our stay at the Crown LodgeWe thought the Crown Lodge was an excellent place to stay. The service and quality of the food could not be beaten. We would and hopefully will stay there again. The only tiny criticism was the wardrobe space it was quite small for a weeks stay although it would not put us off staying there again. Lynda and John were very helpful at all times.

Home from homeWe experienced an excellent week-end at this very clean, bright, well run establishment. We loved the room with an en-suite wet room, although the restricted wardrobe space would have been a small issue if we had stayed for a week or two.We loved the cooked-to-order breakfasts, and nothing was too much trouble for John and Lynda who add that valued personal touch.

torbayexcellent accom, everything provided in room you could possibly imagine. just like a 5* hotel. if we were to have any reservations it would be that the room was a little on the small side. all the good points made up for the smaller room. breakfast was cooked to order and used good quality bacon sausages etc. we are delighted we chose this accom.

Excellent hotelMy husband and I have just spent a night at the Crown Lodge Hotel and only wished we could have stayed longer. The whole experience was delightful and the quality and cleanliness of our room was matched throughout the hotel. The food was excellent and the advice and service we received made us feel welcome and valued. It was also excellent value for money. The hotel's location was easy to find and had private parking. It was situated within easy reach from the centre of Torquay; a nice stroll, passing the Abbey grounds, Victorian cricket pavilion and the seafront.I would recommend this hotel to the discerning traveller!

Nice B&BOverall, I can say that our stay was pleasant except for some issues of cleanliness of the room after our first night... the day after we arrive it seems that the room is not being vacuum cleaned, as some hair and small particles were left on the floor. Also worth mentioninng, you must bring your own toiletries coz after you consume the one provoded. they do not replace it anymore. Not really ang issue coz most people bring their own. The owners are friendly and the breakfast were good. I would definitely use this hotel again in the near future...

Top quality B & BJust returned from a week-end stay at the Crown Lodge. This small but very welcoming hotel provided everything we needed and more. Very helpful proprietor who rang around several restaurants for us to book a table on a very busy Bank Holiday Saturday night. The room was newly decorated, fresh and spotlessly clean. Handy mirrors and power points for hairdryer (provided). Also provided full size iron and board, also electric fan should you have warm weather. It was the little extras that make this a cut above the rest. An excellent breakfast which was cooked to order. I would definitely recommend this hotel for people looking for a comfortable, quiet stay situated about 15 mins walk from town or sea front.

ExcellantThe welcome was friendly and all details explained regarding breakfast times and if we required any assistance, we could ring the bell to contact them any time of day. The room was clean, tidy and fresh. The breakfast was perfect and you could ask for whatever you wanted regarding your cooked breakfast.I liked the fact that the radio was on in the breakfast room as it made it easier to talk and not feel like all could hear your conversation. Would definately recommend this lovely hotel and would stay here again if visiting Torquay.

A night in TorquayEasy to find from the railway station at Torre, a very warm welcome from Linda, a tidy and well presented room with a good size bathroom/wet room, nice flat screen but not great for working from as no desk but two chairs in the room.Room was very comfortable and a nice touch with a small mini fridge that could be stocked with water as room is warm.

Comments on Crown Lodge TorquayWe found the hotel by chance on Late rooms and were delighted with this find. We have been to Torquay on many occassions staying at different hotes and guest houses but none quite achieved the levels of friendliness, cleanliness and cheerfulness as the Crown Lodge. Linda and John are excellent hosts and the breakfasts were to die for. I will certainly return......

Weekend AwayA big Thank you to Crown Lodge who helped make our weekend most enjoyable. Loved the breakfast, which was made to order and very very good quality. The room was exceptionally clean and tidy with a nice smell. Only critism was the showerhead in the bathroom was faulty (had a poor fitting). The windows could benefit from thicker curtains as street lighting is quite intrusive. Despite these very minor points we cannot fault the quality, friendliness and hospitality given to us and I would definately stay there again.

We had a great two night stay at the Crown Lodge. Its very convenient for the town centre as well as Torre Station. Its on a street full of other accommodation but looked very good from the outside and our room (No 3) was fabulously bright with a bay window and white furnishings. The hosts were brilliant, our motorbike had a puncture and they rang around local bike shops for us and even inflated the tyre temporarily so we could get tot he garage. VEry helpful - will stay again!
