After a terrible start to the weekend, I arrived at the Guest house. The greeting was geniunely warm and helpful, the room great, especially for the price, and the hotel clean and well fitted out with a modern shower(not en-suite, but I only had access to).I can't find a fault. It's one of the best places I've stayed in, in a great location, run by great people.I'm going to stay here again.

I really enjoyed staying at this Guest House. Like other reviewers have mentioned; Peter and Miranda really make you feel welcome and go out of their way to suggest places to go and eat etc. The breakfast is plentiful too. My room, although fairly average size for a single room, was pleasantly decorated with a nice hot shower in the en-suite. I found the Guest House situated quite well; a 15 minute walk to the town centre, a stones throw from the beach, (The bar / restaurant on the prominard opposite is well worth a try!) and Torquay is a nice 45 mins - 1 hour trek away. However, if you don't fancy the walk, there are plenty of buses around. That's the mode I used; my car never left it's spot whilst I was there! I was luckily because it was mid-September when I visited and not too busy. The Guest House does have it's own parking spaces, there're limited for numbers and there's not much free on-road parking around, although there is a car park at the top of the road. So I'd imagine it'll be a case of first come, first served during the busier periods.Overall, a very pleasant stay. If I happen to be in the area next year I wouldn't hesitate to give Peter and Miranda a call to check for availability.

Peter and Miranda, the owners could not have been more helpful or generous with their time, and they make you feel instantly welcome. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend this lovely little place to all travellers whether on a budget or not.

The hotel is very comfortable and clean. Location is good just 200 yards to the seaside. The full english breakfast was fantastic! Thanks for the owner, Peter and Miranda! We really have a great trip! Budget price but first class service. As it is very close to torquay so I would recommend everyone to go and myself would definitely stay there if visit devon again!
