Had a great time and would recommend it highly. We had trouble because our teens were not allowed in the teen dance club because of the wrist bands. Had to do more with the web site not getting the right info to the resort. then they wanted to charge us alot more to get the correct armbands. The websites and the resort need to fix the problem so that there is no confusion. Rooms were great and the staff was very helpful and curtious. The atmosphere was great and had a beautiful view of the ocean from our balcony. The food was very good but the wait for meals was kind of long. Overall a great place and would go back in a heartbeat.

Great family resort, kid friendly, great location, pool and beach access, excellent entertainment and wait staff. Front desk staff not accomodating, hard beds. Hotel was great for families with younger kids. Onsite water park with kids club and larger water slides was excellent. We were very satisfied with the hotel for the price we paid. Food was good, pool and beach was excellent. Entertainment and waiter staff was excellent. Rooms were average, beds uncomfortable as most Cancun hotel beds are. Only complaint is the front desk staff tried to downgrade our room (family suite) was not available. Front desk staff was not accommodating and didn't attempt to make us happy. Luckily, we called priceline who then called the hotel and got us a family suite (which we paid for). The room ended up being an upgrade so we were satisfied despite a couple hours of runaround from the hotel desk staff. The hotel is very nice for the star rating it is given and for the rate we got it for.

We arrived at 2 in the afternoon, our room wasn't ready till after 6 that evening. The buffet was ok, most of the restaurants were discusting, and the waiters were rude. The activities department were exceptional.

My family has been traveling to this same hotel for over 20 years now. My parents have a time share and stayed in a suite. My husband and I stayed in a regular room. The rooms are just ok. They could really use some decorating tips, but it is clean and has what you need. I will be honest and say that the beds are terrible. The best part (beside the gorgeous view) is the all-inclusive food and drinks. You may need to make reservations early for some of the restaurants, but the food is great. There are multiple theme restaurants, but my favorites were the Mexican and French theme restaurants. If you are up after midnight, stop my the snack grill for the best steak sandwich ever. The only other complaint is the lack of consistent information about events and activities. Some flyers say one time while other boards tell you another. We do not have any kids, so we also enjoyed the adult only seating and the adult only pool area. If you have kids, we hear excellent reviews from families about the kid areas and day-care staff. It's great to lay by the pool and have your biggest worry be what drink to order or how to fit all your meals into one day!

It was great and fun. We had a very wonderful stay. The only problem that we had was that the bed was very hard and not all that comfortable after a week stay!! Other than that it was a great place to stay the staff was very friendly and inviting.

I read alot of the reviews on this resort before we booked our stay in Cancun, most reviews were good, but a few were negative. I didn't find anything negative about this resort. They were busy working on the grounds all the time and the food is plentiful and very good. The rooms were very clean, maybe could use some updatings, but very nice and we had a 2 bedroom, 3 bath that we exchanged for through RCI and it was very spacious. It was actually 3 rooms. If you have kids, there are alot of things for them to do. We didn't have kids along, but there were alot of kids there. We had never done an all inclusive before so we thought this was the most reasonable one in the Cancun area, and it was great. It's nice not having to pay for everything separate. I would definitely stay here again. Hopefully in a couple of years we'll be back.

We stayed at this hotel 8 years ago and it was pretty nice. This visit was very different: They "lost our reservation" and weren't sure we would have a room. I called the travel agency - but didn't save us and as we were out of country there was no way for anyone to call us back. The hotel front desk was overwhelmed with upset customers and actually laughed at us when they realized they had no reservation for us. They found a room for us with one King Bed. There were 4 of us traveling. After much debate they provided a very small twin rollaway. I slept in the king bed with 2 teenagers and my husband slept in the small rollaway. They kept promising each day to get a new room or a new rollaway or something - but it never happened. It was a daily race to get pool chairs - spring break week with roughly 2000 occupants in hotel there were 200-300 chairs. You had to go out at 5 a.m. and get chairs and sit on them the whole time or the hotel staff removed the towels and personal items. For a 5 night stay we called immediatley upon arrival for dinner reservations and were able to get reservations in the restaurants 2 nights at late dining times and had to eat in buffet rest of the nights. All in all - even with the facility difficulties - the overriding impression was the staff just didn't care about the guests. That must be a reflection of management. We have stayed at 6 other resorts in Cancun and have never had such poor service. The service was poor starting at the front desk and at every area of the resort.

