Two nights at Cuil an Daraich on our way to and from a week in Sutherland.Enjoyed two nights B and B in this very scenic and historic house. It is in a lovely area with green hills opposite the windows and overlooking the river. A buzzard was circling above as we unloaded the car. We were given a very warm and friendly reception and good, friendly service throughout our stay. I think the place would be good for families with young children as there is a selection of outdoor play equipment and also lots of children's (and adult) books and videos/DVDs to use. We enjoyed our visits.

Friendly Guest HouseThis is a very friendly guest house with a warm welcome from the proprietor, Rachael. Great setting, convenient for the A9 near Pitlochry, and clean comfortable rooms. Breakfast was very good and well arranged. Everything you would want from a modern quality guesthouse. Highly recommended.

accessabilityDue to my husband's disability we booked room to accomodate this. Whilst we can only sing praise for the room itself---good en-suite facilities, very comfortable temperature ,room to move about with a walking aid or wheelchair our one criticism was the parking facility. I was unable to get my husband out of car in the bay and had to bring car out of parking space for easy access thus blocking others entrance to other parking area.

Very peaceful stayThe guest house was in a lovely, quiet location and was very clean, warm & welcoming. The owner was friendly & helpful & there was just the right mix of service and privacy. Relaxing holiday just as we wanted.

Lovely budget placeHad a lovey couple of days here, rooms basic but clean, a short distance from Pitlochry and Aberfeldy. Within a short distance there is a nice Inn that serves good food at a good price. Friendly staff, good breakfast, nice surroundings and easy to find. Couldn't ask for anything more for the cash.

overnight staybooked at the last minute and this b&B is brilliant value for money. Tartan room was a family room and was huge. Lovely warm and cosy and best bed I have slept in for ages. Great night's sleep and woke to lovely views in the morning.\Prop. Rachel is very obliging and made a lovely breakfast with lots of choice. But note this B&B is in Logierait whichoutis outside pitlochry and took us a bit to find so make sure you get a postcode for the sat nav. Definitely great value for money.

Fantastic Guest HouseWe had a great couple of days here.The rooms are lovely & Rachel was exceptionally helpful throughout our stay.It is a very homely place with a great view over the river from the breakfast room.We had no issues at all!

Exellent value for money and a good location. Rachel was very welcoming and helpful. Perhaps a little more variety in rolls and bread at breakfast and also perhaps porridge added to menu. Hot water from the machine not always hot enough for good tea. Apart from that I think it was a very good B & B.

We were a bit dubious as to what we would find when we got there given a fairly negative review having been left a few days before we were due to go. We were therefore more than pleasantly surprised by how well run we found it, Rachel being an enthusiastic hostess, with the well being of her guests being her primary concern. The rooms were clean, warm and spacious. The breakfast freshly cooked each day, should you choose that option, and even here, she was very flexible and met our requests for variations to those shown on the menu. She is also more than happy to advise on local amenities. We would definitely recommend this Guest House to anyone, and intend going back there later this year. In eBay terminology, an A+++ scoring.

Cuil-an-Daraich is a gem of a guest house with beautiful oak flooring throughout the main living quarters and it is a credit to Rachel that she has not covered this up with too many rugs or indeed carpeting! The room was very spacious and warm with the most comfortable bed I've had the pleasure of sleeping in. Rachel was most helpful in telling us about the area and it was very good of her to arrange for us to travel into Pitlochry with another couple to save on the expensive Taxi fare! Breakfast was excellent. I had the full scottish (which was served as it should be!) every day. In fact the guest house and area were so good, we stayed an extra night!

Beautiful room in a lovely location. Ran out of hot water quickly. Breakfast awful in freezing cold room. Shame as dining room has wonderful views.

This B&B was excellent value for money in a superb location. The rooms were spacious, warm, luxurious and well-appointed with a warm welcome on arrival. Breakfast was an especially good start for cimbing snowy mountains!

Enjoyed it so much, we are taking our granchildren to the enchanted forest in Pitlochry next week and we are staying overnight there and will in the future when we go walking up that way again

This guest house has been promoted on the internet as though it was a country house you would be staying in unfortunately when we arrived it is just a large tennament building decor has been made up to look good but unfortunately the stairs to the dining room are not even carpeted The breakfast that was served was 1 sausage 1 bacon 1 egg 1 tattie scone 1 black pudding all un professionally cooked, their was no fruit on the menu only orange fruit juice no other. You had to make your toast yourself and the tea coffee etc came out of a self service machine We were very diappointed in the 3 stars given and to be charged £35 per person per night very over priced.

We were delighted with Rachael and her guest house. We stayed in the Purple room and it was beautifully presented, the views were fantastic. The room and bathroom were clean and well equipped. Breakfast was excellent and there was also a vegetarian option. We had an evening meal in the pub 5 minutes walk away, this was also very good value although had a slightly limited menu. Can't praise this highly enough, it set the precedent for the rest of nights in Scotland - thank you.

The Guest House was in a lovely setting with a super view of the river. Quiet and peaceful and close to Pitlochry and main roads north and south. Ideally situated for touring. The warm of welcome and the spotless condition and comfort made our stay very enjoyable.

EAsy to find, a lovely outlook on the edge of the village. Superb room, couldn't fault it. Very friendly and helpful but not intrusive. would definitely go again and recommend. Also gave recommendation for a lovely meal at next local village - cant remember the village name but name of pub was Inn on the Tay!
