This hotel was centrally located for all the sights I was hoping to see in the city. I ate a quick dinner in the bar/resturant at the hotel. The service and food was great. Upon leaving I had car trouble and the staff was very helpful as I worked to get help from AAA.

Clean, easy to find, close to where we wanted to go. No parking. We had to pay at a lot next door.

The Crowne Plaza was great. The hotel personnel was friendly and helpful. The bed was fantastic...anyone could catch a good night's sleep on that bed. The only problem was when it was time to find some food. It was hard to find waiters in the restaurants or even to tell if the restaurants were even open at about 8 pm. Other than that though it was fantastic!

The room was very nice and the linens were gorgeous. The location is downtown and close to everything. Staff was on top of all requests and very helpful.

Room size and location. Outside construction. This hotel was conveniently located in downtown Minneapolis and ideal for the price we payed.

I stayed at this hotel on business travel, and found it to be very comfortable. The luxury bed linens were awesome with extra pillows. I usually wake up several times during the night, but I had a great night's sleep on these beds. Definitely at the top of my list the next time I return to the Twin Cities.

At 5AM, we were woken up by the people next door (walls were paper thin). Carpets were dirty. Service was good though - not a great hotel, but an okay hotel.

Location and staff. Building work around hotel and noisy. For a quick stopover, this hotel was excellent. The staff friendly and helpful and the bed very comfy.

I stayed here on a business trip. They overbooked, so put me in a smoking room, but did not mention it. When I arrived at my room, I called the front desk and explained that smoke gave me a headache, etc. They were not even apolegetic, but only offered some Febreeze (which didn't cut it) and told me that they were overbooked and that my travel agent booked it as a flow-through room so they couldn't do anything about it. Further, the room was dirty, the carpet thin, stained and old. The chair was also stained and the wallpaper peeling. It is run-down. I would not stay here again."

We were staying in Minneapolis for a wedding, and this was the best deal, by far, for any hotel located in downtown.

Close to venue. Parking ramp. Great deal for the location.

Stayed here for a week in January 2007. Rooms are run down, tile is peeling in bathroom. No parking during day in adjacent lot, only after business hours. Parking spots are miniscule in attached ramp. This hotel is at the edge of the good parts of downtown. Restaurants immediately adjacent include fast food, Arby's, Taco Bell. Have to walk several blocks to get to better restaurants and shops. connected by skyway, but parts are closed on weekends. Downtown is empty and dead on weekends.

Excellent staff and service. Very clean. Not hard to get to but it is right in the heart of the activity and traffic in downtown Minneapolis. Parking is in a garage and that was hard to find the first night. Google map directions take you from airport to Hiawatha Road, which becomes another street (but the map didn't say that). So I got lost the first night, too. Always, always know your car color and exact location before leaving it for the first night. With a rental, I didn't and I couldn't find it in the a.m. The parking garage is old and a sort of maze inside. Since you were downtown, they provided earplugs which was a nice touch.

The Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Minneapolis was a very pleasant discovery. We found the staff helpful and courteous (no surprise in a city that prides itself on being nice). However, on the night we checked in (a holiday), there was no doorman and no bellhop, which surprised me. I was impressed though to receive a call from the desk within 10 minutes of checking in to make sure everything was all right with our room. Additionally, I had a chance encounter on an elevator with a maintenance man who asked if everything was working properly in our room. He genuinely wanted to know and seemed ready to address any problems we might have. The restaurant was quite basic, though just fine for our needs (two breakfasts), and again, the staff was terrific. The hotel's access to the skyway system linking most of downtown Minneapolis together is a major plus in zero degree weather such as we encountered. I wish parking had been less expensive, but we did have in-and-out privileges which we used extensively. All in all, this hotel provides excellent value for the dollar and we would definitely stay there again.
