The hotel lobby smelled like cigarette smoke every time I went into it. Gave the whole hotel a terrible impression.

Location, very close to the beach. Decor needs updated but very comfortable rooms. Less than a block to the beach, making this a perfect choice for travelers on a budget. The rooms were very comfortable and staff was friendly.

The pool. Had to resolve a billing problem. This hotel charged my visa card a higher rate in addition to the charge I paid to Priceline.

Within walking distance to beach and restaurant, hot tub and swimming pool. I plan using this hotel again, it's layout was great, the swimming pool was cold and the weather was hot.

It was great. Loved how close it was to the beach and other sites. We had a really good stay at this hotel. The overall apperance was good, staff was friendly. Will stay there again.

The staff knew the area and were able to help us decide on points of interest. Our room did not cleaned the second day until almost 5PM. We were given towels only. I suspect the hotel's maid service is way under-staffed. It was nice, close to several points of interest. The staff was nice and informative. Although we did not use the pool is it looked inviting? The bar was large and accommodating.

The people were nice. Our toilet would not flush, then the man came and fixed it and it would make hissing noises every two minutes, I put my soap on the soap dish it broke. I am not sure yet if I will be charged for the soap dish, but I will be angry if I do, because it was half caulked in, and you could tell it had fallen off before. I simply layer my soap on the dish and it and three tiles fell off on my foot.

Convenient to beach! The attached Shoney's needs work. Pleasant and convenient to the beach. Within walking distance with kids.

They had a bar attached to the hotel. There were what appeared to be roaches. The hotel was very old and dirty. There were bugs in the rooms that appeared to be roaches.
Date of Stay:

Everyone was friendly and room was very comfortable. Someone else's underware under the bed. it was fine for the money and was near everything.
Date of Stay:

Staff is great! Convenient location. Overall shabby appearance, inside and outside, erratic room key function, worthless WI-FI, dirty linens. The staff made the stay enjoyable.

Great location. The hotel and grounds were well maintained. The sports bar was extremely smoky. An excellent motel for the price. It has a great location, 1/2 block from the beach. Although it's not new and modern, the rooms, the grounds and the overall property were very clean and well maintained. We arrived several hours before the "official" check-in time but got a room immediately. Overall it was a very nice place to stay.

Had kitchenette with oven, microwave and refrigerator. Saw several roaches despite room being very clean. It was very nice layout and great location but room was in need of small repairs and had roaches.

Great location and very clean and roomy for a motel. Economically competitive. Good accommodations. Ice machine ran out due to ball teams filling coolers. No OJ one day for breakfast. In Florida? This was a very good motel for the price and in a great location walking distance from the beach. It was nice and clean and the staff was friendly. We would stay there again and recommend it to friends.

Clean, close to the beach. Too many loud children running around. Clean, nice, and just noisy.
Date of Stay:

Easy access to the beach and restaurants. Breakfast was meager. It was what it was advertised to be and we happy with that.

Close to the beach. More expensive than necessary. Overall we were satisfied with the hotel, mainly due to the proximity to the beach. The room itself was in need of updates. Upon check in we had to have non-functioning toilet fixed. There was a 1 1/2 inch gap in the bottom of the doorway. Not the cleanest appearing room I have ever stayed in. Couldn't get extra towels without practically begging, and then had to retrieve them ourselves.

Location was very good- restaurant on-site. Rooms were not clean at all. Hair, trash, bugs. If you're willing to tiptoe around the dirty parts and need a cheap place to stay on Amelia island, this is amongst the cheapest. However, if I want a random assortment of bugs and dirt, next time I¿ll stay at the campground on the north side of the island.

Potentially good amenities (if maintained) and location. Very poor maintenance. The hotel is clean and the rooms are fairly standard. The biggest problem is with the physical upkeep. The spa and guest laundry facilities were out-of-order. The tennis courts are badly in need of resurfacing. The toilet in our room backed up and had extensive marks in the bowl indicating that it had been snaked more than once. We left to go to another hotel after 1 day. I would not recommend this hotel under its current conditions.

Courteous desk staff. Liked everything. Courteous staff and clean.
