Dining:
Cluricaunes Restaurant offers a relaxing and classic restaurant style for all the family to enjoy. There are many hearty meals for the weary visitor and great combinations to try something new. The residents bar has a pool table and darts board and the public bar hosts live music and is popular with locals as well as guests. We have two menus each evening with table d?h?te and a la carte running alongside to give you the best of both.

A pleasant visit, but nothing particularly special about the hotel.

Lovely hotel, great staff! My partner & I stayed at Darby O'Gills for just one night and found it to be a lovely comfortable hotel to stay at. It was a very hot day (June Bank Holiday) but the room we had was lovely and cool...it had two windows that we opened wide to let the breeze in. The room decor was lovely and bright, the bathroom was fine, great shower there. The beds were comfortable, overall a pleasant room to stay in. Loved the 'feel' of the hotel...very welcoming and homely. But the best thing that Darby O'Gills has going for it is...great staff!! A lovely bunch of people...very friendly and helpful. Thanks to the lady in reception for trundling up the stairs with iron, ironing board and pillows for us!! (Hope ye enjoyed the cakes!)The bar staff and the restaurant staff were also great. Food was good too.Met the owner before leaving, a lovely guy that took the time to chat with us.It's the little things that make the difference...Darby O'Gills provide those little touches! We will definitely be back there for a stay!!

Great country hotelVery country and cosy, this hotel is nothing flash but is comfortable and personal. There are two bars downstairs and breakfast was great! Not recommended if you're into the modern stuff but it was good for our overnight stay.

disappointmentCountry House Hotel is a misnomer. Pub with rooms is a better description. Something should be done to stop the noise of a Freezer motor. Sleep was impossible before 23.00 hours and after 07.30 . Bar food only available in the evening. Boring and uninteresting. No residents lounge. Not really wheelchair friendly or easily accessible foe a disabled person.

Well Done Darby O'Gillsexcellent hotel, very friendly helpful staff especially at the reception during check in/out, great value for money particularly as the pound /euro is not good - ideally placed for Dingle Bay/Ring of Kerry etc - would recommend and would go back if visiting the area

Hotel overall was very comfortable. Not quite so impressed with the food though - Chicken Supreme was very dry and the Roast of the Day didn't even come with Roast veges! Staff at reception most helpful and friendly, not quite so impressed with Bar Staff

Darby O'Gills is the ideal location for a quiet getaway. Friendly staff and excellent surroundings. Comprehensive menu on offer all day in the bar. The view from our room was excellent, beautiful view of the mountains surrounding Killarney. The only drawback I personally experienced was arriving back at the hotel in the late hours and had to wait 20-25mins (in the cold) for access as the person to let me in was located in another part of the hotel and couldn't hear me knock, but was fierce apologetic for the delay. Otherwise a very comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Stopped here on a Bank holiday weekend, though €130 per night was expensive otherwise a reasonable hotel - no luxuries, friendly staff and good base. As other reviewers have siad its out of town so either drive taxi or eat standard pub grub in bar.

A nice size room that was clean and tidy. Only poor comment was that the floor badly creaks throughout the hotel. This got quite annoying after a while. But otherwise not bad. Plenty of free parking.

Quality of breakfast was generally good however no fruit was on offerQuality of meal purchased in bar was of poor quality. Had it been better we would have had more meals & spent more money in hotel

Room was large, clean and comfortable - ours was also set up for people with disability and looked pretty good in that regard too. The woman on reception was also most helpful both during our stay and also later when we discovered that we had left something behind in our room. Bar food for dinner was disappointing - roast of the day had run out and alternative suggested was dry, as though reheated. Breakfast was included in our package and good in terms of choice, quality and prompt service. Plenty of parking, but not within walking distance of town.

This was a hotel we used just as a base, we were not looking for much else.Only draw back would be that you cannot walk into Killarney for a night out.Resturant staff were very nice.

The room (207) and en-suite bathroom were clean and tidy and had views over the hills. However, there was a noisy kitchen fan which droned noisily from about 8 am - 11 pm. The buffet breakfast was good. We ate in the bar a couple of times, the service was friendly but the food fairly pricey and average.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this friendly hotel. The breakfast was very good ; we had dinner at the restaurant and the food was excellent, contrary to some reviews which stated that the breakfast and dinner was poor. Bar meals were also very good. A great place to stay and very central to all the south west of Ireland.

Very friendly staff. We were made to feel welcome. Live entertainment on the premises added to the pleasure. Easy to find with plenty parking space.
