Perfect location for the triathlonI participated in. There were a few rowdies pulling in late at night. This was probably one of the better days inn due to location, pools, and condition. The continental breakfast was good. Jekyll Island is a nice barrier island, much of the island is undeveloped purposefully to retain a natural aspect. The beach is great, although the ocean is too murky for my tastes.

I stayed here for one night for a quick trip with my 2 kids. The room was a standard outside-access motel room, but very clean and presentable and everything worked! There was a mini-fridge (also microwave), which was handy. The best part was the setting and the pool. There are actually two pools, although one was closed for repair, and it was comfortably heated. Also, the hot tub was great. There is very easy beach access--just across a short boardwalk--and the whole trip was lovely and relaxing. Breakfast was standard hotel fare, but watch the expiration dates on the milk - some were past date. (And it was not just a fluke, because we got sour milk also on a previous stay.) However, the breakfast room is on the second floor of a round tower, with beautiful views of the ocean. It's a nice way to start the day. Front desk staff were pleasant and accommodating. I recommend the pedal-car vendor (we used a six-seater for the 3 of us) located on the grounds; for $30 we got 2 hours, enough to meander around the island to our hearts' content. Pleasant stay - we will be back!

I stayed at this hotel with my wife and child. We had a great time. The beach is terrific. There are many sand dollars on the beach, both alive and dead, as well as conches, both alive and dead and we enjoyed combing the beach for shells. The beach is wide and there is plenty of space at both high and low tide. The waves were nice for body surfing and not so high as to frighten my kid. Because of the shells both my kid and I got small cuts on our feet while swimming, so you may want to bring your water shoes for swimming in the ocean. The room was nice. The staff was very polite. Our ocean-view room was on the first floor, so because of the height of the dunes, we didn't really have a view of the ocean. The first floor ocean view rooms should be considered dune-view, but we didn't care. The free breakfast was nice and allowed us to hit the beach right away everyday.

Great location and the breakfast was very good. The air conditioner did not work well enough. I would stay at this hotel. It was not fancy but was clean. I felt safe there traveling as a single mother. The staff was nice. However the air conditioner was very annoying it would shut off and did not keep the room cool enough for my standards.

Nice clean hotel, nice breakfast, really nice beach!! Love Jekyll Island!!! Hotel staff overly anxious to clean room, we went to breakfast and came back to our room on our day of check out before we actually checked out, and the housekeeping staff had threw away our cooler and food for our road trip back home.

Very impressed when we pulled up , you never know what to expect, This hotel was originally built in the 60s ,so it was modern for its time , rooms a little unusual, sink outside BR, big windows ,we were on back side 2nd floor, very quiet,, , the surprise is the breakfast room ,on 2nd floor with beautiful view of ocean sunrise!!, the choices are great, 6am-10, bagels, waffles, fruit, cereal ,yogart, toast, oatmeal juice , milk, coffee and muffins, very clean, walk 2 min to uncrowded beach, bike rentals on property but 3 min down st. cheaper , ,we only paid 79./night last wk of April, h20 a little cool but weather was in 70 's , historic district very nice, we walked around but you can take a tram , very nice island!!

Convenience, proximity to beach, quiet, peaceful, and good continental breakfast. Small beds, bathroom design, sink area and lighting.

My husband and I stayed this past week from Monday afternoon (August 25th) and checked out Thursday (August 28th). I haven't been to Jekyll Island in about 34 years since my parents took me when I was a child but we wanted a short vacation on the beach so we decided to go there. We were so glad we chose this hotel. Its at the end of the strip so the beach was even more secluded than they already are so you could walk for miles it seemed like to find shells or to enjoy the beauty. We decided on a regular room facing the ocean and it was on the second floor. I highly recommend getting a room on the second floor if you want to sit outside your room and be able to see the ocean. The rooms it seemed to me were smaller than other hotels I have stayed at, but for what little time we were in the room it was great! The bathroom sink is right outside the bathroom and there is no vanity to lay your bath items on, but if all you want to do is to shower and sleep and change clothes, this room is perfect! We were never in the room - we were out on the beach or pool or sight seeing on the island. The staff is excellent! Very friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to help you with anything if you ask. I saw the staff clean the pool and wipe down all the chairs every day. The rooms very clean. We had more than enough towels. The room comes with a microwave, refrigerator, and ironing board which was nice. The only thing the room didn't have was a small table. Will Stay Again!

