The desk clerks were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were good. We chose this because of it's location and proximity to the trolley line. We only stayed one night but overall was a decent experience.

Location. I have nothing bad to say. Classy and convenient.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived before our room was ready and wanted something to eat. However, the dining room was closed. One of the staff members was kind enough to open the dining room so that we might be able to enjoy a meal. Our room was clean and the bed was so very comfortable. Overall, our spring break was enjoyable!

Very disappointing. Room was not clean, nothing in room worked...toilet, fan in bathroom, door to bathroom broken. Room service was horrible from the staff to the cold food that was delivered. Complained to manager and she took off the room service charge and said another manager would be contacting us regarding the poor service that was given to us...to date no one has contacted us regarding are very unsatisfactory stay. would never recommend this hotel.

Overall, I had a really good experience at Crowne Plaza. The room was large, the bed was very comfortable and the wireless internet connection was great! I was dissapointed with the room service though. It took a very long time and my food was cold when it finally came.

The room was clean with very comfortable pillows and blanket. They include lavendar bed spray, eye covers and even a sleeping sound CD for sleeping. I would like to see a garbage can in the bathroom. The rest is just great. We had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend to anybody staying there. It is close to trolley ride.

The hotel transportation was available. Guests walking around in pajamas, hair rollers and loud behavior. The desk clerk said that the other guests in PJ's had paid just like me and had the right to walk through the lobby they way they wanted to. He did not see anything wrong nor try to apologize for the situation.

I could not be more pleased with my stay at the Crowne Plaza. I had never stayed at one before and wasn't sure what to expect, but this hotel is GORGEOUS. My room was just fantastic, the bed IS amazing, no problems with water pressure, GREAT shower!! This locaton really can't be beat, I have stayed at the Peabody in the past, which is a great hotel, don't get me wrong, but the Crowne has MUCH easier access and parking, and no chaos in the lobby, it was a great experience. Oh, and the internet was FREE! How unheard of is that in a 4-star hotel? I would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be back!! Also, had no problems with rude staff, in fact everyone was super friendly, from the desk clerks to the housekeepers.

This is a perfectly adequate hotel, which apparently had just been renovated? Didn't know that. I don't know that it would always be noisy, but the Syracuse University basketball team and their various supporters were there for their March Madness game. They weren't even so loud as it's just anyone conversing in the hall can easily be heard from your room. The location is a bit isolated from the attractions of Beale Street -- it's walkable if you don't mind a kind of longish walk. Close to the hospital though, if you were there for that. Other than that, nice room, good bathroom, nice staff. Nothing to complain about at all, but not very special either.

Location for downtown attractions. Maintenance problems.

I had much higher expectations for our stay at a Crowne Plaza. Our visit began with the front receptionist answering the phone several times while we stood at the desk waiting to check in. The elevator was not in service, we had to use the dirty freight elevator. The hallways do NOT have air conditioning. The room was clean and a/c was loud, but acceptable. I rang the front desk to see if they had a printer available to print out boarding passes and was put on continuous hold. They did not have safety deposit boxes and could not cash travellers's checks. I walked across the street to the Marriott to cash traveller's checks. I went to the restaurant to ask for a tea bag, since none available in the room and was charged $. I have never written a review for a hotel before, but take my advice and do not stay here.

The Crown Plaza was very clean and comfortable. It was just across the street from the Trolley which gave easy access to Beale Street, restaurants, sites, parks and most everything in downtown Memphis. Computers with easy access, including a printer were readily available for checking out places to visit and eat as well as flight information. The bellman was most helpful with taxis and information. My only complaint was with the registration attendants who were less than friendly and gave inaccurate information about restaurants being closed.

We booked this hotel onnline and I'm glad we did. It was very nice and very clean. The bed was amazing, I slept like a baby. The day time staff was very nice and helpfull the night shift staff on the other hand was very rude. I read the reviews of other people who stayed here and were not happy with their stay b/c of the elavators not working and the water not working right. Well they were still down one elavator but the water worked ok. If we ever go back to Memphis we are going to stay here, and it's all because of the bed, I wanted to take it home with me!!

From the moment that we arrived, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was one of the most comfortable ones I have slept in at a hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others that are staying in the area.

The bed was hard, and the staff was horrible at time of check-in. I booked two rooms. I received 1 room with two double beds and one room with 1 king bed. When I asked to have the king bed changed to double beds since we had 8 people the staff was very rude to us. When we asked for a cot for the 4 year old we had with us. He told us that we had to request those by 7am in the morning to have it that night. You can't even check in till 3! It was miserable. Poor customer service.

Cable was limited in the room. Didn't have TBS for baseball playoffs.
