The shower handle fell off several times and every time we turned it on it made a very loud noise. We couldn't regulate the water flow well when the handle kept falling off. Fortunately we were only there one night. The room was small for three adult family members but we made it work. We have never stayed in Philadelphia previously because we have family and friends in the area.

Friendly staff, very clean and neat rooms. TINY bathrooms! No fridge. The Crowne Plaza is very conveniently located right next to the Phila Stock Exchange, and many tourist destinations, including the Independence Visitor's Center, are within a 20 minute walk. The staff was extremely friendly and efficient and the rooms are very nicely decorated. The only downside of this hotel was the extremely small bathroom. You almost had to get into the shower just to shut the door, it made me feel claustrophobic. Also, there was no fan in the bathroom and no fridge in the room. Other than that everything was beautiful.

I stayed at this hotel over a busy "Graduation Weekend". The hotel did not hold my reservation properly. I was straying with family and needed double beds. They gave out my reserved room and stuck me in a single King. The compensation they gave us was a 10.00 free movie rental. I had to argue with the desk clerks to get a proper reimbursement. The clerk who was helping me was quite upset and was slamming the guest coupons on the desk while assisting me. Due to this along with the other inconveniences (slow elevators, construction delays and a crammed lobby) I would not recommend this hotel. At close to 300 per night, there are much better choices in the Downtown Philly area. When a hotel makes the mistake of giving away your room, they should be working to provide adequate compensation and help their guests have a proper room and experience. If there were another available room in the city this weekend, I would have taken it.

Hotel was at a good location for sporting and cultural events. Saw Eric Clapton and Steve Windwood at Wachovia Center, Star Trek and Gallileo exhibits at the Franklin Institute and two interleague games between the Red Sox and Phillies. The baseball park was accessible by subway, and the museum was within walking distance. The only parking option at the hotel was valet parking that we did not need and would have preferred cheaper, non-valet parking. Breakfast buffet was pricey and did not look very appetizing, but a coffee shop in the hotel was a reasonably priced and had delicious egg sandwiches as a breakfast alternative. Once we figured out the traffic flow in the city, the trip was as enjoyable as others taken to the city.

Very clean, friendly staff, and great price. I was very happy with my stay. I got a great price through Priceline.com and was given a free room upgrade to an executive suite. The staff was great and the room was very clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Philadelphia.

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza in Center City Philadelphia and I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms were decent (not 3 star quality though), except for the mold in the bathroom and the poor ventilation (the a/c didn't work) in the room. The service at the hotel is horrendous!! Neither me nor my boyfriend smoke but the front desk informed us that we were being charged 250 for smoking. The woman at the front desk was extremely rude!!!! She refused to send anyone to the room to check again while we were there and did not allow us to speak with the supervisor that accused us of smoking in the non-smoking room. After much discussion, management called back to say the charge would be removed. That was a lie! I checked out, and was told my room had no charges. Three days later, the hotel charged my account the 250 and I have been trying for days now to get someone to call me back and no one, not in accounting, not in the front desk and not anyone in management will call me back! I filed a formal complaint with their corporate office. I truly believe the mold in the bathroom made us sick. If you can help it, do not stay at this hotel, save yourself the aggravation. Their management does not know how to treat their guests.

It was a really nice weekend on downtown Philly. Very friendly staff and beautiful rooms. The only downside is the price of the parking attached to the hotel.

I travel quite a bit for both work and pleasure. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had. The staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. The accomodations are filthy and the staff is uncourteous when you bring it to their attention. I have had better service at 1* hotels. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere and avoid the worst hotel experience.

The white bed clothings was nice. Parking. Hotel was nice, and i would stay again. Leave a lot of extra time to get your car from the expensive parking garage next door.

this was a horrible experience, I woke up in the middle of the night to find roaches all over my bed and room!!! This is a completely RUN DOWN 1star hotel. They need to level it and rebuilt it. Do NOT book this hotel thinking it's a 3star property. It's not, the rooms are very run down, roaches everywhere. Although X who is the hotel manager, was very courteous. Staff isn't bad but the hotel property is.

Hotel was close to amenities. Staff was helpful. I disliked nothing about this hotel. The hotel was clean, and close to the Septa station. The staff was helpful and did everything well.

Parking is horrible. Go around the block for substantial savings. Concierge was useless. Bell staff was very good. Bathrooms are tiny! Stay closer to downtown to see sights.

The Crowne Plaza in downtown Philly is a very nice place to stay before you catch your flight at PHL. We stayed only one night before flying to Texas for Christmas, and hotel was exceptionally comfortable and pleasant. The only negative is the price - especially considering today's environment. And, valay parking was higher than expected at $33. Yet, if you want to stay downtown, this is very nice place, with easy access to everything. Travel in the am to the airport was easy and convenient - only about 10-15 mins. away.

"Bummed to discover the hotel hadn't turned on the a/c yet, and since the windows don't open it was warm, but they were accomodating with a fan which made it comfortable. Large room, TINY bathroom. Didn't hear any construction noise, even though we were warned about it upon check-in. Great location, convenient to everything--we walked from the train station and didn't have to take a taxi once."

Crowne Plaza Hotel PHILADELPHIA was very comfortable, the room was very large. The bathroom was separate from the vanity area.They do not have a mini refrig, but you can rent it for $25. The best part was the location. It was in the middle of the centre city close to shopping area, the best restaurants in Philly and great night life.
