This is the best place to stay if you are on a budget. The rooms are very clean and staffs are very friendly. I stayed here at least 4 times within the last 3 months.

Very inexpensive and good value No ice machine and room refrigerator was frozen over Good value and very nice staff. Even with refrigerators in the room, it's silly not to have one ice machine on the premises.

I chose this hotel because it was only a mile or two from the place I was working for 2 days and because it was relatively cheap (54.99 for me). The room was basically clean and comfy but had a few quirks worth mentioning. When I arrived at 11pm, I was told that yreservation had been cancelled because my credit card had been declined. I had never received any indication of this, nor should my card have been declined for any reason. In fact, I used the same card to pay for the room in the end. They checked me and but due to some confusion I was sent to a room that had not yet been cleaned (and still ahd the TV on for some reason, which at first led meto believe there was someone in it, but there wasn't). After going back to the office, I was given another room. No big deal, mistakes happen. The good: basically clean and comfortable. Nice kitchen area with stove, fridge, microwave, sink, cabinets, and coffee maker.Alarm clock, nice AC/heating unit. About 25 decent cable channels. Drawers for clothes, etc., a place to hang clothes and a bedside table. The bad: "High speed wireless internet" was anything but "high speed" and cost a one time fee of 4.99. Fridge buzzed so loud whenever it cycled that I turned it off so I could sleep. Shower head was a bit grungy but shower was clean. Shower only had a curtain but no liner so basically it was just a thin cloth curtain that soaked up water instead of repelling it. Bottom line: if you need a fairly cheap place that provides the most basic necessities, this place will do as a decent, clean place to lay your head at night.

If you are staying in far west Houston and paying for the room yourself Crossland West Oaks is hard to beat. The staff is friendly and curteous, Sharla especially always had a smile on her face. Some rooms had some minor issues (one feeezer would not make ice, another had a TV with poor reception), but in general it is clean and the staff is friendly. I stayed there 3 day a week for 5 weeks so was in a lot of different rooms. The rates get lower for longer more extended stays. Crossland provided good value for me.

Friendly desk clerk - that is it. Heat didn't work, room smelled the mildew and missing TV. This is has been one of the most disgusting places I have ever stayed. The first room did not have any heat, they moved me into another room that did not have a TV and finally put me into a room that the carpet was missing in areas and it smelled closed up/mildew through out the entire room. My overall view on this hotel is very poor.

Convenience, its a quiet area, very friendly staff. The rooms are only cleaned once a week and the outside trash cans behind stairs are nasty and smelly with over flowing trash all the time. Its a good hotel. Provides the basics, if they can improve on the cleanliness it would go along way. Empty the outside trash cans under the stairs and spray disinfectant to reduce on smells and clean the rooms more often. Biggest deal is those nasty trash cans and the stench makes u feel dirty when u pass by them. Please clean trash twice a day or whatever it takes not a whole week or whatever.

Fortunately no bed bugs. Not clean, poor service quality. Ok from outside, but disappointed immediately when I saw the staff in front desk. The personnel did not dress up clean and she was smoking! The room is not clean, it seems that bed sheets not even washed.

Cheap. Had to keep getting my room card re-validated each day. Cheap. Nice to have kitchenette. Quiet. Night Auditor was pleasant & helpful.

The night manager was particularly helpful in giving directions to hotel and in getting my key problem solved. Key card to my 3rd floor room didn't work. Hadn't been charged. Coffeepot but no coffee in room. This was my first experience with Crosland extended stay. If the staff is this helpful in all of your hotels, I would definitely stay in one again. The only amenities in the room was a bar of soap, washcloth and towel, and toilet paper.

I liked the nice huge shower. Didn't like he tiny beds and the smell around the hotel. This hotel was not that good. The neighborhood was really nice but the hotel didn't match.

It is a good economical place to stay for an extended period of time. Easy access from Highway. Rooms can be a bit bigger. They deliver what they promise. I have been staying here for 2 weeks now and it is decent place to stay for a budget conscious traveler. The room is ok for one person. There is a one time charge of $4.99 for wireless internet access. The rooms have coffee makers, a kitchen with 2 burners and utensils. Room service once a week is included. This meets my needs at this time.

I liked the fridge, stove and microwave the best. I could have used a cup of coffee in the morning. This hotel was right off I10 and extremely easy to find for me. I checked in in about a minute and the front desk clerk was nice and helpful. My room was clean and tidy.

Location. There was no coffee maker in 1 room, I told them & they did nothing. The hotel rooms included coffeemaker. Nothing happened, I tried to contact the manager & he was not there.

Double beds. Smoking room, personalized pillow case was accidentally taken by housekeeping staff? Smoking Room had fouled smoke-smell. Personalized pillow case was accidentally taken by housekeeping staff? I inquired and it never appeared, no apologies given. Mini-refrigerator freezer needs to be defrosted.

I liked that there are three Showtime cable channels. Also, I loved the bread place Panera in front of the hotel. There were bugs flying all over the place, especially outside. The air coming out of the AC smells like the outside (moist, and swampy smell). The staff is pretty easy going and helpful. The room is nice, has a kitchen, has Showtime channels, and wireless internet. However, it'd be great if internet is free and the air is a little cleaner. There are some bugs flying about just outside the room. Also, the vent in the bathroom lets cigarette smoke smell into the room. Not a lot but detectable. Overall, it's a good economy place in a good area of Houston. In front, Panera serves bagels, among others, for a yummy breakfast.
