stay at the Crown PlazaThis was our first time at the Plaza and i am very pleased to say we will be staying at the plaza in the near future when we come to manchester. The room was beautifull and the bed was so comfy i did not want to leave. The only problem was we ordered room service in the morning and only one meal arrived, however after ringing down the next meal arrived within 5 minutes. Everthing about the hotel was superb.

Manchester visit 20/07Positives:The room was very spacious and modern, a huge window with coloured panes was a nice touch. The furniture quality and television were very impressive and was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have slept in.Negatives:Room service sandwich was dry; there was only one bathrobe and although I asked the desk it never came (along with the extra shower gel I asked for) Also I thought the toliteries would be a 'name' rather than generic. The wooden surfaces were very marked - these should be resurfaced as makes them look grubby eventhough they aren't.

Nice SurpriseI was expecting another city centre hotel, dull dreary, like a cattle market.So what a nice surprise to find that this hotel was none of the above.Excellent location for shopping and for concerts (Eagles).Good value, room great, modern, clean everything you want in it.Reception staff helpful and knowledgble about the area.

Worth the discounted priceThe benefit in staying here is that the Hotel is relatively new so everything doesn't have the 'used look' that haunts so many Hotels. Very trendy decor that looks good but will age pretty quickly (charcoal, light grey with splash of pink). All the staff were very helpfully and cheerful, particularly at Reception. That there were no bathrobes in the room as there were supposed to be, but as we were only stopping for one night we didn't bother raising it. One negative was at breakfast - there were just not enough staff to do what was needed - refresh the hot and cold food, clear away used dishes. Also hot drinks were not served to the table as has been done at every other 4 Star hotel we have stayed in. there were the insluated tea and coffee pots on a table at one end, but nobody was sure if you were supposed to serve yourself or wait for staff to bring them round. See previous comment about staffing levels.

Fantastic hotel!Really great hotel! The rooms were beautiful, very modern. Also provided slippers and dressing gowns which was a very nice touch. The only negative thing is that the view wasn't very good, just of the back of the hotel but it didn't matter too much. We had breakfast included in our rate and it was great, a buffet breakfast of scrambled and fried eggs, sausage, bacon etc plus pastries and fruit - excellent! We would definately stay here again.

birthday night outevery thing we wanted ,central location couldnt have been better, parking was available over the road at a discounted price of 9.75 for 24 hours... very clean , lovely staff , room was very modern loved the seperate shower idea . breakfast included in room price .. mineral water was ready available in room . will definitely visit again !

Value for moneyBooked the crowne plaza at the last minute when we decided to stay over after the Jeff Wayne gig. On arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful. On inspecting the room it was spotless.Will stay here again if we decide to stay over in Manchester again.

A break from the kidsWe were looking for a touch of class for a break from the kids and struck a gold mine. The hotel is perfectly positioned for a short walk to the shops. All the staff were very friendly and helpfull from the reception through to the barstaff. The standard of the hotel is outstanding and the beds are fantastic. Already planning to return. Top bannanas!!!!!!!!

It was perfect for what we requiredWe only stayed one night but found the staff to be very helpful. The hotel is beautifully decorated. Our room was lovely, not massive but more than adequate. The breakfast was nice. Would definately recommend and go back there!!

Ultra modern with excellent qualityThis is a stunning hotel, the rooms were strikingly modern, clean, roomy, comfortable and really well equipped. We were delighted that there were plenty of pillows on the bed and spares aswell which often you have to ask reception for.The breakfast was fantastic with so much choice of deiicious , traditional and healthy food. Staff were extremely friendly and courteous. This hotel would be great if you were on a shopping trip as it is situated right near the shopping centre.

Crown Plaza manchesterThe hotel was easy to find and is very modern and well presented. The staff were friendly and helpful. Check in was slower than expected due to a computer crash. The room was very nice except that the tv didn't work. A quick call to reception and a member of staff brought up some batteries for the remote. (I know tv is not that essential during a short break but we were travelling with a 6 year old who gets bored very easily!!) problem solved for a short while until the tv actually went off and was out of action for over an hour and a half (more boredom ensued! The bar was very accommodating for children and even did him an alcohol free cocktail and rang us a taxi so we could get dinner out.

Great central locationWould certainly use this hotel again. Was very close to the M.E.N. Arena which was our reason for travelling down to Manchester. Loads of bars and restaurants close by. The hotel itself is immaculate, modern, staff are very friendly & helpful and although it doesn't have its own car park, the NCP is only across the road. Even the room service at a late hour was tip top. I find it hard to find a fault with this hotel. Some might find it expensive, but at the rate I got it was definitely value fo money :)
