Had a nice room great facilities service staff was lacking double charged me for my room and then while trying to resolve the issue I repeatedly left unanswered messages and was never able to reach a manager. Overall was a nice hotel but I will not be staying again.

Nice bed, bed linens, and room amenities. Some bath towels a bit worn. The hotel provided my elderly mother and me with spacious adjoining rooms, hers disabled accessible. The person who checked us in was very accommodating in arranging these rooms, as I had not been able to request these features on line. The rooms were quite comfortable with nice amenities. I used the fitness facility which was nicely equipped.

just spent the weekend there..bad location, hard to find, indifferent front desk staff(we are not problem guests),you could easily have a conversation with your next door neighbor through the paper thin walls and best of all no hot water....if you don't know the Asheville area it will probably take you several attempts to find your way downtown and back

We were quite pleased with the Crowne Plaza Asheville. It was beautifully decorated for the holidays and we had consistently wonderful service. The food in the restaurant was delicious and we particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which included waffles and omelets made to order.

Loved the rooms and the staff. Good parking. Good access to exercise options. Restaurant menu was OK - could use some more moderately priced items. Very centrally located. Easy access to shopping and other attractions. Staff was delightful and the rooms were excellent.

As I write from the room, let me tell you what I found. Finding this place is almost impossible. You have to drive through a strip mall to get to the place and when you get here it is almost like they used another hotel in their ads. The place is dirty and out dated. We checked in and went to our 1st room, yes I said first room was not cleaned yet and there seemed to be brown "substances" on the bathroom floor and was utterly disgusting. We received a second room. The refrigerator is on the floor and the floor is dirty and stained. It is to the point where we are thinking about sleeping fully clothed. This is clearly a low rate hotel not worthy of a 3 star establishment, maybe 1.5 or maybe a 2 on a good day. The sanitation score for the food is lower than the local fast food establishments which is never a good sign. The local area is not the best either, check cashing and pawn shops do not provide a nice get-away weekend backdrop. This place is an utter disappointment and the only real reason we are staying is because leaving for home now would be too dangerous of a drive from driving all day. Plus the place I think allows pets because I have seen people with dogs here which is not sanitary considering even the good hotels are fairly clean and since this is not a good hotel, we can just imagine what is in the room. We plan to check out as soon as possible tomorrow and never come back. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE. If I could give this place a lower rate than terrible I would have.

Our room was spacious and clean. Building was going on outside our room but did not disturb us. Food at breakfast was good - eggs cooked to order, not on the buffet line. We would stay here again. Our main purpose for this trip was to go to Biltmore for the candlelight tour. This location is convenient - no more than 5 to 10 minutes drive. BUT, there are several cautions. I would recommend finding this facility in the daylight.

Clean and classy. Property was well kept and staff was quite efficient. The layout was beautiful and the location was secluded yet close to town. Highly recommend for all travelers.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Holiday Inn Crown Plaza in Asheville. I am a state government emplpyee who travels throughout the state and has stayed in a number of different hotel chains. Because I qualify for the state rate, I usually end up in an inferior room (you know, the one on the ground level that overlooks the dumpster out back?). I was given the royal treatment by the hotel staff and had one of my best hotel experiences ever! The hotel appearance is inviting, my room was spacious and clean with a wonderful view of a wooded area in front of the on site golf course. Once the golf course had closed for the day I was able to use the cart paths for my one hour fitness power walk. The rooms have darkening shades and reinforcement closures and very comfortable bedding. When I arrived at my room and was getting settled I noticed a small set of tools had been left in the bathroom. I called the front desk who told me that there had been some maintenance work on the room earlier that day and that the crew must have left them in the room by accident. I offered to bring them down to the front desk on my way to dinner. When I turned the tools in at the desk, I was awarded two full breakfast coupons which included gratuity, for the inconvenience which I felt was minor. The breakfasts were wonderful with cooked to order eggs, omelettes and waffles. Staff at the desk provided me with perfect directions to all of my local destinations. The Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza in Asheville is a class act and I encourage anyone visiting the area to stay at this hidden treasure!

