Staff friendly, clean well appointed room, cooling system quiet, some construction going on, hallways were unattractive.

Location to the flat iron pub. Nice rooms, slow elevators, average beds andlousy pillows.

Although I was there on business, my parents and two boys (4 & 7) were with me taking a mini vacation. Nice lobby. Friendly staff. The issues began when we returned from dinner on the 2nd night and the speakers in the hallway were making a loud static noise. I went to the front desk and asked if it was some type of alarm and they said the power was being worked on but that if there was an emergency, these were the speakers they would be attempting to make announcements on. ?? We return to our room to find that half the lights in our room weren't working (including in the bathroom and hallway outside the bathroom), neither was the tv. And the toilet wouldn't flush and had no water in it. I called guest services but no on answered (this happened 2 or 3 times) I went back down the stairs from the 5th floor to the desk and they said they would send up "an engineer". 30 minutes or so later a man w/no tools shows up, tinkers in the dark bathroom and says he has to go downstairs. Another 30 minutes later he comes back, we hear water running and a "oh no" and he rushes from the room later returning and proclaiming that it is fixed. We use a flashlight to check and the bathroom floor is flooded. I again call guest services who send up someone from housekeeping who just wipes up the water with the towels from the floor. This is about when all of the power went out of our room. Pitch dark. We go back downstairs (it's around 11p.m. but we don't dare go to bed). No one seems to know what is going on but eventually the power did return.

I travel quite a bit on business. Location, service and cleanliness were all great. Check in and check out were a breeze. The valet parking was nice, though I felt the valet working upon my arrival was pretty unfriendly. The guy working the day I was leaving was much better. Guestrooms have been newly remolded; my room was nice although quite small compared to similar hotels I've stayed at downtown. The bathroom has been PARTIALLY renovated- the tub and shower surround had definitely seen better days, and was just not what I expected to see when staying at The Crowne Plaza. One of the bottom corners of the tub was excessively worn from years of cleaning and there were chips and cracks to the surround itself that left the metal underneath exposed and rusted. Water pressure in the shower was great, but if you're tall, you'll probably have to duck in the shower as the ceiling in there was very low and the shower head just barely above mine, and I'm only 5ft. 4. The little earplug kit that is provided will come in handy if there is anyone in either in the rooms next to you- the walls may very well be made out of tissue paper. On my 3rd night there was a rowdy bunch of people next door who were up until past 1am.. I could hear everything and it kept me awake. I also noticed that even on the 8th floor, I could hear a LOT of road noise. More than I've noticed at other hotels I've stayed at in Downtown Columbus.

My friend and I went down to Columbus for a weekend getaway of fun and drinking. This hotel is good because it's walking distance from alot of the bars and resturants. I have been to this hotel several times and will stay here again.

The hotel was clean. Not enough power outlets in the room. This hotel was clean and the staff was courtesy and helpful. Our room was nice, but rather small.

The entire staff was friendly, helpful and professional. They had a few extras in the hotel that made it nice, overall the hotel rooms were above average, but not anything out of the ordinary. The lobby was nice, but due to low capacity the bar was not open. The hotel is walking distance to National Arena (where the Bluejackets play). Close to several nice resturants and only a short cab ride from the airport. It was the customer service that made the entire trip though.

We arrived at 6pm checked in and went to our room. We discovered that the air conditioner had leaked onto the floor and it was saturated about two feet out around the unit. we called maintenance. they came and looked at it and said they would be back. We went to dinner and came back about 12am. it was still sopping wet. the next morning we called maintenance again and they came up and looked at it. we said we would be gone all day, just come in and fix it. We arrived back at the room about 8pm. Still wet. We called again and the maintenace came in and finally fixed it. It took 3 days and alot of loss of privacy and hassle. there was also a drawer that came off track and was repaired. the hotel did give us two meals and 2 free drinks for our trouble. the maids, 2 days out of 5 gave us one washcloth. Didn't complain about that. There was also no safe in the room. Usually when you are at a higher priced hotel there is a safe. There was also no amenities book in the room to give you more info about what the hotel offered. Overall, I expected more from the experience. I probably won't stay there again.

Friendly staff. Conveniently located to Nationwide Arena. Ridiculous parking situation. $12-$21 extra per night. Restaurant staff and service. Valet employees were not helpful. No free WIFI. This was a nice hotel for the price paid. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. Also, it was very convenient to Nationwide Arena. I was very disappointed in the parking situation. If you let the hotel valet's park your car for your it's $21.00 per night. If you park yourself if the near by garage it's still $12.00 per night. No validation.

Cleanliness. Only valet parking, bumped the overall costs up $21.00. Newly renovated hotel decorated in with a pleasant color palette. Rooms were adequate in size, although could not be described as spacious. Staff was friendly and cooperative.

Not at all impressed or what was expected with this hotel name. Booked room online well in advance and was told they gave away the room I booked...got a dingy room and a fridge they threw on the floor. Will never stay here again! Emailed the hotel and have yet to hear from them!!!!!

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza because of its proximity to Nationwide Arena. The room was very clean. The a/c was very loud and made it hard to sleep, but that would be my only complaint. The hotel is basically 2 blocks from the Arena District and Nationwide Arena which was our destination to see a hockey game. I would recommend this hotel for anyone going to an event at the arena or the convention center which is right accross the street.

Modern and comfortable. Room was a little tight/narrow.

The rooms were very comfortable especially the bed. It could have been because of the day that we stayed but hotel was very busy and noisy. Every department was understaffed. had packaged that included breakfast, when we arrived they told us that there was no food left, it is a full service restaurant, are you kidding me. Immediately checked out only to wait for 35 minutes for valet to get our car. Will not stay again.

The Crowne Plaza Downtown Columbus hotel is ideal for any traveler. My room, although it contained two queen-size beds, was spacious, not cramped. The bathroom possessed a long counter, which was more than ample to contain all my toiletries; and there was more than enough closet space for my clothes and shoes. Moreover, the downtown location across from the convention center made it possible for all of my needs (eating, meetings, etc) to be met by short walking.

Comfortable. Pool was small, cold, dirty, hair everywhere. Dirty towels. Nice hotel, friendly staff, however disappointing and dirty pool.

It is newly refurbished. The front desk staff. Nice hotel, convenient location but the front desk have got no interest in the guests. Nobody goes out fo their way here. I would not stay again.

Reasonable price and convenient location. Additional and expensive parking charge.
