The staff was Rude and the shuttle bus was a nasty pit

The room was clean. The receptionist was polite. I had to walk from the far distant 2nd floor to the employee's break room to use their microwave two times per day. Another visitor blew-up the micro. The hotel was close to the interstate. It is old, and the guest has to enter the room from the outside. There was no microwave in our room. We had to take our meals to the employee microwave, located in the back rooms off the hotel lobby. The employee microwave was blown-up by another guest, so we had no way to heat out Lean Cusine Meals by our second day. There was no place in the lobby to sit and eat, and drank your coffee and juice. I did like having a safe in the room. The hotel room was clean.

This hotel was not what we expected. It had leaky faucets and shower. The air conditioner didn't work. The lights flickered on and off. There was no breakfast as advertised(being remodeled). And it was dirty.

rooms were clean.sometimes the maid would forget to leave shampoo or lotion. 1 room had a coffee pot the other room did not. there was "not" a restaurant connected to this days inn. staff over all was very nice and always tryed to help you.

The location of the hotel was excellent. Very close to downtown DC and right off the interstate. The night crew was behind a glass window when we arrived to sign in. It wasn't very personable, but I suppose it was for their own safety.

Our room was large enough for the four of us, however, staff did not supply amenities (towels, etc..) for four people. The toilet itself was wobbly and had a base problem. There was a hole in the wall where the cable and your "wireless" internet came through. The most dangerous part to this hotel came when we tested the smoke alarm/detector.....IT DID NOT WORK! (reported to hotel staff on initial day), and the staff did nothing to correct it. The elevator for customers had no inspection or rating in it. The shower head and piping was barely hanging in the wall. The one good thing about this Days Inn, was the location, that was about it.

When we arrived at the Days Inn Alexandria the police had a car stopped in the parking lot so we could not even get in to register. I had to park someonewhere else to go in and check on our room. The room was not ready and they said they did not know what was going on. The facilities were probably nice at some point but had really gone downhill. The neighborhood was not in a decent part of town. There were constantly groups of people hanging out at the corner of the property next door. In my town it would have been considered part of town to avoid. They said the printing about the breakfast was a mistake so breakfast consisted of granola bars and juice on the days the juice machine was working!!! It did have shuttle service to the Metro and easy access to the interstate but I would spend a little more next time and stay somewhere else--definitely would not return!!! The room was shabby and not clean!! The extra cot we got could have been used for a torture device!! the floor would have been more comfortable but was too dirty to sleep on.

It is close to I-395 with easy access to washington DC. The room had old carpet and the TV was not in good condition. I guess you get what you pay for. However, I expected more. For example, the carpet and the comforters in the room were old and dusty. Furthermore, there wasn't an ironing board or iron in the room, and the staff was not very friendly at all.

"This had got to be the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. And I have stayed in some bad places around the world. The rooms need help all the way around. Dirty and nasty. Everything needed to be replaced in the room. Getting into the hotel took at lease 30 minutes or more. The staff was most helpful. It's just the room that I stayed in. I know that you were booked for the weekend that I was in town, and I do understand that. But please redo the rooms."

there was a problem with the bathroom. the hotel staff had us move to another room.i am disabled and the staff at the hotel moved my room from the 2 floor to the first floor. and there no problem checking in with my dog. i hope to use this hotel next year for the bicycle race.

Let us check in early. The bed. Good hotel but the bed was extremely hard and was uncomfortable.

We had driven all Day and got into the Motel at just before Midnight. We were charged $* to stay on the first floor. At 7:00 A/M we were awakened by hammering and banging. When I checked to see what was going on. I found that they were remolding the rooms on both sides of us. The Noise was so bad that we had to leave. WHen I contacted the desk. I was advised Too Bad.

This is my first time using the Hotel. The room was very comfortable, with enogh space. I like the fact that we was there before the time to check in,and we were able to do it. The person in the front desk was very helpful.

I can't think of anything---it was filthy dirty and unaccommodating! Housekeepers that didn't speak English, non vacuumed, ECT>!! After trying this hotel for 1 night, we got up and looked elsewhere. I've never had such a horrible hotel room to stay in. Needed clean sheets and a remote control for TV, coffee?, how about vacuuming the carpet??

"This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. There were holes in the walls, was clean and surly staff. If it wasn't so late when we arrived, we would have stayed somewhere else."

I thought it might be too far from the subway to do business in Washington, D.C., but their shuttle service is great! I want to stay there every time I come to D.C.
Date of Stay:

Location. It was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. It is awful!
Date of Stay:

"The towels and sheets were not clean, we had to use our own towels. This hotel needs reconstruction, for example the toilet was moving under me even I am slim. The location of this hotel is bad, does not look like a safe and secure area. Do not go there if you can avoid."
Date of Stay:
April, 2008
Nothing fancy, but convenient and affordable.
Date of Stay:
March, 2006
Easy to find. Roaches in the room. This hotel was over-priced for the quality and service that was rendered.
