Upon arriving in Houston we passed up the hotel 4 times and because the location of the entrance is directly located where the do not enter sign is, one would easily miss it almost every time. Vallet parking is a requirement for the hotel [unlisted in hotel stay], however they do give the option of parking elsewhere for free, but where that is... The Vallet couldn't tell you. You have to make 15 minute provision to get your car when you are ready because Vallet is short handed and your cars location could be in any one of their vacant positions. The linens are only changed everyday if requested otherwise it will not be changed for 3 days. [this per door hanger that was found in the room the nihgt of day 1] There are hidden fees for smoking in amnt of $200 even though the hotel reeked of "skunk." Since I am not a smoker and wanted a smoke free hotel, I wondered why it smelled so horrible. The bathroom is only big enough for 1 person to occupy at a time, 2 if ones in the shower and you need the sink, otherwise no leg room. The T.V has horrible static, lacked the usual "luxury hotel" channels and the sheet they give you the channel list on has the ink so chopped up and faded on it me nor the couple we came with could read it. The staff was nice but very confused about even giving pricing information. Not exactly sure if things were put together just for our stay or if it is a normal routine for this hotel but it was my company and I's worst hotel experience ever. Will not be returning to this hotel.

I loved the fact that this hotel was located in downtown Houston and you are right by I-45. The staff was friendly and we had pretty good room service. What I didn't like about this hotel is there was NO complimentary breakfast included in our stay. NO fridge or microwave. And lastly you can only do valet. Also, the rooms were not that big and I had to pay for LOCAL CALLS! That's ridiculous. This hotel cost too much for the little bit they offered. Get this; I paid $38.09 for two orders of wings and a cranberry juice. Thank God the wings were good but that is pretty expensive if you ask me. I could of went to an upscale restaurant with that kind of money. Go to another hotel is what I say.

Was overwhelmed by the parking charge. Upon arrival, $24/day to park the car. Negotiated down to $6/day. No free breakfast. Valet parking prevented car access. Was traveling for cancer treatment. Would not return. They need to be responsive to travelers not on an expense account. Wewill call ahead next time to discover extracharges. WiFi was marginal at best in this day and age.

The hotel lived up to the online rating. Nice Room, friendly staff. The food was good at the breakfast buffet. Location is great. Parking a car is a little expensive but the valet is great and you can come and go as many times as you want.

Very friendly staff, shuttle and valet folks were excellent. The hotel met our expectation. The room was clean, had an ample supply of towels. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant.

When we first arrived I knew we made the right decision when picking this hotel. The front desk was very friendly and classy. When we got to the room we noticed the bathroom was done in black marble and gold trim, and the bed was a tempur-pedic adding just the right touch for a romantic get away. The staff was very friendly and the food was reasonably priced for such good service. The bar offers complimtary appitizers in the evening such as hot wings or fried chicken fingers to go with your drink of choice. Over all the hotel was very nice and very elegant.

The quality of the room and amenities. The bathroom could have been in better condition. Shower didn't drain properly. Overall I was very pleased with the Crowne Plaza in downtown Houston. The room exceeded my expectations in respect to quality and amenities. The staff was friendly and helpful, even though I had to both check in late and check out very early. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Houston.

Clean. Staff. Our room was supposed to be executive level only had a shower, which wouldn't have been a problem, only you couldn't see in there, dark and no lighting. only had about a foot between second bed and bathroom. Pool wasn't open due to the storm the day before. Valet parking was a joke my car stayed curbside at the hotel the entire stay.

I enjoyed the proximity to light rail station which then took us Reliant Stadium. I have no real complaints. The beds were clean and the staff was very knowledgeable about an event that we where in town for. My two children enjoyed the experience of staying in a real hotel as opposed to a motel. Great adventure. Everything was clean. Left a good memory for my children.

Free Van shuttle to our concert venue. No adult beverages in bar that required the use of a blender-too loud/seemed odd. Hotel visit was nice. Restaurant was very pleasant. No adult beverages in bar because blenders are too loud seems strange to me as patrons can be pretty loud. This also leaves little for me to enjoy in this setting.

Hotel staff was extremely courteous and went the extra mile for us. Other guests were kind of rude but, that seems to be mankind these days. Hotel was in great shape except for the fact that only the 9th floor ice maker worked. The staff was excellent. We had a child and parent yelling match in the room next to us. We called the front desk to see if they could call them and ask them to be quiet. The noise kept going. We left 2 pillows in the original room and they were nice enough to find them and bring them to us in our new room. They really went above and beyond our expectations.

Downtown location. Maid knocked on our door at 8am without identifying herself. Room with a Tempurpedic bed. They are horrible. Hard to sleep that night. Then the maid knocked on our door a couple of times at 8am, but didn't identify herself, so we had no idea who was at our door, knocking over and over. We were somewhat concerned, not knowing who was knocking.
