I had booked my hotel reservation through Orbitz about 1 week before my trip. To play it safe, I had called the hotel on the day before my trip to confirm my reservation. The hotel had no reservation in their computer for me. I had to call Orbitz to get the mess straightened out. Overall it took an extra hour and a half of my time, to get everything fixed, that I could have otherwise used for packing. I had reserved a room with a king size bed. When I spoke to a member of the hotel staff the night before my trip, I was assured that I would be getting a room with a king sized bed as per my reservation. When I arrived, I was given my key card and went to my room. It was a room with double beds and not a king size bed. When I addressed the problem with the hotel staff, I was told that the reservation is just a request for a room and not for a bed size. I was also told that there were no more rooms with king sized beds available for the next few days because of overbooking on the July 4th weekend. They made no apologies for the inconvenience and they did not offer, nor would they give me, any compensation. My wife and I ended up sleeping in one of the double beds. The price for the room does not include any type of breakfast. The hotel does have a restaurant, but the hot breakfast bar is $10.99. The food was very good, but I would not recommend it for someone watching their weight, or on a diet, due to the cost. The hotel is being remodeled and the new decor is not my cup of tea. I know the look that they are trying to achieve, but it really misses the mark. I personally do not find the decor appealing. The water in the shower was luke warm at best on two of the days during my stay. I did not get a working remote control for my television until 24 hours after I first made the hotel staff aware of the problem with the remote. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I did not like the way they messed up my reservation and took no responsibility for the problem. They i

THE GOOD: Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK and more helpful, pleasant staff. The bed was very comfortable. THE BAD: Parking lot is unsecure, and signs state part of it floods in heavy rain. The paint and wallpaper was peeling in the room, and the hallway smelled exactly like some nursing homes I've visited. There is NO EXHAUST FAN in the bathroom so the door must remain open or it steams up. The TV is mediocre and the signal faded. Two of the light bulbs on the tables were burned out. The mirrored closet door almost fell off when I tried to open it. A three bus group was leaving at one point and only ONE elevator was working so we had to walk down 7 flights to get to the lobby. Down town is about a half mile plus away and although there is a FREE city shuttle, it operates on IFFY schedule an on weekends does not appear to run.On the trips to town we ended up walking and after a couple days we were worn out. There is lots to see and do in Norfolk and I highly recommend this city. BUT,Stay away from this TIRED hotel. It has seen it's better days. This compares to one I stayed in, In EAST GERMANY 20 years ago!

The only convenance was that it is close to the Norval Theater so our son's could walk back from their concert. There was a time that you said Radisson and you knew it would be clean, five star, upscale etc. This is a very filthy place, the ceiling fell on my head while I was looking out of the window. The carpet was filthy as was the bath. The housekeeping staff left the prior tenants shampoo and some dirty dishes in the bath. The coffee maker as were the cup's were filthy. Run take your family and run this is really a run down place to have your family staying here.

Hotel is still a remodel in progress. Staff was very friendly and helpful, but the air conditioning throughout the hotel was lacking. Our room a/c worked ok after we turned it on, but we had to leave for a while until it cooled down. No remote for tv in room. Decor was nice, but whole place had an odor that was musty, possibly because the a/c wasn't working. Some floors are remodeled, but others are not. We were on the 10th floor but had to go to the 6th floor to find a working ice machine. Cheap for the night, but I don't see us going back again until the remodeling is complete.

The sleep number bed was great! And the linens were clean. Got the room wrong, had to change-no exercise facility. For the last two years, this hotel has been under renovations. That's getting old. No continental breakfast (which was advertised). The restaurant was expensive for what you got. No exercise facility-you had to travel to a gym. The room was very nice, once we got the right one. The bed was a sleep number bed-it was great! The room itself was nice & clean.

Entire hotel smells musty, but covered in some sort of disinfectant smell. In-room refrigerator was so loud I had to unplug it to get some sleep. In-room air conditioner wasn't much quieter. Sleep number beds were OK. I used the one that WASN'T FLAT. Good thing there were two beds! Parking is OK, but I wouldn't take my family there. Parking is not secured, there is a wrought iron fence with no security in place or on patrol. Next time I will stay near the Airport. This is NOT a "Good Buy" or "Good Deal" as in this case you get LESS than what you pay for...

I was there on a business trip. The Pub provided a wonderful early morning breakfast with delightful servers and the rooms were cleaned everyday as well as being right next door to the Scope.

"The bathroom had tile that was lying in the floor. That was the first thing I noticed and it looked very disgusting. The bathtub was dirty and did not drain well. The shower curtain was also dirty. In the room, the floors were dirty and had dirt spots on the floor, I felt uncomfortable taking my shoes off. The bed, which I thought was going to be great since it was a sleep number bed, was broken. We were overall very dissatisfied with our stay and would not stay there again. It was very dissapointing."

The staff went out of their way for me on more than one occasion. The chicken sandwich, I ordered from room service wasn't the best - but it was ok. I had the misfortune of getting sick during my trip, and the staff went out of their way to help me. They picked up some Tylenol for me, free of charge and when it turned out that I needed medical attention, they immediately arranged a free ride to the hospital.

The only reason why we checked in was because we arrived in the area at midnight. We've been assigned a room in one of the two story buildings next to the main hotel. Walking towards the room was very scary : filthy, smelly, moldy, water leaks and paint falling from the ceilings. The smell in the room was unbearable. We got out as fast as we could and requested another room in the main building. Staff very courteous, no questions asked and we got a room with a view on the 10th floor. Very dirty and stinky corridors, immaculate linens, comfortable beds, great shower but peeling wallpaper due to water leaks, dubious and rusty bathrooms. This hotel is a health hazard and should be closed until renovation is being made.

The front desk staff was great. I could not find one single thing that I didn't like. This was my first time staying at this hotel. Before I stayed here I read some of the reviews of other guest. They were some that were negative. So I went in with a semi negative expectation. Once I walked in I was speechless. The check-in was fast and there were 3 guest before me. Staff very professional. Lobby very clean. Then I walked into my room. The room was very clean well kept. perfect. I truly will recommend this hotel to all my friends. I will be staying here again very soon. great place to stay. Thanks.

There was hair in the bed and bathroom. The carpet and walls were filthy. The wallpaper was peeling and paint was chipping all over the room. There was rust and mold in the bathroom. The refrdigerator was so loud we had to unplug it and the heat smelled so bad we had to leave it off. The entire hotel was dirty. We ate there out of desperation and it was scary. The only good things? the staff were all very pleasant and professional and the shower was good and strong. DO NOT stay at this hotel!

"It looks like they have renovated the lobby and some rooms, but beware! From moldy and falling apart walls, broken lights and remotes. Very dingy"

Our view was wonderful and the staff was awesome! THere was only 1 or 2 entrances to the hotel. We were in Norfolk for a dinner cruise on Sat night. The staff took us there and were there waiting for us when we were done. The staff was very helpful and had wonderful attitudes. We would definitely go again.

"Dried blood on sheets, ice machines not working on at least 3 floors, water fountain broken, despite request housekeeping did not clean the bathroom mirror (previous guest had left a crass drawing visible when mirror fogged), dirty glasses not removed, cleaned or replaced, six dollar per day valet parking to move you car thirty feet, room key cards randomly deactivated without telling guests, sleep number beds on par with camping air mattresses. For the price, this hotel has past its prime. Would recommend other area hotels for lower rates along with better amenities and overall facilities."