This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel. On my first trip the hotel was wonderful back in 2004. That is why I chose to go back again. What a difference a few years make. The menus have changed in all the restaurants. The more expensive foods have been removed. Each one is very limited. The first time we went there, you could have the best time inside the resort. No longer. There is no night club as they offer. It is always closed and meant for teenagers, not adults. It is very small, with no dj. In 2004, before they remodeled it...it was very nice with dj on some nights and live bands on others. Like I said, what a difference a few years make. I wish I had the time to tell what a poor experience we had but the truth is, it would take many more paragraphs and I just don't have the time. As a regular customer of the resort, I can positively say, I will not be returning to the Crown Paradise Club for a forth stay. If only, it never changed.

Overall excellent experience at this hotel. Great Food, Nice Rooms, and Good program for kids. The best tips you will ever get for this hotel: 1. Bring your own cup, otherwise 8 oz cups for your drinks 2. Dont expect 5 star hotel for 4 star price. Nice hotel but not a 5 star. If you want 5 star, go to Marriott or Ritz. 3. Get the key to the safe in room and lock ur valuables. Don't leave anything in plain sight. 4. Reserve Dinners for your entire stay the minute you check in 5. Take a sweater & jeans, just in case @ night 6. Download your pics every night or safeguard your memory chip 7. Take the bus to all locations, $.60 each way vs. $10-$15 on taxi. 8. Prepay your airport transfers ahead of time 9. Pack a change of clothes for each day you are on vacation in a carry on bag. We met a couple whose bag was lost and they received it on the day they were leaving. If they would of followed this rule, no problem, all they would of needed would of been toiletries. Instead they paid over 2k in clothes, shoes, etc. 10. Go to Isla Mujeres and enjoy the North Beach, much nicer and not as rough as Cancun waters. 11. Eat at Margaritaville, avoid Senor Frogs!

I read many reviews on Crown Paradise and have come to the conclusion that you just cannot make some people happy no matter what. This hotel has a beautiful view from any room, the grounds are constantly being cleaned and manicured, the food was plentiful and fresh and you could get anything you wanted to drink. I was tentative after reading several reviews, some good, some bad. We went on our trip with two other couples and their children ages ranging from 10 - 13. The kids had plenty to do and so did the adults. It was great having the "adult" pool. When we got tired of the kid noise we just went to the adult pool for a cold beer/vodka tonic and a quiet swim. While I prefer restuarants to buffets, I knew what to expect and was pleasently surprised by the variety and freshness of the food. This is perfect for kids. There was always fresh fruits, salads, roasted chicken, burgers, hot dogs, a "Mexican station" along with several other choices. They even had a Oriental place where you could get chinese food to order or sushi. There is a very comfortable lobby bar which we would meet at for a drink before dinner and then we would head to the adult bar after dinner for drinks, fun music and pool. For the price we paid I think we got an excellent deal and everyone in our party had a good time. We took the bus to town and shopped in the mall. The mall was absolutely gorgeous, a must for shoppers! While tipping was not included we tipped the maid everyday and the wait person for our table. They do not expect it but it is most appreciated and we were happy to do it.

