i booked the hotel because it said it was 0.8 miles from the 02 arena. fine if you could fly.we paid 14 pounds to park at the hotel, 16 pounds to get a taxi to the 02 and 23 pounds to get back to the hotel, which we thought was walking distance. you should state that you are not in walking distance as you have water in between the hotel and o2 arena

Clean, comfortable, it was great. Nothing. This hotel is great I asked for a king bed, they wanted to give me a twin bed overlooking the car park. I upgraded to a Jr. suite overlooking the water.

The rooms were nice, the mini-bar with snacks and soda was very overpriced, the room-service was a bit on the slow side but the food was descent. It had a large swimming pool which seemed very family friendly. Breakfast was delicious and nicely laid out with a good selection.

Very helpful staff. No taxis, just private limos. Excellent facilities, clean and spacious. Although away from center of London, great transportation links on the doorstep with light rail service.

Upset with Food and no bath towelsWe had a chheseboard delivered to our room and when it arrived thae fruit and vegetables were mostly bad and dried up. Really unpleasant adn somewhat did spoil our evening as it was our first Wedding anniversary.Regarding the bath towels they were not any in our room. We were in a rush as had a txi booked and had to wait for house to get them to us. In fairness they arrived within 5-10 mins but really could have done without it.

The room was a good size. I would have liked to have a bath, there was just a shower provided that soaked the whole bathroom floor! Excellent hotel facilities. The pool and jacuzzi were lovely. Staff very friendly. Food excellent, although quite pricey. Overall, would stay here again

Check-in procedures & paymentHotel advertises that check-in is at 2pm yet we had to wait for 40mns before getting a room because the maid was at lunch!! On check out, wrong card was used for payment and no receipt was issued due to confusion with booking.

very good location for ExcelThe Hotel was exactly what you would expect for Crowne Plaza. However, in the morning he whole experience was made unpleasant for me by the pervasive smell of frying and fried egs as you walked from the lift throughout the ground floor! I don't know how the very courteous Recepionists put up with it. But that is a purely personal experience.

I booked a double room for 2 nights at Valentine's weekend but was given a twin room. At least 2 other couples had the same experience so it is clear that this hotel is overbooking its rooms just to fit people in and not giving them what they have requested. I thought this was particulalry mean of them on Valentine's weekend. The dining room was understaffed and disorganised with people having to wait for plates, glasses and tables!

Surprisingly very good for a London hotel - staff extremly helpful and friendly. Rooms excellent with very good facilities and pool. Mini bar was very expensive (£7.00 for a G&T!) - handy Spar on the corner to stock up instead! Other than that definitly recomend it as the DLR is a minutes walk away to get into town.

The hotel is close to the station and easy to get to. Lovely views. The room was very nicely decorated and clean. I would definitely stay there again!

I booked this hotel as I got a late deal for just over £90 as opposed to the standard room rate of £235. At £93 the room was fairly basic, if I had paid the full rate for the room I got I would have been having a discussion with the manager about it. The room was clean but there was paint peeling off the ceiling. When we got back to the hotel after our night out, the bar was just closing and they would not stay open for us. A round of 8 drinks set us back over £50, so if I did stay there again, I would definitely not use the bar again.

Good clean modern hotel with all facilities. Restaurant and bar being refurbished at the moment, but adequate alternative provision. Best access is by river. DLR should be easy, but thanks to the \"improvements\" being done, DLR service is appalling and takes much patience. Access by car is dreadful. Food is fairly good, but some room for improvement.
