. I felt very cheated.

The room was decent and everything worked as it should. It was difficult to find! I drove by it three times before I finally located it. Better signage would help. Given the awful comments some previous people made, my expectations were quite low. I was pleasantly surprised in most respects. For what little I interacted with them, the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was basic but clean. Continental breakfast was good, pretty standard as these things go. The place was quiet and restful for me.

Hotel is in rather poor condition. In pool room, there appeared to be neglected construction. Hot tub was large but overflowed when jets were turned on. Cosmetic improvements should be made to rooms and hallways. Continental breakfast is OK. Low price but low for a reason.

Nothing. Staff, very dirty, overpriced, no internet, smelly. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in.

Nice entrance. Very friendly service. Good location for Superior or Duluth. Pool/hot tub/sauna/few video games. Attached bar and Embers restaurant. Nice clean room with big mirror. No fridge or microwave in room, if you need that. Biggest complaint is the bed were not bad but uncomfortable. The kind of bed where you can feel all of the springs.Overall, certainly a good choice for the price.

I liked leaving. Everything. They sent us to a room with no beds. The whirlpool was 98 degrees so, not hot enough to kill bacteria. The whole hotel was under construction so there were beds in the halls and construction tools everywhere. I will never go there again.

couldn't believe the room when we walked in. the plaster was falling off the ceiling and small holes in the walls. they charge way too much for what we received. my kids sad faces said it all.

Absolutely nothing to like! Everything! This building should be condemned. This place is a dump. I even passed it 3 times and had to call for their directions because there is no sign age.

Good restaurant. Place was a dump. Old, dinghy, mold smell. This hotel was a dump. The facility has not seen any maintenance or updating since it was built (probably circa 1970). We stayed here because the hotel allows pets. At check-out was charged $20 for pet fee. We stayed at the Radisson in Duluth before and found it to be a decent place. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. The hotel should be razed as an act of urban renewal.

The price was great! It was noisy. Thin walls, could hear much noise. I would recommend this motel and plan to stay there in the future when I am in the area.

Price was reasonable. Mold around the tub surround- unfinished insulation. I would stay at this hotel if there was no other rooms available, the lobby was very beautiful, however it didn't carry through to the rooms. It seemed that the rooms were older and it was deceptive when you walked into the lobby and then walked to your rooms. We were in the back of the hotel and there were no working outside lights, so it was very dark, I would not have wanted to be alone and walking into the hotel.

Nothing. It was awful. They placed me in 3 different rooms and they all smelled like wet dog. This place is very run down and very unsafe. I would not recommend it to anyone. We could not stay there and left and drove back home 300 miles.
Date of Stay:

Hotel has a restaurant attached, nice view of the lake, big hot tub in the pool area. Room needed improvement wallpaper coming off the wall, doors could use a little paint.

The free pancakes in the morning and the location on our way to Bayfield, WI. The sign pointed us to the motel, but we drove by as the hotel entrance gets lost next to the Embers restaurant. We appreciated the value. We had planned to stay in Duluth on our way to Bayfield WI, but chose this hotel due to price and ease of finding an available spot during prime tourist season using the Internet.

Was a place to stay. Poor quality hotel. I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel.
