I was denied a room here because I am a local. I guess they only make exceptions when there are power outages, per the review dated January 2007. I am a 35 year old woman, and in my turtleneck I appeared to be riffraff to Jan the front desk clerk. Yes, it was Halloween night but I was trying to escape the chaos that was the downtown pub crawl, since I live in a loft downtown. I didn't make an online reservation but was planning on paying with my credit card. She informed me that few, if any, hotels in Springfield allow locals to stay at their hotels. She said the Quality Inn MIGHT allow me to stay. Not believing this to be a valid policy since there is nothing posted on their website, I went to the Best Western where they gave me a room and had never heard of a hotel not allowing locals to stay.

Our daughter is a student at Missouri State. We discovered this hotel last fall and now can't imagine staying any place else when we go to visit her. [...] and his staff go out of their way to be helpful. [...], who works the desk, has gone above and beyond the call of duty. We appreciate the care they show each of their guests. [...] makes your breakfast waffles in their breakfast room and there are plenty of good restaurants for lunch and dinner close by. The pool was clean but very small, although the size of the pool is not a priority for us. Clean rooms, non-smoking facility and a quiet location - you can't go wrong!

Staff was friendly, everything was very clean. Nothing. Great motel, staff was friendly, rooms were comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was great, even had made to order waffles in three different flavors! Was very happy with my stay!

The host and hostess at the courtesy desk were very hospitable and friendly. After receiving my requested morning wake up call, I was asked if I would like a newspaper and a cup of coffee; the hostess from the front desk came to the door with a USA Today and a couple cups of coffee. The bed and room were comfortable and quiet, and it was most certainly a refreshing night and good start to the day. I apologize I cannot remember the name of the young man and woman at the front desk, but witnessed their attention to the folks at the continental breakfast and at the front desk.

My wife and I had a great stay at this Days Inn. The owners greeted us every morning at breakfast and really made this vacation one to remember. The room was very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this Days Inn to anyone travling to Springfield or Branson.

My niece stayed here and she was very pleased with the hotel and the services provided by the staff. They were very welcoming to two students who were attending freshmen orientation at Missouri State. We will return to this hotel the next time we stay in Springfield.

Got a lecture from front desk person about not smoking in the room (I have never smoked in my life)with a $150 penalty if you did. Got to room and it reeked of cigarette smoke. Was not the best way to start the stay

The rooms are very nice. They were clean and all the furniture and appliances were up to date. The room included a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and hair dryer. The staff was very nice and friendly. They have a nice little breakfast were the owner cooks waffles for the guest. The owner is very nice and friendly making you feel at home and welcome. I would definitally stay here again and suggest you stay here also.

Our room was clean and ready for us upon arrival. VERY FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL staff! Excellent bed, television, bath, and room furnishings - newly remodeled. Continental breakfast was delicious. I can see why it was rated as Springfield's #1 hotel!

Best rate I could find in with a 3 start rating. Breakfast buffet was awful. English muffins had mold on them. I would stay here if the Days Inn next door was filled. The only difference between the two was this had bigger beds and a bigger room and something to eat.

I read all the reviews for hotels in springfield at this price range. Now that I've been at this hotel, I am certain this is the best of the bunch. It's relatively new. It's clean. The high-speed internet works. There's a microwave, a fridge, a reclining chair, a hairdryer. You have a car, I assume, so you can get to anywhere in town in 15 minutes. I've stayed in places like some of the others described in this price range -- gross! This one exceeded expectations. (Female traveler).

My family's first trip to Springfield,and what a great experience. The hotel was in exelent shape,with a careing staff and owners that truly go out of their way to make you feel at home.I would recomend this establishment to anyone traveling through Springfield.

"I'm a local and stayed here during a 7 day power outage. The new owners are doing a great job-they went out of their way to help everyone feel at home. My room was very clean and the bathroom was spotless. The housekeeping staff was helpful and friendly. Close parking and this is a safe area. The hotel was full and still fairly quiet. I just had coffee in the morning but they had a nice assortment of light breakfast items. A great place and a good value when visiting Springfield, MO. "
