Would not recommend this motel. Staff was nice, but motel is running down, and AC was totlally inadequate because they don't AC the halls. Not convenient to any restuarants.

No ac in lobby, elevator, or hallways.

Starbucks defines "Five Ways of Being" for their "partners." This Days Inn provides the epitome of what NOT to be. The room was adequate, but the customer service was appalling. One should double check, maybe even triple check, amenities offered by this motel. One account states an amenity of a "pool view." Interesting since there is NO POOL! The complimentary breakfast is said to have "fresh fruit, danish or muffins" and a "selection of Kellogg's cereals." It had two small blueberry muffins, and three slices of white bread. The selection of cereal was raisin bran and frosted flakes. Oh yes, and instant oatmeal. When one reads the brand statement of the Days Inn franchise, it sets customer service as the #1 priority. This particular franchise appears to have little or no concern for customer service. Accommodating the customer's needs was not done. The staff, particularly those who "appeared" to be the manager and/or owner were not friendly. There was not a complimentary newspaper as listed in a number of descriptions. This motel provides an inexpensive place to stay when in Charlotte, NC, but I would not recommend it unless you enjoy substandard service and accommodations.

The room was ok & appeared clean but one night my husband was sitting on one of the double beds, looked down, and saw a VERY LARGE roach looking back up at him! The following evening, he saw one by our suitcase and he mushed it successfully. We were there for the Nationwide and the Sprint Cup races. The place is a good value for the money but you must be careful not to bring roaches home with you. Also, the TV channel selection is VERY limited. No Speed Channel, no HGTV, etc., etc. I would probably stay there again because of the rate we paid which was 50/night plus taxes. I hope Days Inn gets this and do something about the bugs!

We stayed overnight during a layover between flights. The staff was very nice when I called for transportation and they were very helpful.

Location to the weekend activities. The carpet at the wall needed to be swept. It worked fine for me and was convenient to a weekend event I attended.

The air condition was not on when we walked into the room. And it never really cooled off the room. We arrived at 9:30 PM and by time we feel asleep the room was barely cool. But we were underdressed and did not won't to moved to another room at 11:30 PM.

They didn't seem to care that we were there. Front desk seemed bother that we need directions. The room had such a funky smell that we ended up spending the night with our friends at the Hoilday Inn. When I went back in the morning to get the bags the maid screamed at me down the hall wanting to know what room I was in and if I was coming back. RUDE!!!!!!! Would NEVER stay there again.

Hotel is very old. Furniture and carpet needs replacing. Continental breakfast was horrible with frozen bagels and no milk for cereal. Room was stuffy, curtains were very old and worn, and the overall comfort I felt in the room was awful for fear of catching a skin disease or rash. "

Convenient, that's it. Fortunately, got in late and had to leave early. Had a terrible time finding a place to eat and have a beer. Not he greatest neighborhood. And the TV didn't work.

Quick responsive service @ check-in & check out. Also suggestions for walking area & the continental breakfast. Light switch in the bathroom had to be jiggled to get the light to turn on. (Did not report this at check-out...) Indicated above. REMOVE my data from your DATABASE. Thank you!

The Days Inn Charlotte was comfortable. The room was nice and had a functional layout. The check-in clerk was very helpful, as was the clerk at check-out.

I found Melissa at the front desk to be very pleasant and helpful. Cigarette ashes on floor between nightstand and bed in non-smoking room. Overall, this hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel was very rundown. I was told the hotel had just been remodeled,I am not sure where because my room was nasty. The A/C and heat did not work. Not a good choice and I will not return.

I waited at Douglass International Airport with my 7 and 5 year old sons for 45 minutes in 100 degree weather for a shuttle from the Days Inn and it never arrived. We ended up taking a taxi to the hotel. When I arrived I let them now and all four of the people at the counter knew nothing and offered up a half apology. When we got to our room I noticed no pillows on the bed bet a couple of sets of folded pillow cases thrown on the bed. I let the front desk staff now and they got somebody to get some pillows in the room. At that point, the manager again apologized about the shuttle but made sure to point out to me that the driver said he was there and that I wasn't waiting for 45 minutes. I was over the situation by that point but the fact that he had to make me feel that I was wrong brought the anger back into me. Waking up the next morning to shower, I entered the bathroom and there was no shower curtain!!! No shuttle, no pillows, and no shower curtain. Enough said.

Could use better maintenance & quitter doors. Hotel cleaning staff loves to slam doors when you're trying to sleep. I only used the hotel for showering & sleeping. At least it didn't have roaches!

"Mold in the bathroom, non-smoking room full of cigarette smoke, this has not been remodeled in years. The bed was like sleeping on a rock. "
