The hotel is in a great location. Close to St. Pauls and a short underground ride to the Tower of London. A Underground Station is located almost in front of the hotel. From there, you can get anywhere in London.

The staff was incredibly helpful and efficient. The restaurants were too expensive. London's Crowne Plaza: the city hotel is a pleasure. The rooms are beautiful, the staff is helpful, and the hotel is located within walking distance of some of London's best landmarks and museums. Access to the underground train system is less than one block away. It was the perfect hotel for a one week stay in London.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. This time I was with my partner and his 12 year old son so we required a triple or family room which many hotels do not offer (this was also a particularly busy weekend in London so we had to pay a bit more than usual but this was the best deal by far compared to others), The Crowne Plaza The City London has spacious family (2 double beds) rooms which were ideal for our party. This hotel is on the edge of the city, opposite Blackfriars tube station and a stones throw from the Thames, it is an ideal location as it is reasonably quiet at the weekends but with great access to shops, restaurants, bars etc. The staff here are very attentive and friendly, they are a credit to the hotel. This Crowne Plaza is modern, clean, bright and spacious. I cannot comment on the food as we did not eat there, but we had a quick drink in the bar. I would recommend it to anyone.

On our first trip to London we stayed in a room that was so small I think we could have touched the walls on the opposite sides of the room if we'd held our arms out. So this time, we were pleased with the size of the room. It wasn't huge, but it was certainly large enough for the two of us to move around. I've never stayed in a hotel with a bathroom that met my standard of cleanliness, so with that said - it wasn't too bad. The hallway outside our room smelled of mildew which surprised me since they don't have a pool. The staff was helpful and friendly. The minibar has snacks and drinks which you are automatically charged for as soon as you pick them up - however, there is coffee, tea and biscuits which are replenished daily that are available for free. It was nice to return to the hotel after a day of site seeing and have a hot cup of tea. The location was perfect. The tube station is just outside the hotel entrance. We paid 23 pounds for 7 day Oyster cards which cut our transportation costs and made it easier to get around. If you prefer to walk, there are many attractions within walking distance. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Convenient location near the Thames. You can walk to the Tate Modern and St Paul's. It is also Convenient to Covent Gardens for dining. Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were a good size and very comfortable. The Blackfriars tube station is closed which makes it a little more difficult to get around. There are other tube stations within walking distance. Wifi service is not available in the rooms.

This is a great hotel close to St Paul's Cathedral and other major sights in The City. Blackfriars tube is literally seconds away. Rooms are bigger than one typically finds in London - clean, bright, and airy. Staff is extremely helpful and attentive. Highly recommended for either business or leisure trips.

Everything's perfect with our stay (one week); very convenient to the Tubes, buses, and one of the bridges if you want to walk right across the Thames. Great hospitality from all the staff. This place also has a bar, a British and an Italian restaurant downstairs; we tried the Italian restaurant and it was one of the best we had. The food from their room service was so good that it beats most of the restaurants our there, in addition, they offer after-hours (24x7) light menu, which helps tremendously when we got back to the hotel very late in the evening. We've already recommended this hotel to both our co-workers and friends, as it's perfect for both business trips and personal/family vacations alike.

Good location, friendly staff, lots of light in room. The view of the crane and construction site. The room was light and airy and clean. I liked that the room was not hot and claustrophobic feeling like some hotel rooms. The hotel was located near major sites and we walked and walked and walked fun!

"The location was fabulous - so easy to get to and from the airport on the ThamesLink train - the station was across the street from the hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We arrived very early - too early for our room, but they let us shower and change in the gym and leave our bags while we explored. The staff also provided tons of helpful sightseeing and dining tips. The breakfast was really good, but seemed very expensive, so I advise others to skip it."

Everything - location, room, staff. Great place. Can range on the pricey side. This is a great spot just step from Fleet Street, and a short walk to Embankment Station and the exciting waterfront. From here my wife and I toured the highlights of the city and enjoyed ourselves more than we did a week later when we stayed near Paddington Station. The room was beautiful and spacious with a fabulous bathroom.

Amazing service. After we called the Concierge for a phone number he actually called the place we need info from and got it for us. Because it is in the business district there is not a lot of options for food near on the weekends. The Crown Plaza was better than I had imagined. Usually in London ( and most European Cities) you get a small room and small beds. This was set up like an American style room very large. The staff was great and they had early check in without any problems. Very close to the Underground (Backfires on the Circle/ District line). Only problem is that due to the location (the Business District) there is not many options for food outside of the hotel that are near. If you don't mind walking a bit go East about a mile. The Millennium Bridge will be on your right and the Wren (St. Pauls? Cathedral) will be on your left. There are some food options by the Cathedral and if you cross the Millennium Bridge (amazing views) and go to the left of Shakespeare's Globe; there are a few restaurants.

Would definitely stay here again. Can't beat the location. Friendly, helpful staff. We felt very welcome with the cookies and bottled water on arrival.

Our room surpassed our expectations. The suite was luxurious, spacious and very, very comfortable. The hotel was fantastic. What a wonderful way for two tired Aussies to finish off our stay in England with the last two nights at the Crowne Plaza London. Our suite was spacious, luxurious and very, very comfortable. All our needs had been anticipated. The king size bed was so comfortable, and the deep bath with the quality toiletries a definite winner. What a wonderful touch, also, the coffee peculator and the chocolates. Absolutely divine. I feel I must give this hotel a ten out of ten. We will definitely come again.

Location is great. No parking on site, internet too expensive, room decor very boring and dull and old.

They upgraded our room for free. The cleanliness of washrooms. Fantastic hotel, in a perfect location on the banks of the River Thames, near St Pails, Tate Modern and some fantastic restaurants at Smithfield's. The staff where incredibly friendly and real helpful, even after we had checked out. The room was clean, spacious, and modern, with a very comfortable bed, with the luxury robes, slipper and Molten and Brown products in the bathroom; a perfect place for a retreat and to recover the pre-season blues.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It wasn't quite 4 star quality. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful from helping us check in and store our luggage, to finding us a great restaurant, to suggesting near by attractions. The room was clean, comfortable, and attractive. While I do not think the hotel was quite at a 4 star level, I was not disappointed at all with my stay. It was a great location, and there were no outstanding negatives to this hotel. I would stay here again.

Best location and wonderful clean room and very comfy bed fantastic staff very helpful. We like everything. The best hotel in London to stay if you are a tourist. This place was great. The staff are terrific they were so helpful and the nicest people and trust me I am not the nicest when it comes to poor service. These people where the greatest hotel staff I have ever worked with. I am a former business traveler and I rate this as one of the best experiences I have ever had. If you go out the front door and 15 steps to the right is the Underground transit system and trust me this is the only way to travel in London. Everyone helped us on how to navigate and we did not get lost once. English breakfast downstairs is good, it costs but if you bought their package they upgrade your room and give you club level. We took advantage of that because it gave you breakfast every morning and free drinks like soda water and snacks plus in the evening beer which if you drink even a few you get your money back considering a soda in pounds is like 7 dollars for u.s. Anyhow, bravo to Crowne Plaza London the city. We are recommending you to all of our friends.
