The resort is a complex of nine three-story residences encircling a fresh water swimming pool with swim-up bar and whirlpool. The open-air restaurant and bar is perfectly set in the center, making this an ideal place for casual dining and family fun. The complimentary shuttle will take you to the beach just 5 minutes away where you can rent water sports equipment or just enjoy the sun, sand and sea. The tour desk can arrange for a day of hiking on Blue Mountain, a round of golf or an exhilarating climb on Jamaica's Dunns River Falls. If you'd like to get in a game of tennis, there are two tennis courts on site.

VERY POOR >>> STOLEN MONEY.. BROKEN AC... BROKE REMOTE CONTROLS..... THEFT BY STAFF.... RUST IN BATHROOM..... DIRTY POOLS... YELLOW WATERED JACUZZI.... HORRIBLE.. SERVICE WAS THE WORST EVERY SECOND WE HAD ANOTHER PROBLEM... NOT EVEN A BOTTLE A WATER WAS IN THE FRIDGE... DONT GO THERE HORRIBLE!!

Horrible!!!!!!!Do not go there!!!!! I cannot beleive it....theives working on staff at this hotel.... and management knew about it...this has happened before and the same security company is still employed there.....my money was stolen... every cent I had by the STAFF who works at this hotel....the safe in the room does not have a key....this was reported the very first day...nothing was done....the STAFF came into my room took my pocket book with everything....DON'T GO THERE....PLEASE...DON'T LET IT HAPPEN TO YOU.......

The staff was excellent and the location is perfect for staying in Ocho Rios. The only problems I had were lack of hot water and with sugar ants. If you stay here bring ziploc bags for any food items you want to keep in the room. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay tremendously. I was there during the off season and the resort was quiet, which I liked. Some of the staff went above and beyond to make sure I enjoyed myself.

We had a chance to visit Jamaica earlier this year and found that most hotels in town were booked up. We then came across a letting agency which featured a Deluxe Penthouse Suite at the resort and they were able to accommodate us at unit 44 for our 2 week stay. There are no lifts here so we had a pretty good walk up to the third floor. From the looks of things the suite seemed to have recently undergone some work. The staff are very helpful and we had our own maid who prepared meals. There was free wireless internet service if you had your own laptop and the restaurant was reasonably priced. A big plus was that the suite came FULLY air conditioned (pretty rare for the size). All in all this place is a good bet for the area

"the hotel setting is beautiful, could use some updating with the furniture and painting. the paint was peeling off the walls. the staff is very friendly. this is the only hotel i stay at when i come to jamaica. i feel very safe here. i do hate walking up the big hill when i go to the town, but that is what taxi's are for. "

"Words can't describe the exasperation I endured at this location. The rooms were spacious but that was about it. The plumbing was leaky, the beds were stained, and the hot tub was a waste of space. On a positive note, the view was breathtaking. A word to the wise; if you do say at this ""resort"" do not under any circumstance look under any sink. It will be a rude awaking. If you are a cat lover, this will be the perfect location for you. "

"Loved the scenery. Close to the beaches and in the middle of everything. Rooms were clean, but the bathroom is in desperate need of renovation. The complimentary breakfast was subpar- pastries were a little dry. There was a 9hr all-island blackout, we were shocked to find there was no generator, and there was not even an offer for complimentary drinks, we were told we could only get 3 drinks (for our party of 5) one time only. Enjoyed the hotel but the service is poor to say the very least. Be sure to visit Cranbrook Park- horseback riding,fishing, picnic, swimming, hiking."

"I like the Crane Ridge, one of the best location for the money. The hotel infrastructure is in need of renovations and some of the staff are not very professional. On the other hand the rooms are clean and the pool view and the town view are excellent."

"I stayed at this hotel 3 times in 2005-2006 only because they have hot showers. I spend most of my time very much inland and the hotels there dont always have hot showers. Crane Ridge was ok because I could cook, wash, have shelter and be out of the way of the beach. It overlooks Ocho Rios nicely."

"I like the crane ridge resort and that is the only hotel I stay at when I come to Jamaica. I feel safe, and it's in walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. It is so beautiful there. I just think every room should have at least a fridge in them even the standard rooms."