The Crowne Plaza Resort Asheville was nice. The beds were VERY comfortable and the rooms were clean. Even though there was some remodeling being done on the golf course, we never heard the workers. I was a little unhappy that we were not made aware of the work being done, until we got there. The proshop was also under renovation of some kind. We found this odd, since it was a holiday weekend. The items on the breakfast buffet never changed, so after a couple of days we were bored with the choices. We also had dinner there. They were instituting a new menu, but the food was only alright. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The location was right off the interstate, so it made it very convenient to get on and off the highway. Downtown Asheville was only a few minutes by car. We were hoping that there would have been more restaurants in walking distance of the hotel, but there weren't any. We wanted to take walks, but there were no sidewalks to walk on. We did walk on the golf cart paths, but they were cracked and unmaintained. The hotel itself was kept clean all weekend, but the attention to details were over looked after most of the other guests had checked out. There were glasses and coffee cups left in our hallway, as well as used towels. The items didn't move for the the last 2 days we were there. Also, we had a problem when a package was delivered for us. We had called down twice to ask about it, but no one could find it. When we went down to the front desk ourselves, they finally located it. Overall, it was a convenient hotel, with an exceptional staff, but for the price I would have expected more.

Clean spacious room. Alittle hard to get to for unfamiliar travelers. We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel.

I'll start with the +'s: Great bed. Cleanliness was good. Now the -'s: Let me start by saying this was the Bluegrass First Class weekend and everything was crazy. Very rude reception at check-in from the front desk person, room had small frig but it was sitting on floor, very poor lighting in room, bathroom vanity to small with no room to sit anything, had very rude encounter with waiter in restaurant, room service help could not speak or understand english.

The hotel is ideally located with great views of the surrounding mountains. The staff was most helpful and accomidating. The food was excellent. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Nice and friendly staff. Secure. While we were there, they had a shuttle taking patrons to a concert in town. Hotel map showed a playground, but there was not one. The hotel was nice. The room and bathroom was clean. The beds were comfortable. The grounds were well maintained. The hotel is being updated, but we were not disturbed at all.

The locationm is great, near everything in Asheville. The beds were heavenly, the rooms were large and the grounds were beautiful. It could have used a fan in the bathroom but other than that it was great.

The Crown plaza is a decent hotel. The lobby, restaurant, and meeting rooms are immaculate, but the outer buildings with the rooms don't live up to the same standard. The Golf Course and conference facilities seem to be the big draw to this property. The fitness room is miniscule, the business center is adequate, and the pool (with baby pool) is attractive with a nice few of the Golf Course.

My wife and I went to Asheville for a weekend getaway to the Biltmore as well as the downtown Asheville shopping, restaurants and nightlife. We had a wonderful trip, but were relatively disappointed with the Crowne Plaza resort. Overall the hotel was OK and I would stay again, but the problem is that I have stayed at other CP's across the country and this definitely didn't meet up to the Crowne Plaza standard (unless the Crowne Plaza standard is declining). The golf course was in terrible shape in that neither my wife or I played golf, as the course was in despicible condition. the restaurant was way overpriced and the food was terrible. If you are looking for a nice bed with few amenities this place is for you, but if you are looking for a resort, spend a little more money and go elsewhere. Also, no concierge for the entire 3 days we were there and the business center is atrocious.

I was very pleased with the amenities of the room. It's great to see that Wi-Fi is available. Coffee in the morning is important.

It was a comfortable stay for a stop over. Horrible location and facility is quite dated. Even with a GPS, I had trouble looking for the hotel. Trouble finding the hotel. As such I made sure I arrived in Asheville, NC before it got dark. If I would have never found the hotel in the dark. The room was comfortable, but overall, the building was old and date.