An old friend and I met up again last year after not seeing each other for over 20 yrs, She lives in S.C. I live in Fl, so we decided that Jekyll Island would be a good "half way" point.Last year we stayed at the Clarion and thought it was pretty nice, this year after reading reviews I decided that we better find a new place. I read the reviews for Days Inn Jekyll Island and decided we would try it. I am so thankful that we did, It was probably the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was very nice and very clean along with the pool and the grounds . Checking in and out went very well, I arrived first and happened to be about 45 minutes early, so I was given a room that was already cleaned. We asked for a late check out and they gave us an extra hour. We were very satisfied with this hotel, we will see you guys in a year!!! Thanks and God Bless!!!!

Bathroom was disgusting. There was mildew in the tub. Patches on the wall. Gross. The beds were ok. The bathroom was absoutely disgusting. There was mildew in the tub. The bathroom wall had patches that had not been properly repaired. I will not stay at a Days Inn again. The complimentary breakfast helped. Once we were on the island we didn't want to leave. Walking distance to the ocean helped.

Looks good on the outside but the rooms are not what is pictured on the website. Had booked a room for 5 but there was NO room to even put a roll away bed. Description stated the room can hold 5 guest but that was not the case. I spent * a night/ocenview on this room and found out later that I could have gotten better accommidations . Breakgfast is of poor quality as well. Bagel toaster was a fire hazard and french toast was still frozen. Just remember the pictures of this hotel can be misleading.

This hotel needs updating. The sink is in the room, not the bath, with absolutely no counterspace. We were put in a handicap room (we are not handicapped). I assume because it was the only king bed available. No closet, just low hanging bars. The breakfast bar was very good. Location to the beach good. Two nice swimming pools. Location is good but rooms are lacking in quality.

Clean, friendly what I always expect but seldom get. Clean friendly staff. Breakfast was very good. The best stay I've has on Jekyll Island in the past 10 years of Ga Fla golf and Football week.

I was very happy with this motel, especially since my original criteria for selecting this motel was "What is the least expensive motel on Jekyll Island?" Besides being on the beach, it was also right next to bike and pedal car rentals. (You can travel the entire island by bike.) There was a free breakfast with a waffle iron. (Tip: Ignore the warning to just use one cup of batter.) The best part was two swimming pools that contained a variety of pool toys such as fun noodles and a floating basketball net. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful clean beach. No bar. We had a great time on Jekyll Island. The hotel is close to every thing on the island. The island itself is unspoiled by commercialism. The island has an interesting history.

Great beach access, easy to find. Going downhill, roaches, hard bed, inedible food, horrible conventions. Used to be okay, but going downhill fast. Breakfast is horrible, they now have roaches, beds are hard and the staff is not helpful or friendly. Maids are very persistent.

Close access to the beach. Very old and outdated. The Days Inn on Jekyll Island is the best, among all the old out-dated hotels this island has to offer. We go there for the uncrowded, beautiful beaches. The beaches are the best!

Good air conditioner. Took breakfast away at 10 am. The people at the hotel seemed frustrated because of the weather conditions. There was no cable and power would surge at times. Every time we called the front, the staff seemed annoyed and was short in their answers. We will go back to Jekyll Island but will not stay at this hotel next time.

We didn't have to worry where to go for breakfast with the kids. They had free breakfast. The mattress gave me back pain in just two nights. They need to replace them with new firm ones. It's close to the beach with free breakfast and pools.

"We really enjoyed how close we were to the beach and my kids loved the two very large pools. The beds were really hard, but overall it wasn't a bad place to stay."
