I went to Kings Dominion and I stayed at the Days Inn and it smelled bad, the pool had a lock on it, we called the front desk and the lady said she was going to call the room back when she found out details on why the pool had a lock on it, she never called back. When we went to the office it was a different lady and when she finally got someone to open the pool, it was like a hour before it closed.

Location. Ceiling falling down, something splattered all over walls/beds. The balcony was leaning so much, we thought that it was going to fall down. The ceiling in the room and bathroom was falling down. There were strange splatters on walls and beds. The sink would not turn off. The staff was ok, but the conditions of the hotel was horrible! Would not stay there again.

"Where do I start? It was dirty, needing repair, dangerous felt like we were being bitten in the bed. Doors did not lock correctly, shower curtin rod was falling down, there was a large dip in the landing at the top of the steps above the office. It cought my heel & almost went down the steps. I would not stay there again if it were free."

The Days Inn at Ashland was not very clean, needed renovations outside and inside. The first room we were assigned had a molded shower curtain and hadn ot been cleaned very good at all...plus second floor has the king size beds only and NO ELEVATOR!! We were given a second room with no problem but still it had that closed room smell and just appears had not been cleaned properly but better than the first room we were assigned. It is nicely located to the college, restaurants, Walmart, etc, just not a very well kept, clean hotel.

Desk clerk was extremely helpful. Outside dirty, odor towels were very rough, carpet was ragged. Difficult to get to from highway, old, dirty walkways, filthy, dirty with odor, would never recommend.

When we arrived we had rented 2 rooms and we had to wait until 4:30 to get one of our rooms. There were bugs in our rooms and the curtain had been torn off the window in one room. There were hookers working the parking lot and not enough towels and wash clothes..Horrible experience

My family and I arrived at the hotel at around 10pm on 7/5/07. There was no fridge, no microwave. We had kids as young as 5yrs old and we asked the lady if she could help find a fridge to refridgerate some of our foods and she said no. We eventually left after arguing back and forth, this was going to around 10.30pm and we came from Maryland. We were so much frustrated by the way we were treated that we almost went back to Maryland. But we started driving around looking for another hotel and we eventually found one.

Nothing. It looked like a 20/20 or dateline hotel room dead bugs, etc. and something on the mattresses and box springs. This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had staying at a hotel. When we spoke to the front desk about the lack of cleanliness with the room, no smoke detector, etc.

The room smell was filled with nasty cigarettes smell. The bathroom did not have enough lighting and the shower have cracked wall. We still decided to stay beacuse we were afraid that there will not have any vacancy anywhere else and mu kids were tired.

It was close to the Park we were visiting. The hotel maintenance was horrible. My family and I rented 3 rooms this weekend at your Ashland location. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. When we arrived all three rooms where muggy and moldy smelling. We turn on our ACs and left for dinner right away cause we couldn't stand the heat of the room. After being gone for a couple of hours we returned to find our room still hot and discovered the filter on the AC unit was covered in dirt and dust and not working. My uncle discovered bugs in his bed and bathroom and my parents had a stopped up toilet. When they asked for maintenance they were told they did not arrive till 9am and when they asked for a plunger they were told the hotel didn't have one. Neither did the dignify have an iron or ironing board. When one thinks of a Days Inn you expect something with a little more class and care then the spot I stayed this weekend.

We were very dissapointed with the rundown appearance of the motel. It is located off the road behind a restaurant (and their dumpster). This motel is in despate need of updating. We were not comfortable with staying there and decided to seek accomadations elsewhere. There are quite a few hotels in the area so this was not a problem.

It was convenient. Staff was not helpful. Not family friendly, loud, shower was nasty, sheets were dirty, bad location. Overall, would never recommend this to anyone.

The Days Inn Ashland was extremely run down. Maintenance on the facility was very poor. The light over the sink was out, making it very difficult to shave or get ready for the day. The bathroom door would not latch or lock. The location was off the main road and my family felt very uncomfortable unloading our van in the dimly lit parking lot. My wife who stayed at home, tried calling the motel to see if we had made it safely. Noone answered the phone between 7:30pm and 8:30pm. Continental breakfast consisted of cereal, bagels, and muffins. On the positive side, the motel was located close to Kings Dominion and lots of good places to eat. In conclusion, I would not recommend the Days Inn Ashland.

Exactly what I expected for the money. Was good until 12:30 a.m. Other guests let children run up and down the isles. Great location in Ashland, easy access to everything. They need to do something about the location and smell of the dumpster location, terrible smell walking in and out of the lobby. Nice breakfast area, well kept.

While the hotel is in a good location, the noise level of the area is very loud. The hotel itself needs a lot of updating. The lights in the room were unplugged, the remote for the TV was not in the room when we checked in, when we got a remote, the batteries were dead. They only have a continental breakfast at this location which was very little. We ended up going out for breakfast.

The Price, Close to Kings Dominion, Clean Rooms. The Pool was a little small and only 4 ft deep. Ashland area was enjoyable. Dropped the Teenagers off at the amusement park, (Only about 10 miles away from hotel) Went back to Ashland, over to Rt 1 where there was lots of shopping and places to eat. The staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean. The price was great! Enjoyed our stay.
