Last Minute One Night StayExcellent Service and Attention To Detail. The Staff were attentive, courteous and accommodating. The breakfast was beautifully cooked and more than enough for us. We booked a superior room which was well worth the money especially the large comfortable bed. Great white fluffy towels in the spotless bathroom were a bonus. The manager took time to talk to us and gave us relevant information we requested. Attention to the smallest detail was a definite plus for this hotel.

We loved our room, we were in the lime green room on the top floor, superbly equipped with flat screen tele and hifi; but the room was spoilt but lack of attention to detail in that the shower head flopped around, but to their credit they said it would be fixed. Food was good, really enjoyed our stay and thought it good value for money, would stay again.

Da Vinci EastbourneStayed at the Da Vinci hotel recently and was pleasently pleased about its modern touch on Hotels. Didn't hang about in the reception long enough to appreciate some of the art dorning the waiting/sitting area. The price was very reasonble for the comfort. I would suggest take a perigine falcon to kill all the seagulls who sang a dawn chorus far too early, and to terrorise the loud late club leavers.Lovely Brekkie. Would go back and pay more for the luxury suite.

great, comfortable place close to seaside with amazing breakfastAll of the staff members were very helpful with always big smile with them. Room was clean and had all of the necessary things we needed. We stayed only one day but we noticed that we would be there for a week the lack of fridge in the room would be inconvenient. The bed was absolutely amazing! Extremely comfortable that we didn't even want to leave it!

Excellent spacious hotelOne of the best budget hotels I have stayed at in Eastbourne. Lovely spacious public areas and free use of the laptop made it even more enjoyable.I would recommend the superiour double as a massive bed and good size room

Trying with teething problemsTrying very hard to differentiate and be a boutique hotel on a budget. Paint work sloppy and shower had grimy bits and mouldy plug. Also, old fashioned electric trickle shower. Bed soft. Power cut in middle of night that was not resolved until later in the morning, meaning I had to move to another room to get a shower : ( Will probably get better but not for the next 6 months. Breakfast was lovely.

So friendly!I was visiting Eastbourne with my elderly mother and two aunts. So was a little worried about what the accomadation would be like with three elderly in tow! All I can say was it was all first class, from the friendly welcome, very clean rooms and wonderful breakfasts. Frank and Co were all so helpful - A big thank you to them all. Would I recommend the Da Vinci - Yes!

Nice hotel, great artDidn't start off to great with no one answering our rings (x2) - we had to call the hotel to let us in! However from there it was fine, lovely decor and very clean. Breakfast was great. Loved the local art in the gallery downstairs and in the room. The only other thing I would say is hotel not really geared for families with young children, more for couples. Would definately go again with my husband!

Whatever you do in Eastbourne, do it staying here! This Hotel is brilliant! a true home from home, we felt relaxed the minute we walked through the door! The art galleries are incredible and so, inevitably, are the communal lounge areas! It is the first hotel i have ever stayed in where people were truly using the lounge to relax rather than simply when waiting for a table/taxi/check out! ~ The breakfast was beautiful ~ home cooked, fresh mushrooms not tinned! and lovely filter coffee. We stayed in a room on the 2nd floor, and we used the lift (and had no problems) ~ although as the lovely note in the lift says \"the lift company don't think there is a problem it always behaves when they are here!\" The information books was written as though to friends, with truly helpful advice and I really believe that nothing would have been too much bother for them. Yes it's not a power shower, but i was a strong shower, the shower room was beautifully clean, and whilst the towels were somewhat small I have stayed in large hotel chains with towels of a much similar size!! Whilst it would be wrong to say that this hotel is perfect (yet!) as it is a work in progress they have come on huge bounds from where they were! It would be untrue to say that the break was any less than perfect! yes they are still renovating, but for comfort, ambience, customer service and a truly restful stay this is the best hotel we have stayed in in Eastbourne to date! Stay here, enjoy the true uniqueness of this place and be sure to bring your friends! We will certainly be visiting again, and taking our family back too! As a note, whilst we did not go with children, the staff were brilliant with the children who were there and I would imagine this would be nothing less than a brilliant family break too!

This hotel is what I dream of finding but never imagine it is possible. It ticked all the boxes for me. A recently restored Grade 2 listed building decorated in a light and airy chic way: chandaliers, high ceilings, uncluttered windows, plain walls, leather seating. The art work displayed was a pleasure to view. The breakfast was excellent. Best of all were the owners. They are very genuine and extremely hard working and strived to make our stay very enjoyable. I came away feeling pampered and relaxed and wishing to stay longer.

The Hotel was clean, the room lovely and warm with a big comfortable bed and the breakfast excellent. The location is perfect for the sea front and close to town. I wouldn't book here again unless there is a room with a powershower as this did put me off but this is just personal choice. I wouldn't trust the lift as it got stuck which was a little unsettling.
