I felt the hotel was great. Very modern, great food, clean rooms, welcoming staff. The price is very fair for the services you are provided. Great location. I'll definitely be staying there again!

What can I say - I LOVED this hotel. The rooms were very nice, the location was outstanding, the free continental breakfast delicious, and so much more. I would definitely stay here again. Do bring ear plugs because Chicago taxi drivers love to use their horns and if you are facing the street, you'll hear them.

Great vibe and atmosphere. The Dana had clean, modern rooms with great sleeping accommodations and very friendly professional staff.

Great service and experience, definitely would stay again, though parking can be very pricey.

We upgraded to a suite that proved to be well worthwhile. The bathroom alone was worth the trip. The complimentary continental breakfast was a surprize and a lot more than your typical coffee and pastry. All the staff were genuinely proactive about trying to assist us in any way.

Didn't know what to expect from this new hotel (opened June 2008), but from the time we walked into the front door the staff was friendly, polite and very relaxed. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Its location on State Street is perfect for anything you want to do in Chicago with the Magnificent Mile just a couple of blocks away and a vast array of restaurants just down the street. Definitely recommend this hotel.

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate the long holiday weekend. We were able to get a corner room, which had floor to ceiling windows on the two street facing walls -- the windows make the room absolutely gorgeous. The bed is beyond comfortable, the shower is heavenly and each room has a flat screen t.v. and an iPod/iphone friendly $600 sound system. The concierege, [...], was terrific and most helpful. They honestly thought of everything when the made this place.

I was on a business trip in Chicago but didn't want to stay at the hotel with the conference so i chose the Dana Hotel. The staff was friendly and very helpful, the rooms were so relaxing and the atmosphere was great. I am definetly planning to go back for a Spa weekend at the Dana Hotel where I can enjoy all of the services that they offer. The only problem I had was that they require a $* security deposit when you check in and I didn't bring my credit card on this trip so I had to search for an atm to get the cash. But this problem was very minor and did not ruin my trip at all. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

although this a new hotel i must say that it gave me everything that i was looking for in this vacation. i honestly could have just stayed in the room because it was just as much of an escape. it was everything the pictures said and much much more. the staff is excellent as well you must have this experience yourself.

Love the hotel but the only annoying part is, taking the elevators. Elevator goes down to the Lobby, not the ground floor, forcing you to take the stairs or a different elevator one more floor down. Taking the elevator from the ground floor to your room is not a problem, however if it is in the evening when the rooftop lounge is open you have to take the stairs up to the Lobby and get the elevator from there. Now that your at the Lobby level, make sure you have your room card out for when you get in the elevator to be able to punch the button for your floor...if you don't do so quickly enough, the elevator goes down to the ground floor to pick up people going to the club and of course you see the same guy who would let you take the elevator up in the first place.

The continental breakfast was good. The staff was not customer oriented. The staff had no concern for the customer needs. The hotel has a very young staff that are not customer oriented. The staff was not helpful when called upon. One of the staff members actually put back a statue right over my head while I was eating breakfast. Very unprofessional. The statue could have hit me in the head.

Overall experience: fantastic. We had a noisy Saturday night next door guest but a call downstairs at 3 am quickly put an end to the noise. That was the only downside of our stay there. Staff is very very friendly and helpful. Concierges are great -- they truly gave good suggestions. The room is very modern with floor to ceiling windows, a glass wall see-through shower (with a curtain, of course), which can lead to some romantic erotic encounters...but i digress....The bed mattress is SUPER comfortable. I think it is a down-filled mattress. There's an expensive speaker system for your I Pod, modern coffee making machine and all the usual items. The comp breakfast is very very good and includes fresh cut fruit, fresh croissants, cinamon buns and great coffee. It caters to a younger crowd (20-40 s group) but we felt very at home here and there were a few seniors (+65) staying. Close to everything in the LOOP area and the subway. We would stay there again.

The rooms were a lit nicer that I had ever expected. The employees were super friendly, even the doormen. Great location downtown. If I ever return to Chicago, I will be staying again.

Complimentary breakfast good but every morning they ran out of fruit and pastries. Coffee supply always empty. They offer breakfast until 10:30 am but ran out of everything by 10:00. Also, shortage of face cloths. We didn't get any the second day. I called to get some but they said there were none clean so we got hand towels. Great beds, so comfortable.

It was clean and convenient, as far as location. I felt that it was cold and the staff was not as accommodating as they should have been. My friend and I were in Chicago for a girl trip. We both felt that the hotel was cold, uncomfortable and not as accommodating than it should have been. The staff was just okay, felt that it was not a family friendly hotel. The walls must be terribly thin, because we heard every conversation, amongst other things on both sides, above and below!

I had a great visit to Chicago and this hotel just sweetened the trip. It is located two blocks from the El and close to many restuarants. You can walk to Michigan Ave. The beds are to die for, pillow top, feather pillow top mattress pad, and six pillows...loved it. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I will warn that the walls are thin. I had no problem, but if you are a very light sleeper...you have been warned. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Great location, super rooms and good staff.

Great hotel atmosphere, fine dining and nice sky bar. The elevator is a little tricky since it works off your room key. Despite being on the 20th floor you could hear a lot of city noise and the AC was loud. The spa facility was fabulous!

Very modern, very cool room. Snobby. The door people were very nice, it's the inside staff that leaves much to be desired.
