Location the best, rooms are nice, clean spacious for New York. We stayed there during the broadway theatre strike, having pre-booked our tickets we were very disappointed, the concierge was helpful but a complete rip off, charging nearly double for tickets to radio city christmas show.

Though the front of the hotel is being renovated, the floor we were on was finished and was like a brand new hotel. The rooms were clean, surprisingly spacious for NYC and elegantly designed with a crisp modernist style. The bathrooms were spacious, beautifully lit (instead of the usual garish glare) and the shower was wonderful. Our floor was very quiet (even the ice machine was enclosed in a room with a door). The service staff was extremely friendly and helpful-even the attendants at front door (who helped us connect with our shuttle driver). We didn't have a chance to eat at the restaurant; for some reason, it seemed to close early in the evening. Though we were on the 19th floor (with a nice view) there were plenty of elevators and we never had to wait long. Beds and bedding were quite comfortable. Internet was $20 a day, but there may have been a free version of this service through the TV (a keyboard is provided). TV had a decent if not extensive selection of channels (though not TBS, which was showing the baseball playoffs!).

The hotel was under a lobby renovation and some services wa not good. The looby first. But the hotel is a very good one. Maybe someone should have told us of this thing, or maybe not... Anyway the hotel is a good one and the staff is capable and competent

The hotel is currently being rennovated. We found that out on our arrival. They informed us that they were overbooked. We were given a room, with a view of Times Square, and moved to an "UPGRADED" room, with a view of other buildings, the next afternoon. Our "UPGRADE" was just like our original room except it came with a water leak. We were given breakfast vouchers for the inconvience. I will not stay there again.

I like. The lubrication is perfect and the parking is very adequate for the city.

Location in theatre area is excellent. View down to either Times Square or Hudson River. Very close to the drop-off of sightseeing busses. A fairly short walk from Central Park. Our room was spacious and had been redecorated recently - it seemed very oldfashioned though. But all in all fine.

While planning a girls long weekend and reading some of the reviews I was a little worried HOWEVER I would stay here again. We had a room with two double beds and there was plenty of room for 4 of us all women. The hotel staff was very nice and alway quick for whatever we needed. We needed extra towels. Rooms were clean and nice. Location is perfect and and very safe place to stay. You can walk everywhere from here and if you don't want to walk you can take the subway. Beds were very comfortable. Don't go by the other negative reviews. I would stay here again!!!!!!!

The good news is the Crowne Plaza Hotel Times Square New York is undergoing some badly needed renovations. The bad news is it won't help the staff at the front desk. When we stepped off the elevator the carpet was duct-taped and had five inch high wrinkles. The room looked like it had been furnished at a yard sale. Wall paper was patched, carpet was burned and stained, furniture was battered, toilet paper dispenser was covered in rust, grout in tile was stained/moldy, bottom of bathroom door appeared to have been chewed off, and the bolt lock did not work. Add to that the layer of dust that you could actually write on. If there is a problem with your reservation or room rate you were quoted, you're on your own. The Front Desk is NOT going to help you. They actually act as if it's an inconvenience that you are staying at their hotel. They should be paying you to stay there. There are many hotels in the Times Square area and this is not the one you want to be at, unless you are feeling the need to be disgusted and disrespected.

The location is great but I would try another hotel if I went back.It was unusually hot for the time of year, but I was surprised to learn we could not control our own temperature. We complained because it was so hot and were told it was winter time and therefore they could not turn on the a/c, we could open our window. It only opens out from the bottom about 4 inches and did not good. They brought us a fan but I think for the price they could do some updating to make the rooms nicer and let you control your own temperature. Also the blow dryer was broke.

The Crowne Plaza Hotel Times Square New York is currently being renovated. For the price I paid I found it quite expensive, considering no breakfast was included. On checkout our bill contained about four different types of tax that we had to pay which we were not notified about. The only thing in favour of this hotel was where it is situated. This was my first visit to New York, and if I was to go again I would stay at a different hotel, that would be less expensive because at the end of the day all we had was a double room.

I took my daughter on a spring break weekend. We had priority points for 2 free nights and paid the "internet special" for the other nights. We were first put in a room with a mattress laying on a boxspring on the floor and the carpet was filthy, when we inquired about the bed we were told "they like to accomodate all kinds of people" (I guess very small), and that all of their beds are that way. The third time going to the front desk, we were finally put in a different room (close to the maid closet) The beds were much better, the room a little cleaner, but at 4 am every morning we would hear the cleaning staff laughing and talking while getting their supplies together. Still haven't figured out what the benefit of a priority card is. We will not stay in the Crowne Plaza Hotel Times Square New York again. We go to New york several times a year and stay in other brand hotels and have never been so disrespected and disgusted.

Only down fall was the construction still being done on the front exterior of the hotel that limited the entrance to the side streets. Hotel was immaculate; staff was pleasant & very helpful. Room was beautiful; one small glitch was the room was by the elevators which could be heard running all night long.

Larger than most the rooms were very NYC, some what smallish. But enough room to place bags and sleep in a king sized bed, the en-room coffee maker was away and not easy to find space to use or place.
