The Crewe and Harpur is a converted 17th century coach house, delightfully situated between the medieval village of Swarkestone and Melbourne. Folllowing on from a refurbishment in Spring 2008, the Crewe and Harpur has reopened as a Marston's Inn, offering 7 rooms decorated to a high standard with flatscreen digital TVs, tea and coffee making facilities and luxurious bedding. Room rates include our fantastic breakfast which includes a full cooked breakfast and continental buffet. The pub serves cooked food all day and is the perfect place to unwind after a hard day at work or exploring the beautiful peak district. Our selection of hot meals include pub classics as well as a constantly changing selection of specials. We have a range of specially selected wines along with cask ales and a choice of soft drinks, tea and coffee. The Crewe and Harpur is an ideal location for business travellers and tourists alike with easy links to M1M42A38A50. East Midlands Airport is just 7 miles away and with good access routes to Ashbourne, Alton Towers, Donnington Park Race Track, The Peak District, Denby Pottery and many more local attractions.

What are your breakfast options?: Our breakfast is included with the room price but we also serve breakfast for non-residents. The price for a full English breakfast is £6.50. We serve breakfast from 7:00 am till 9:30 am from Monday-Friday and 8:00 am till 10:30 am on Saturday and Sundays. The breakfast includes a choice of apple juice or orange juice, fruit, yogurts and cereals.

Then after wards a freshly cooked hot breakfast which you can choose from:

-Premium pork and herb sausages
-Back bacon
-Eggs (cooked however you like them)
-Mushrooms
-Baked beans
-Grilled Tomato
-Hash brown
-Porridge
What transport is available to get around?: There is a bus stop right outside our premises which takes you to the town centre roughly every hour and a taxi service around the corner that would also be able to take you there, roughly 6 miles away. The airport is around 10 miles away and can be reached by the Skylink Bus which runs hourly from a stop opposite the pub.

We do not have a beach around us, however, there is a Sunday morning market at the Donnington ground.
Do you have internet?: Yes we do have free Wi-Fi access available in our hotel rooms and restaurant.
Do you provide parking?: We provide free parking for our customers right outside the building.