Very good service except the Spa meaning that the jacuzzi didnt work at all and the Russian Showers where to hot and they couldnt control them. All the staff and hotel was perfect exect the Hotel Recreators they need more activities and they need to be more active. They also had good bartenders and the best one was in the Adults pool with the guy named [...] he was AWESOME

The hotel and grounds are very pretty, except for the small area of construction, but we were never bothered. The hotel was quite large and very full when we were there, but we spent most of our time in the adults-only pool and never felt overwhelmed with people. You have to get up early to get a chair on the beach, because even though the hotel has a "no saving seats" policy, no one seems to enforce it. They have a towel program so you dont have to bring your own, but several times they had none available. We loved the sushi bar! Ate there every day for lunch, though there usually is a wait to get your food. The buffet food was OK- nothing spectacular, but the "sit-down" restaurants were amazing, especially the French Cuisine one!! So much delicious food... Most of the selections we tried from the room service menu were also very good. The drinks were plentiful but low on the alcohol unless you were very specific in ordering (tip: speak spanish to the bartenders, even just a little bit, your drinks will get stronger- they appreciate the effort). Tips also help that problem. Our rooms were cleaned and towels replaced every day, even if we slept through the first round of cleaning they made sure to come back. The staff was very nice and helpful. I recommend this hotel for sure. Don't expect to be in the lap of luxury, but we enjoyed it immensely.

We've been going to all inclusives in the Cancun/Cozumel area for 9 years now and without a doubt, this was the worst experience we've ever had. I don't normally write reviews and am generally of the opinion that when it comes to Mexico, you get what you pay for. In this case however, I had to write something. Our groups biggest complaint was the food. We `arrived late in the afternoon and it was too late to get a reservation at any of the properties "themed" restaraunts, so we hit the buffet. The food here ranged from cafeteria quality to downright atrocious. For example, you would think in Mexico you would find things like guacamole (my personal measuring stick) in abundance, but here I found the stuff that comes out of a can in the frozen food section of your grocery store. It seems incredulous to me that you should have to wander around a buffet looking for plates, or plastic glasses for beer. But such was the case here and on more than one occaision. When I questioned one of the staff regarding this he gave me a rather surly remark and retrieved a glass for me. Getting reservations at one of the other 5 themed restaraunts (French, Seafood, Italian, Mexican, Steak) where the food proved to be only marginally better was a chore as well. The reservations people were at times rude. We were also surprised to learn that the "free" golf advertised in the lobby was in fact not inclusive of the green fees. They only took care of the cart rental. After shelling out 150.00 U.S. per player, we were on. All in all, this place rates about 2 stars out of a possible 5.

Great staff. Clean rooms, we had the Club Room which was super nice, so I cant speak for the regular rooms. The outside was not not quite as nice as some of the newer hotels, but the rooms looked newly remodeled (although the bed was not very comfy). The restaurants at the resort were great! 3 large pools. Swim up bar. Overall, for the price, not too bad, but if I were to do it all over again, I would have paid just a bit more for a nicer place. Also, it is kind of far away from down town, but then again, the bus is only $1 a person, so that was no huge deal.

We recently stayed at the Crown Paaradise Club - a simple trip with a few friends, that should have been great. Little did we know, we had picked the worst hotel any of us would ever stay in... Check-in took more than an hour, only to find that our room wasn't ready (2+ hours after the previous traveler's check out). When our room was finally ready, we found a dirty, hot mess with no A/C - we of course asked to be moved. The second room wasn't any better, resulting in us "upgrading" to a suite at our expense - another room with hardly any A/C, though it was marginally cleaner. We thought this would be the worst of it, but it was nothing compared to what the week had in store for us - Major Construction (jackhammers in the morning/afternoon/evening), Pool Closure, Restaurants Closed, No Internet Access (we paid extra for this), Poor Drinks, Wet Paint, Dangerously Chipped Tile Debris (pool), Wet Floors With No Signage, Sub-Par Food.... The list goes on and on. It took us several days to arrange our early return, with no help from Orbitz - We finally had to call Frontier directly, which should have been our first move. They got us on a plane ASAP and back to the States - something Orbitz couldn't handle. Our Recommendation? Skip this resort, it's not what you might think you're signing up for. We don't think we'd go back if it was free...

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The buffet food was very good, the only thing that was very inconvenient was that you could only eat at the hotel restaurants if you had a reservation, time schedules aren't good sometimes when you are on vacation. Other than that it was very enjoyable!
