It was clean but the curtains did not close at all so the sun shined in the room. They supplied Curtin closer things that you can hang to keep them closed but they did not work. The staff was nice and breakfast was good but the room was not pleasant for the price.

This hotel was very nice. Everything was set up to make things convenient for us and our motorcycles. I would highly recommend it for all travel situations.

The rooms at this hotel are very nice. The bed was very comfortable. If you get the right price, feel good about booking this room. It was less money than many lower class hotel/motels. Parking is free!

Although the elevators were undergoing updating and painting during our stay, we had a wonderful experience at the Crowne Plaza North Central. From check-in through departure the staff was thoughtful, the room clean and luxurious, and the amenities more than we anticipated. The restaurant, which tends toward upscale, features local specialties in a comfortable environment. We have recommended the hotel to friends and we would happily stay there again.

Excellent staff, all were very friendly, helpful, and professional. The room was well appointed, quiet, clean, and comfortable. The location was ideal for easy travel (adjacent to I-35 for north and south travel, and adjacent to I-290 for east and west travel.) The only negative experience was the difficult access to the 3 computers in the business center. Apparantly several airline crews use the hotel for layovers, and the crewmembers tend to monopolize the computers for hours at a time, all day long. Maybe a time linit could be imposed when other guests are waiting? Otherwise, it is a very acceptable facility, I will definitely stay there again, but I will probably have to bring a laptop.

I only stayed one night, but I'd definitely come back. The room was nice and cozy. The staff were kind and attentive, and the location was great. Most importantly, I got an excellent deal on Orbitz!

every thing was good except the internet. we asked for a smoking room with internet and they said yes but after we rented the room we found out that, that side of the hotel was out for a week and they never told us but they did refund 17.00 dollars. so for right at a 100 dollars it was nice clean place and a good stake next door at the cattle restaurant and good drinks

Despite complaints with concierge we were never contacted by management to address any of the issues. Beware!!!

We only stayed one night at this hotel. The facility was fine, but the bathroom was so small that my husband and i could not both stand in the bathroom at the same time. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast buffet was good.

Good. Location could be better, but good overall.

This hotel doesn't meet the standards normally associated with Crowne Plaza. Being a platinum member of their loyalty program I was told that I was receiving an upgrade. I feel bad for anyone that stays in a regular room. Everything in the hotel needs to be remodeled. The price was lower than other hotels in this class which makes up for the condition of hotel.

The staff is great!! Very helpful and friendly. Second stay at this hotel since change to Crowne Plaza, will keep coming back for business and family pleasure.

It was a horrible experience! My girlfriends and I went for a bachelorette party. We were all pitching in so we decided to splurge on the executive suite. When we got there they told us they had no "executive" rooms available so we had to take a room on the 4th floor. When we complained we were told that the only difference was that the "executive" was on the 7th level! That the rooms were exactly the same! So we paid extra for a special card that allowed us up to the 7th floor! We went and saw the rooms and they were right! This "suite" was a standard hotel room. The hotel staff even suggested that we switch hotels! The manager told us that he could not reimburse us so he gave us breakfast tickets (worth 12.95 each) for all of us. Not even breakfast is included! Do not be fooled by the word "executive"!

I came without my husband and children to attend my sister's graduation from UT. I arrived in Austin close to midnight, and my directions took me the wrong way. I called the hotel, and they were very courteous and gave me perfect directions. They held my room for me (I had called ahead to ask for the late check-in) even though it was nearly 1 a.m. when I finally got to the hotel. At check-in they were friendly and warm, and the housekeeping staff were good about observing my "privacy please" tag on my door the next morning. The room was spotlessly clean, nice marble counter in the bathroom, substantial towels, and even the soaps and shampoo, conditioner, and lotion smelled so nice! The bed was comfortable, everything worked, and there was plenty of free parking. I did not try out the restaurant services or pool or fitness center, but I was glad to know they were available - they have the option of room service and pre-ordered breakfast to your room if you have the card filled out and placed on your door by 2 a.m. And, even though I could hear children walking past in the hall, the rooms were still very quiet - next time I come with my whole family, I will stay here and bring everyone, and not worry about the walls being too thin! I've stayed in many places in Austin over the years, and this is the only one I feel like I want to come back to.

"This was my first stay, at Christmas time, and I was quite pleased with everything about this hotel. Recently renovated, it had a very clean and polished appearance. The staff was first rate and responsive. The hot water in the shower was slow to warm up, which made cold mornings chillier. Great location; easy access to I-35 and not far from downtown. Plenty of good restraunts in the area and a very nice lounge/bar. I'll be returning. Excellent value, too."

great buffet breakfast, friendly staff clean bright rooms, only draw back is that it is off I35 and was a bit noisy

Really liked this hotel. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The beds were very comfortable. Loved the little extras. Breakfast arrived at the time we specified. One negative -- the bathroom was very small. Felt like I was getting dressed on top of the commode.

My husband and I traveled to Austin for his son's graduation from UT. We made the reservation for this hotel through Orbitz because it was more cost-effective than directly through the hotel, or through other travel websites. We arrived earlier than check-in, but needed a place to change clothes. They had a room available early for us. The only negative about booking our stay through Orbitz was that we had to pay for our entire stay in advance and it was non-refundable upon booking.

"Unlike other Crowne Plaza hotels in the world, this one is far past its prime and due for a total makeover. Old, dirty, A/C problems, no club room, ho-hum restaurant. The place is run by UT students who don't know anything about hospitality."
