Worth a lookThe accomodation was very clean, with good parking, and friendly staff, the first mornings breakfast was good, the second, cold with a solid egg.The bar needed some wine

:|We were given a twin room when we asked for a double bed because apparently they didn't have any double bed rooms. The room was not big enough so that they could be pushed together. We also were bugged because a friend stayed with us after 9pm.Also, it is not really in the centre. We took a taxi there.

'White Van Man' hotel with inclusive breakfastInexpensive hotel with breakfast included. Well located (short walk in to the centre of town) with parking and garden.Booked in a hurry and did not spot that rooms were not ensuite! Also, walls between room and next room were thin - very, very thin!

Clean and TidyThe Hotel was clean and tidy and nicely kept, but I don't think it was worth the money we paid, if I had paid £10 more could of stayed at the Premier Inn which is a lot nicer. My partner was most disappointed as i asked for a double room and we got twin due to availability. Also cleaning staff were cleaning the rooms very early and slamming doors etc. If we booked to go away to get away from noise etc - don't you think staff should have a little more consideration for other parties staying at the Hotel.

Crescent Hotel ReadingGeneral impression of the hotel is - grubby and a bit tatty round the edges. - Bed was fine, breakfast was fine, although not outstanding. Will not bother with this hotel again.

Very nice hotel was a bit hesitant when booking as the comments I read werent that great. My husband and I were both pleasantly surprised. The hotel was very nice, clean althiugh could have done with some modernaisation. My only critisicm was that there was only one hand towel and a small bath towel. More towels would have been good. Breakfast was lovely

Better than a park benchA desperately run down worn out badly run excuse for a hotel. I was shocked at how they could have got a shower sink and toilet in such a small closet; The two single beds were like sleeping on a monster piece of dried toast; The bottom sheet direct onto a grubby cheap mattress. The lino on the bathroom floor was turned up and peeling from the edges. Could not sit on the loo straight had to sit to oneside to accommodate the sink basin pedestal; Shower Shampoo/body soap container was empty. Shower door seized half open; Room door to hallway was extremely hard to open, had to lean on it to open from outside and pull very hard to get out. TV sound faulty all sound was distorted. A very nasty experience over all, decided to pass on any food under the circumstances; never again!

Dated and poor value for money Pokey bedroom up 2 flights of stairs. One could hear people in next room and wandering round the bedroom above to well past midnight. Not inducive to a good nights sleep with a busy day following.Breakfast was lukewarm and mediocre although it was served to you.

Crescent HotelFriendly, helpful staff. Room very clean, tidy and very good value for money. Close to town centre with free parking. Nice garden where we enjoyed a drink from the bar.

Short stayThe room was a good size with adequate amenities. We stayed in room Number 1 which was on the second floor not ideal for anyone with any sort of disability, that said the area is nice and not too far from town. The breakfast meal was basic with next to no choice other than eggs and toast, we enquired about a full English breakfast but was told this choice is not available at weekends (strange).

Good value place to crash outWe used this hotel as somewhere to sleep following a friend's wedding. It was clean and friendly and had everything needed for a good night's sleep. Exceptional value for Reading.

Good job we were drunk when we stayed here!I would not pay £105 for this room at full published price - the rate of £39 for two inc breakfast was almost manageable bearing in mind we were attending a friend's birthday and it was convenient. But the place was like something out of Faulty Towers, paper thin walls, cobwebs and just general uncleanliness. Could not wait to wake up and get the hell out of there. The only positive was the location - only 10 minute walk into the centre.

ok to stayA fine suburbian atmosphere in quite area ...in the centre of reading. Nice, hard working staff. However the interior is scruffy and old fashioned. oke to stay for a day or 2,or if you enjoy old style furniture.
