We had a great time. The staff were very attentive and courteous. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hotel can be noisy at times due to the trains. There were also many children staying at the hotel so if you want a quiet romantic getaway this hotel may not be for you.

Staff wasvery friendly and helpful. Room was a little claustrophobic due to being part of old train station. Room was decent, reasonably clean. The staff was all very helpful. The room service was excellent. All in all a very nice experience.

Recently, my business travels brought me to Indianapolis. Not expecting much, I figured the Crowne Plaza would be an OK place to hang my hat for the week. However, when I entered the hotel I was immediately impressed. When I pulled up to the hotel, I was greeted by a friendly valet that offered to take my car and help with my bags. Then, I walked into the hotel where a smiling representative checked me into my room. Since I was a priority club member, I was able to stay in the Priority Club section of the hotel. I think this section is a bit quieter and more business traveler friendly than the train cars and other sections of the hotel. Signing up is free if you'd like to sign up before you . When I arrived in my room, I immediately noticed that it was immaculately clean. And, there was tons of room to move around (not something you'll have in the train car rooms, although they are pretty cool to see). Then, I laid on the bed and felt like Goldie Locks - the bed was just right! Not too firm, not too soft, crisp sheets, fluffy comforter, and super clean. That night, I slept like a baby and was ready to go for my business meeting in the morning. Before leaving for the meeting, I received a copy of the paper and visited the business lounge for a quick coffee and breakfast before starting the day. When I arrived back at the hotel for my last night's stay, I was able to check in for my flight and print the boarding pass using the computer and printer in the business lounge.

Loved this place. We stayed in one of the historic rail cars, much to my surprise. It was large enough for two with all the comforts of any other room. Comfy king size bed, internet and more ... very quite even with the disclaimer we may hear "trains passing" Close to everything and just a few blocks from the "Slippery Noodle" ... can't wait to have to return!!

Everything went well, from the weather to the nice staff. One of the best trips that i have had.

Clean and within walking distance to downtown venues/courtesy van was greatly appreciated. Jacuzzi floor was dirty, no fridge or microwave in room and restaurant food was bad.

The hotel is wonderful. Do be aware that the noise from the pool carries very well. Request a room as far away from the pool as possible. Also, the train cars are neat, but they look just like they do on the web site...long and narrow. In addition, the wood slat blinds DO NOT provide any darkening at night from the bright lights in the hall. Other than that, all is great here.

This hotel was AWESOME! It takes you back in time! The ghost statues thruout the hotel gave you a feeling of being there when Union Station was active. We stayed in the railroad cars, which was really unique. Even tho the rooms were narrow, due to being an original traincar.. there was still room to hang your clothes in the closet and they also provided a suitcase stand. Was nice to have the refrigerater to keep cold drinks in. The location was great... within walking distance of downtown, restaurants, and historic sites. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and plan on going back again sometime!

The staff was very nice and accommodating. I liked the train car rooms and would like to try one sometime. Not very family oriented but i didn't have my kids with me anyways. Very clean and kept up.

The hotel is in the old Union Station. The interior has been modified, but much of the train station ambience remains. We decided to stay there because of the picturesque decor and the presence of several classic Pullman cars inside the hotel. What a hoot! We came home with a number of photos which will end up in a travel album, for sure.We enjoyed our stay very much and we appreciated not being rushed to vacate the room the next morning. The room was large enough for us and quite comfortable. The only thing I'd wish for is a refrigerator to keep beverages, particularly bottled water. The city water in Indy is not among the best we've encountered.

we were very pleased with Crown Plaza Hotel. They way they were tied into Union Station and all the train atmosphere was terrific for all ages. Everything was clean and comfortable, any questions about the hotel to where we wanted to go in Indianapolis were answered with complete knowledge. It was just such an interesting building to walk thru and examine. We will definitely stay there again.

This hotel was very clean. The whirlpool had very strong jets. I would stay here again! We had a small bathroom problem which was fixed very fast. The water bottles were priced $2.00 each in the room. This hotel was very nice. We were told when we checked in that it had active trains and that we might feel some rumbles from them. We did not hear or feel them. I was not very happy with the steep $25per night valet parking. You did get in/out privileges which was nice. The parking garage next to the hotel did not give in/out and so if you are going to drive around then it was less money to use the hotel parking with in/out. We really thought the hotel very nice.

Hotel was nice, has some actual train cars inside. kids would love that. however we were on a anniversary getaway. bed was very comfortable. only complaints I have is the room service guy who charged right in after opening the door, and the maid who attempted to walk in @ 8:30 in the morning. but really nothing special. parking is expensive, drinks were expensive, *small bottle of warm water seems a little steep. probably better values in the same area. but not an unpleasent place to stay

The room had a strong odor to it.No mini refridge or microwave in room. The restaurant closed at 10 p.m. on sat night we checked in at 10 p.m. and had to go out and look for food. They charged me addition 20.00 to park in garage,no parking for hotel guests! The room was clean.Breakfast was good.

I liked the fact that the hotel is located downtown, and it was a historic building. I did not like the cheesiness of the hotel decor. The hotel is located on the southern most part of downtown. The building looks cool when we approached, but was kind of cheesy once we got inside. Our room's windows did not look outside but instead looked at an interior wall in the middle of the hotel. Not too sure if any rooms in the hotel have windows that have a view of the outside. The hotel did have two computers that where hooked up to the internet and a printer. This was nice for printing out maps or finding things to do in town.

When I checked out the website I made my decision partially on the fact that the Crowne Plaza's are known for providing a good nights' sleep. Upon arriving at the hotel, I had to wait at the desk (with no one in front of me) for several minutes before any of the workers would even acknowledge me. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. But at night time there were people yelling and running up and down the hallway outside our room all night long. My wife and I got no sleep at all! I guess that is why the room comes with a sleep CD and earplugs! Stay somewhere else if you want a good nights' sleep.

Authentic Pullman Train Car hotel rooms! My 4 year old went crazy! $25.00 parking fee. This is the world's greatest hotel for a 4 year old little boy who loves trains.

If you like trains, this is the hotel for you. Union Station is a working facility. I chose a pullman car room, and when the trains come in, you get the sensation that you are actually moving...rolling along the tracks!! The room was nicely appointed and reminescent of old world luxury travel. I will stay there again on my next trip.
