We were able to check in early which was a highlight since the kids wanted to swinm and I wanted to relax. The room were very clean and comforable and the staff nice and friendly.

The rooms were spacious, clean and beautiful. I loved it, we're planning another trip. My husband and I were on our honeymoon and we absolutely loved it. As soon as we returned home we told everyone about how beautiful the hotel was and how affordable it was. I would recommend The Crown Plaza to anyone looking to enjoy a vacation at an affordable rate. 5 star.

Big room for the low price, modern, clean, and very friendly staff! I will be back here!

The staff was very congenial and the rooms were nice and clean. We took our grandchildren to this hotel so that they could swim, and the swimming pool, though it looked beautiful, was closed the whole time. I also wished that there had been a refrigerator in the room. They did have a coffee pot. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this hotel. The people were extremely helpful, even in the garage.

The front desk personal were very helpfully. The room was smaller than expected.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Crown Plaza. We were disappointed as the rooms were very small and the noise level was unacceptable. If you stay here, ask for a room in the back of the hotel. Parking was valet only and costly but all other parking in the area runs about the same price. The air conditioner was very loud and went on and off all night. Between the noise outside and the air conditioner we did not sleep at all. The rooms were clean but again, very small. I used the Entertainment card and received 50% off the regular rate and I still feel that it was not worth the money we paid. On a positive note, we were able to walk around downtown Harrisburg and enjoy the restaurants, pubs, and sights.

The Crowne Plaza at Harrisburg was horrible, the bed was rather small lookin because everything was sort of crammed together. The bathroom looked not as upclass as the rest of the hotel you could see the pipes and stuff. The location was horrible we thought that gangs were going to steal our car--thankfully nothin happened to the car. There was no hotel parking unless you counted the fee of 18$ per night for the valet service.

Location and staff friendliness. Needs better furniture. Great location, clean room, and excellent staff.

"The parking facility for the hotel was always booked and I had to park across the street from the hotel during half of my visit. Mind you the main parking area is dismal and extremely confining so this was not a loss. The room I stayed in was pitiful and tiny for myself, my husband and two children. I made sure to stay outside as much as possible, so as not to remain in that tiny space."

The Crowne Plaza hotel was nice to look at, most of the staff was courteous & very helpful, the room was suitable, but the beds were smaller than expected. Asked for doubles to accommodate 2adults & 3 YOUNG children & they seemed more like over sized twin beds. When the bath towels were p/u by maid service, there were no replacements left for us. There was no complimentary shampoo on our first night, which is fine, but the second night I was left w/2 half bottles. I did not know that they recycled complimentary toiletries. The Pool area was nice & the kids enjoyed it. The breakfast was o.k.(a little pricey). Yes other than these negative things I can say it's clean, modern, in the heart of the city & is staffed w/very nice people, Just giving my review for other families.

Comfortable, friendly, cleanandgood location. Valet had difficulty finding my car back.

"I was not satisfied with my stay at all. The rooms were small and tight as well as the bathrooms. It felt like I was at a motel. The rooms need to be remodeled as well as the bathrooms. Everything about the hotel is tight and to be located downtown, it should have looked better than it did."

"I knew my room hadn't been cleaned when I found money on the floor from previous guest. No towels in room. AC/Heat didn't work. No shampoo, coffee. Front desk unresponsive."

Crowne Plaza Hotel was really nice. The rooms were great and the beds were very comfy. Would recommend to friends and family. Would stay again. Hotel was about 20-25 minutes from Hershey Park maybe less then that. Surrounding area is really nice...alot of resturants.. it reminded me a little of manhattan.

The view of the roof from the room and the night staff at the front desk.

"rooms are microscopic, bathrooms smaller. A/C didn't work in my room, it was 82 and I had to try to sleep with the windows open. Repeated requests for an engineer were never answered. The ""health room was a discrace. The equipment was so out of date it was downright dangerous. Would never stay here again"

Nice hotel with a perfect location near the river, shops, restaurants, and the capital. We were able to walk to dinner and for drinks. My only complaint was that the maid didn't clean the room on the second night, even though the maid was right outside the door when we left the room that morning and she had had us leave the door wide open for her when we left.

September, 2008
Comfortable beds. Vending soda machine did not work on 2 different floors. Hotel was great. Convenient to the hospital.
